Chapter Fourteen
Levi “Ice”
I wake up with a smile on my face. We have Ana in between us, which is the absolute best way to wake up.
Today I have a date planned with Ana. Viking wanted us to have some time alone. I was surprised at first, but that’s due to my insecurities of not believing all of this is real that they really want me to be a part of this.
Ana had been complaining a lot that she has been craving a lot of different foods. Her random and diverse cravings make it hard to decide on a place to take her, so I get up to make a few calls to take-out places.
I plan to bring a bunch of foods for us to eat for a picnic.
There’s no telling what she will be craving today, so it’s best to give her many options.
We have a couple hours before we are heading out, so I get everything I need and place it in the truck.
Viking comes out of the house while I’m walking back after finishing packing everything we need.
“You guys have a good time today,” he says while wrapping his arms around me.
Fuck, I don’t think I could get used to the easy affection that these two freely give to me.
“Are you sure you don’t want to come?” I ask.
“No, we all need to have time alone together once in a while. I think it’ll be good for you two. Besides, I have stuff planned for today,” he rasps.
“What kind of stuff?” I ask when I pull away so he can grab his morning coffee.
“It’s a surprise,” he says with a wink.
“Fine, I won’t ask, but I can’t wait to see what it is,” I tell him.
Ana comes walking out, looking sleepy. “What time are we leaving?” she asks with a yawn.
“Whenever you’re ready. I just need to step out for a few minutes while you get ready. Then I’ll be back to pick you up,” I tell her.
“Okay,” she says with a smile.
I head out to grab all the food I ordered. There’s no way we can finish all of this, but I think it’ll be worth it.
I grab some flowers on my way and, when I get back to the house, Ana is there waiting for me on the porch with Viking.
Fuck, she’s beautiful. She’s wearing a simple sundress and has got minimal makeup on with her hair in soft waves down her back.
I grin as I walk over to her and give her the flowers.
The smile she gives me when she takes them is stunning, and I want to make her smile like that all the time.
“Are you ready, baby?” I ask.
“Can you put these in water?” Ana asks, handing the flowers to Viking.
He nods his head. “Sure thing, have fun you two,” he says before giving each of us a kiss and heading back into the house.
I put my hand on Ana’s back as I walk her to the truck. I help her in before walking over to the driver’s side.
“Where are we going? And what smells so good?” she asks, looking around.
“We are having a picnic,” I tell her.
“I love picnics,” she says with a grin.
I drive out of town to where there’s a secluded spot looking over the town.
“Great. I just want to spend time with you without interruptions,” I say.
When we get to the spot, I get everything set up before grabbing Ana.
“How much food did you get?” she asks with a laugh.
“You said that sometimes you don’t know what to eat, so I got a bunch of stuff for you to have a lot of options,” I say with a grin.
“Smart thinking,” she says and looks over at the multitude of options.
We eat and talk about everything we can. She’s so easy to talk to, and she makes me laugh, which is why I hung out with her all the time and wanted to be her friend.
I feel like I could tell her anything, and she wouldn’t judge me.
After she says she’s full, she moves to sit in between my legs with her back to my chest.
Holding her in my arms like this, breathing her in, is everything.
I’ve lost track of time how long we have been out here but, before I can check the time, Ana turns around and straddles my lap.
I put my hands on her hips, and she brings her mouth to mine.
Just like every time she kisses me, I get lost in her taste and the way she feels.
My cock gets hard as she grinds down on my lap.
She wastes no time in taking out my cock and starting to stroke it.
I move one of my hands to her panties and groan when I feel how damp they are.
“Fuck, you are so wet already, baby,” I rasp, pulling away from her mouth.
“Please,” she pleads.
I move her panties to the side and slowly slide my cock inside of her. She gasps and throws her head back.
I take the opportunity to kiss and nip at her throat and shoulders, which makes her dig her nails into me.
“Ice,” she moans out when I bring my hand to her clit and she rides me.
“Are you going to come for me, baby?” I groan out when I feel her clench around me.
She nods her head as she picks up the pace.
I use my other hand to move the straps of her dress down so that I can take one of her nipples in my mouth.
When I lick and suck at her nipple, her pussy squeezes my cock tightly as she finds her release. It only takes a couple more seconds before I’m following her.
“Fuck, you drive me crazy in all the best ways,” I pant against her shoulder.
“Same,” she says, breathless.
We stay like that for a few minutes before I pull her off me and grab some wipes I brought. She gives me a shy smile when I clean her up.
After all the things she has let me do to her body, it amazes me that she can get so shy.
I lay down back beside her and pull her to my chest as we both just feel content and relaxed in each other’s arms.
She makes me feel things I promised myself I wouldn’t let myself feel again. She is tearing down those walls that I carefully built to protect myself from having my heart broken again.
I’m beginning to let them in, and that’s the scariest part.
How can you let someone into a place that can cause you hurt when you have been burned so badly before?
Ana
This date was perfect. Spending time like this with Ice, and getting to know him on a deeper level, makes me fall for him even more than I had before.
I can still sense some hesitation from him, like he’s holding back for some reason. I hope he’s not regretting the decision to be with Maverick and me.
Still, I can’t bring myself to ask him because what if it’s not what I hope to hear?
After he holds me for a bit longer, we head back home.
As much fun as I had on our date, and getting to spend one on one time with Ice, I still can’t wait to see Maverick.
He’s become the man I thought was long gone, but also, he has become so much more than even the man I loved before.
He’s not the grumpy man he turned into when he would barely talk to anyone.
Maverick has also been at home a lot more and has been constantly working on anything in the home that was missed during renovations.
A few nights ago, he made supper when I was sick all day and couldn’t get out of bed.
I’m starting to feel hopeful that all of this change is permanent.
My heart is still wary that this is just a show. How can I get over everything he has put me through?
These last couple months of acting the way he does doesn’t instantly change everything.
What about all the nights I spent alone and crying at night?
Or the days I didn’t want to get out of bed?
How do you move on from something that has been your normal for so long?
How can I trust him with my heart again and be sure that he won’t break it this time?
We are both healing and the trust doesn’t come so easily this time. I know how quickly it could all change.
I just wish there was a way to know it was different this time.
Could I really let myself fall for not only my husband, but Ice too?
The thoughts don’t stop swirling around in my head the whole way home.
I’m broken out of them when we stop in front of the house. Ice turns to me with a serious look on his face.
“What’s going on, baby?” he asks, giving me his full attention.
“Just everything. I just feel so happy for the first time in a long time, and I can’t help but worry it’s too good to be true,” I tell him honestly.
“I know that feeling better than you think,” he tells me.
“It feels like every time I got a little too happy, something would come along to mess it up,” I whisper.
“I’m in this for as long as you guys want me. If you don’t get sick of me, that is,” he whispers back.
“I don’t think I could ever get sick of you, but it’s not just you; it’s Maverick too. How do I know he’s going to be different this time?” I ask him.
“That’s the chance you are going to have to take. Think about everything he’s doing to show you that he’s going to do whatever it takes to keep you happy this time. He’s different now that he’s not hiding any secrets from you,” he says.
“That’s true. He looks like he no longer has the world on his shoulders. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him so free,” I say.
“It’s up to you if you are willing to take that risk and trust him with your heart again. I hope that, one day, you can trust me with it too,” he rasps.
“I hope so too,” I say softly.
I give him a small smile before we make our way into the house.
Maverick is sitting on the couch watching TV. He looks over when we walk in and smiles widely at us. “How was the date?”
“Amazing,” I say with a smile while moving to sit on his lap.
“I’m glad. I have a surprise for you both,” he says, looking a little nervous.
“What is it?” I ask excitedly. I love surprises.
“Follow me,” he says and helps me off his lap.
We follow him into a room that has never been used. What does he have going on in there?
A gasp escapes me when I look into the room.
A nursery.
Tears well in my eyes as I step inside and take in the crib, rocking chair, and changing table. There are even clothes and diapers set up in it already.
The walls are painted a light yellow, and there is a sign with the club’s logo on it.
There’s even a stuffed Harley in the crib.
I didn’t let myself imagine what our baby’s room would look like.
This is everything and so much more.
“So, what do you think?” Maverick asks nervously.
I turn to him and Ice, and find Ice grinning while looking around the room.
“You did good,” Ice says before slapping him on the back.
“Ana?” Maverick asks hesitantly when he sees the tears in my eyes.
“It’s perfect,” I whisper before running into his arms.
He picks me up and kisses me softly.
“I had Axe help me build the furniture today while you guys were on your date,” he tells us.
“Thank you,” I whisper into his neck as the tears start falling.
“What’s with the water works?” Ice asks, coming up behind me and wrapping his arms around the both of us.
“Probably hormones. The book says it could happen, but I didn’t really feel any until now,” I say with a laugh.
“Are they happy tears?” Maverick asks.
“Very happy tears,” I say, smiling at him.
I hope how I feel in this moment lasts.
