Chapter Thirty

“What are you doing out here, love?”

I open the doors to see my girlfriend leaning against one of the large exterior columns. She’s cloaked in partial darkness, but when she turns to face me, the moonlight hits her cheekbone and lights her up. She glows like a moon goddess visiting Earth, her deep sea-blue dress shifting with her movement.

I don’t think there will be a day when the vision of her wouldn’t take my breath away.

“I was just admiring the view.” She folds her arms across her chest.

“In the dark?” I shuck off my suit jacket and place it around her shoulders.

She smiles up at me. “It’s gorgeous.”

I look out at the view she seems so enraptured with, noticing for the first time that it’s begun to snow. The moonlight reflects off the light smattering of snow that is sticking to the grass.

Distantly, I can hear the running water of the central garden fountain. It is a sight I am used to; our family has had this estate since I was a young boy, but there is always something about coming home that makes me feel a little more whole.

“Maybe we should stay a little longer.”

I wrap my arms around her, and she leans back into me. Our trip is for two weeks, and we only have a few days left before we head back to the States. I typically always leave after the Boxing Day party, but this trip feels different.

Probably because I have Sydney all to myself here.

“I’d agree if I didn’t think Stevie would bite our heads off for skipping New Year’s.”

“She is planning a banger,” I muse.

The breeze picks up, and Sydney shivers. I run my hands up her arms.

“Come on, let’s head inside. I’ll show you around tomorrow.”

She nods. “I feel like this place is never-ending.”

“Just wait until you see the tennis court.”

I wrap my arm around her shoulders, and we head back into the warmth, her heels clicking quietly on the floor as we make our way through the now quiet house.

“I’ve never played tennis before.”

“Perfect, I love stealing your firsts.”

She snorts. “You haven’t stolen any of my firsts, Parker.”

“You mean someone else stuck their finger in your ass before me?”

She gapes at me, whipping her head around in case anyone overheard. But it is quarter to midnight, and everyone else has already retired to their rooms. Her cheeks flush a strawberry pink as her eyes narrow.

“Parker Covington, seriously?”

She punches me lightly in the chest and takes the staircase two at a time. I jog after her, sweeping her into my arms on the landing and twirling her around.

She lets out a light squeal, and when she looks down at me, it is as if my heart melts.

I tentatively kiss her lips, and she sighs into me.

Our hands don’t leave one another as we stumble into my bedroom. Our clothing falls to the ground as we paw it off, shoes tumbling to the side and lingerie landing on the couch. Sydney’s knees hit the bed, and she tips backward. I kneel on the bed, gripping her plush ass and pushing her farther back as I crawl on top of her.

My cock is heavy with want as I trap her between my knees. She meets me kiss for kiss, sucking and tugging on my lips. My hand slips between our bodies, trailing that slick line of wetness at her center. She groans into my mouth, her hips pitching up.

I slip two fingers into her, and my dick twitches at the feeling of her clenching around me. Her breathing picks up as my fingers move more quickly. She grinds herself against my palm, taking her pleasure. Just as her legs begin to quiver, I pull out.

Her eyes flash open, and I see the silent protest on the tip of her tongue. I reach over and grab a condom from my side drawer, rolling it on before I slam into her.

She sucks in a gasp, her mouth forming the perfect O.

I bring one of her legs to hook around my back as I move rhythmically, pumping in and out.

“You always look so pretty when I’m inside you,” I praise her.

She smiles at me with a love-drunk expression, and it just spurs me further, inciting this need to keep claiming her as mine. Mine. Mine.

‘Cause she is.

I will never give her up, not in a million years. I will fight for her until my HP is fully depleted and I am out of lives. And even then, I would find a resurrection bug so I can respawn and love her all over again.

Sydney’s nails dig into my deltoid, and I recognize that glint in her eye. I move with her as she flips our positions. She takes control, and I watch as she bounces on my cock.

Fuck, it’s a sexy sight.

Her hands curl around my shoulders as she uses me for stability, increasing her speed. I reach behind and grip her ass and move my hips up in time to meet hers. The sound of our bodies slapping together mixes with our moans. She grinds her cunt against me as she reaches her peak.

I let myself tumble off the edge with her, emptying myself with a low grunt.

She flops on top of me as our labored breathing evens out. I focus on the feeling of her as pleasure continues to haze my body. I think of how perfect these last few days have been. How grateful I am to have her here with me.

“Hey, Sydney.”

“Yeah?”

I swallow, letting the words flow out, “I love you.”

She stills in my arms, and I worry for a second until I look down and see her gray eyes shining up at me with unshed tears.

“I love you, too,” she whispers, lifting her chest off mine to smile.

I cup her face, tracing her jaw and admiring the beauty before me.

“Yeah, but I really, really love you. I love you so much it makes me delirious. I wake up every day, and you’re the first person I think of, the first person I want to see. You’ve become the breath in my lungs, the blood in my veins, and I don’t think it would be possible to survive without you.”

“Parker.” She speaks my name with such emotion before tipping her head up to take me in a soft kiss. “You’re my anchor in the storm, my ray of sun on a cloudy day. It’s us, no matter what.”

She nuzzles into my chest, and I pull her against me tightly.

I stay awake, listening as she drifts off to sleep.

From the moment I met her, she stole a piece of my heart, and every day since, I have given her more and more of me, and I will continue to give her everything I have until there is nothing left. And even then, I will find a glitch in the system to give her more.

There is no Parker without Sydney; she is my forever person—no regrets.
