Chapter 6
SIX
Noah
It was Friday night, and I was meeting up with Veronica and Nicky after work.
I had chatted with her a few times since our date.
Nothing was said about what had happened between the three of us.
I considered bringing it up but then thought we could discuss it later at Nicky’s hotel where he told us we were spending the night.
Or maybe I wouldn’t. My mind was a mess.
I was confused but ached for the two of them.
I figured I would be nervous about having a threesome.
Maybe I would be if it were with anyone else but since I had been sleeping with Nicky for awhile, things were good between us.
Or as good as they could be. Nothing serious like I often hoped for.
But it was good enough. Or that was what I tried telling myself anyway.
While I was organizing a few boxes in the storage room, my mind drifted back to the other night with Nicky.
He had warned me that it was going to be a long night and he was right.
It was so fucking long; we hardly got any sleep but orgasms between us were so many that I lost count.
My body still burned from his rough thrusts and strong hands.
“Noah?”
“Be out in a sec,” I called out. I was coming out of the storage room with a case of beer and found Presley heading toward me.
“There you are.”
“What’s up?”
“You seeing my brother tonight?” Presley asked, checking his phone while waiting for my response.
“I am.”
“You two good?”
I carried the case out to the bar while he followed behind me. “Why do you ask?”
“Because I know my brother. When he finds a shiny new toy, he plays with it and uses it up until it’s no longer desirable to him.”
My back stiffened, a sour taste filling my throat.
“Shit. That’s not what I meant.”
Ignoring him, I set the case on the floor and started stocking the fridge. “It is what you meant, Presley.”
“I just don’t want you to get hurt.”
“Have you ever thought that maybe I would hurt him?” It wouldn’t happen. I would end things before it ever came to that. Where Nicky was concerned, if he wanted a relationship, I would never say no to him. Maybe that was the problem.
“I love you, Noah, but you don’t have it in you to hurt him.”
I grunted, thinking back to the other night when I scraped my teeth along his cock. I was pissed he never told me that he hadn’t slept with anyone else in a long time. I wondered why he would keep something like that from me.
“Shouldn’t you be working?”
My body heated at the deep voice. I looked up and found Nicky looming over the bar.
He grinned. “I always enjoy seeing you on your knees.”
“Alright, I’m leaving.” Presley rolled his eyes.
Both Nicky and I laughed at Presley’s expense.
He had known about us sleeping together ever since he walked in on Nicky kissing me.
That had been so long ago, I almost forgot what it was like to not be sleeping with my best friend’s brother.
Presley had been cool with it but he still often told me how he didn’t want me to get hurt.
He wasn’t worried so much about his brother.
It was me he was concerned for. While I appreciated the gesture and that he was thinking of me, I was adult enough to understand that Nicky only wanted one thing.
Sex.
Pure hard fucking.
Nothing more.
“Why did you kiss me?” I asked, staring at my best friend’s brother. It was our first kiss and it completely consumed me.
“Because, why not?” Nicky tilted his head, staring at me with an intensity I felt down to the very tips of my toes.
“You make it sound like you just kissed me because you were bored.” I crossed my arms under my chest, wondering what the hell was going on. He had never acted like he was attracted to me before, so this kiss didn’t make sense.
“I am bored.” Nicky shrugged. “I’m too busy for a relationship, so whenever I’m in town, I want to meet up. With you. We can have some fun. No strings.”
But that was the issue. I did want strings. But to have the chance to be fucked by the guy I had been in love with for years, couldn’t be so bad. I would have to ignore my heart and what it wanted. Maybe some fun would be good for us both.
“No strings,” I repeated.
A slow grin spread on Nicky’s handsome face. “No.” He licked his lips, his gaze dropping to my mouth. “Strings.”
“So, every time you’re in town, you’ll be fucking me and only me.” It wasn’t a question, but I needed to know. I didn’t give a shit what he did when he was away but when he was home? I needed to make sure that I was the only warm body he would use.
“If I said I was going to fuck others while I’m here, would that make you jealous, Noah?” He grabbed hold of my waist, pulling me against him. “Would it piss you off if I told you that I had another piece of ass lined up while I’m home?”
My body vibrated. Pushing him back, I glared at him. “You do not get to fuck anyone else. Not while you’re here. I don’t give a shit what you do when you’re not home.”
“You’re lying.” He chuckled. “But okay, Noah. I won’t argue with you. So, while I’m here, your ass is mine.”
My heart picked up speed.
“While I’m here, I get to fill every hole you have to offer me and do whatever I want to you.” His eyes darkened. “Is that right?”
“Right,” I whispered, my cock twitching at what he was suggesting.
And we hadn’t looked back since.
Sure, I would like things to move forward between Nicky and I, but I would take what I could get with him.
Now that Veronica was involved, even though things hadn’t happened a whole lot between us, it could get quite interesting.
I never thought I would be willing to share someone.
But seeing him with her and how he controlled both of us, was hot as hell.
She definitely enjoyed it and I enjoyed it when she had my cock in her mouth.
“What are you thinking about?” Nicky asked, pulling me from my thoughts. I almost forgot he was there.
“Nothing at all.” But I knew that there was no point in lying to him. He knew me better than I knew myself even though we didn’t see each other as often as I would like.
He grunted, rolling his eyes. “Let me help you with your work.”
It wasn’t a question, but I nodded anyway.
We walked to the storage room and I handed him a case of beer.
I grabbed one myself and led the way back out to the bar.
We did that a few more times, working together to help the staff so they didn’t have to do it themselves.
It was one thing I enjoyed doing. My business partners, Brady, Shane, and Presley, liked helping those who worked for us as well.
We may have owned Coffee Beans & Love, but it didn’t mean we couldn’t help out.
While Brady and his boyfriend, Cam, handled the money and legal side of things, Shane, Presley, and I worked out on the floor.
We often made sure that our customers were happy and if they weren’t, we would ask what we could do to make things better for them.
For the most part, it ended up being helpful advice and we implemented changes where we could.
“Business seems to be going really well for all of you,” Nicky said once we put away the last case of beer.
“It is. Cam has been helping us a lot too. He has far more experience than we do, so he’s been giving us advice when he can.
But a lot of it’s luck. Especially in this economy.
” But we got by and were no longer in debt up to our eyeballs.
While we weren’t rich or anything, we were finally comfortable.
“I’m glad.” Nicky stretched his arms up and over his head, wincing. “I need to stretch more apparently.”
I chuckled. “You should have seen us when we brought in the furniture and appliances.”
“Didn’t you guys pay movers for that?”
“We did but we helped too.”
“That’s what I respect about you four. I could see you making millions off this place and still help the little people.”
“Nah.” I winked. “No one is little. It helps that we all come from average backgrounds, so we know how hard it is.”
Nicky wrapped an arm around my shoulders, leading me out from behind the bar.
“Do you think Veronica actually wants to have some fun with us or was she just talking shit?” Nicky pulled his arm from around me and sat at a nearby table.
“She said she was meeting us here tonight.” The thought of sharing her and having some fun like she wanted, set my blood on fire.
“She could just be saying things.” He pulled the drink menu from the wooden holder resting on the table and opened it in front of him. “What do you think?”
“I honestly don’t know, Nicky.” I didn’t because how could I? Veronica and I had only been chatting for a few weeks and we’d only just met the other night.
“Sit.”
“I have to get back to work.” Not that it mattered though seeing as I was one of the bosses.
“Sit down, Noah,” Nicky demanded.
I sighed but did as I was told and sat in the seat across from him. “What?”
He chuckled, shaking his head. “You have nothing to be nervous about.”
“I’m not nervous. Not exactly anyway.”
“Then what is it?”
I looked around us, making sure there was no one nearby that could overhear this conversation. “I don’t want there to be any jealousy.”
“There wouldn’t be.”
Even though he said that, I actually wasn’t sure if he meant it or not.
Only time would tell.
