CHAPTER TWELVE
JAX
Present Day
“I’ve spent the last ten years living for today with you,” Willow says.
“You’ve given me everything I could ever want or need.
A family. Nieces. Sisters. A home.” Tears flow down her cheeks like a beautiful waterfall.
“But I’m ready for more. I’m ready to share your last name.
I’m ready to finally find our tomorrow.”
“Oh, Willow.” I cup her cheek with my hand. “What do you think we’ve been doing for the last ten years?” I peck her lips. “We already found it, baby, but it’s nice to hear you admit it.”
“So, will you marry me?” she asks.
Taking the ring from the table where she set it down, I slide it up her ring finger. Over the years, I’ve gotten used to seeing it around her neck, but fuck if it doesn’t look even more gorgeous on her finger. “Yes, Willow, it would be my honor to marry you.”
Willow grins wide. “When?”
“When, what?”
“When can we get married?” Her smile widens.
I laugh at her excitement. “How about tomorrow?”
“Tomorrow?” Her eyes go wide.
“We have nothing holding us back, baby. Let’s book a flight to Vegas and say I do.”
Willow laughs. “Okay.” She nods up and down. “Tomorrow.”
