Chapter 3 #2
If I wanted to leave him alone for real, I wouldn’t have been here. I would’ve been at home, right? If I didn’t want all he was seemingly offering me at this moment, I wouldn’t have agreed to be here… I wouldn’t be standing in his kitchen.
“And if at any point this doesn’t work for you, I need you to tell me. Don’t string me along and waste my time.”
“Nah, this shit we’re doing right now is wasting time. Now grab yourself a plate and come get your food.”
A toothy grin filled my features as I moved to his cabinet to grab the plate. It made me think back to the first time he made me pancakes… that night.
“Yo, you good?” he asked as I entered the kitchen where he stood over a stove flipping something.
“Um I don’t know.” I dried my hair from the shower I had just taken. It took several washes before I felt clean, like I wasn’t wearing someone’s brain matter.
“Are you hungry?”
“No.”
“You are, come here.”
I did as I was told, folding the boxer briefs on my waist again. I should’ve gone home, yet here I was at Junnie's cousin’s house.
I was standing next to him when he cut a piece of the pancake from the plate, dipped it in the syrup strategically poured on the side, then held it to my lips.
“Eat.” His voice held no patience.
I opened my mouth and accepted it, chewing the fluffy flapjack like I had an appetite.
“I don’t do all that talking shit, so we’ll talk about this one time, let it go, then I’ma drop you off at your place in the morning and we’ll never have to talk again.” Right after he said that, there was another piece of pancake on my lips.
I accepted it, chewing and staring at him.
“I took his life because he had every intention of taking something from you that did not belong to him. And I’d do it again if I had to.” His eyes were so serious, so heavy that they spoke even when he paused.
“No woman deserves to be violated,” he said, right before another forkful of pancake was at my lips.
I had seen this man in passing several times, not once ever speaking because lowkey I thought he was a mute, but I guess he wasn’t. Every single time I’d seen him when I was with Junnie, he seemed irritated and pissed off, like everything annoyed him.
“What the fuck you doing on this side of Hollis anyways? Don’t you know it’s dangerous over here? Especially for your kind.”
Confusion swept my features. “My kind? What is that supposed to mean?”
“You green, sweetheart. You are not from over this way.”
“I am not gree—”
“You are and that’s cool. You can afford to be, but only as long as you ain’t over here, like that.
I just looked at him, feeling the temperature in the room rising. He was so cold and hard, yet he was force feeding me pancakes.
“You heard what I said?” Posydiann’s voice interrupted my flashback.
“No, what did you say?” I forked some of the awaiting pancake into my mouth.
“I asked about your day.”
“It was alright. My client cancelled at the last minute, so I just stayed and worked on my wedding dress.” I smiled at the thought.
“You think it’ll be ready when the time comes?”
I glanced up from my plate and looked at him. “I don’t know. Gotta find somebody to marry me first.”
He sucked his teeth. “Stop fucking playing with me, Karsyn.” The mug he sent my way was almost comical, especially him calling me by my first name and not the nickname he had coined.
“What do you mean stop playing with you? You don’t believe in marriage.” I wasn’t trying to be funny when I said that because it was true.
Under his watchful eye, I finished eating, then we went up to his room.
While he moved around doing absolutely nothing, I grabbed the stuff from my bag to shower.
He’d said what he said, giving me some things to consider, even though in Posydiann’s world the things from his lips were always taken as law.
I was in the shower for all of fifteen seconds before I felt the cool air rush me and heard the glass door open.
“You must like playing with me.” He pulled me back against him.
“No, I don’t. How am I playing with you?”
“If I tell you that you’re mine, where the fuck you think you boutta marry somebody else at?”
I grinned. “Psy.”
“Don’t Psy shit. Turn around, come here.” His tone was low and commanding.
My grin grew. “You gotta pull out because I’m not on anything,” I whined.
“I’ll think about it.”
I bit into my bottom lip and turned around, pressing my back along the dark colored tile.
I was lifted seconds later, back against the wall right before his tongue was stuffed down my throat, and he was so deep inside me it took everything in me not to scream.
He pulled his face back, glaring down at me like beating my insides up had somehow angered him. “Who do you belong to, Karsyn?’
“You Ps—” I started, but bit into my bottom lip. He hit me so deep I felt like I was being impaled.
“Who?” he demanded an answer with no mercy.
I pushed my face into his neck, a sloppy kiss followed before my teeth sank into his skin.
“Karsyn. Who?” He pounded harder. I just knew there would be a hole in this damn wall when we were finished.
“Youuu,” I moaned, holding on to him for dear life. “Only you.”
His lips mashed against mine, swallowing my moans as he held me in place, his assault on my lower half becoming rougher by the moment. God he felt so good, like a welcoming stretch every time he was between my legs. How the hell could I walk away from this?
My legs began to seize uncontrollably while pressure built in the pit of my stomach. I was losing it and he was helping me do so. He lowered his head, eyes locked on mine.
“I’m cumming.” I cried.
“Let that shit go. Show me you wetter than this fucking water.”
“Psy,” I moaned, feeling the pipes about to burst.
“Wet me up, Syn. Show me what my shit does only for me.”
And I did just that, seeing stars while he worked himself in and out of me, deeper every time, showing his ownership.
And hell nah he didn’t pull out.
“So, you’re saying you’re not buying him a car because of what?” I looked over at Posydiann for a logical answer rather than the look he kept giving me when I asked why buying a car for Junior was such a bad idea.
“’Cause he ain’t ready, Syn. He still puts on headphones to go out the door. He just ain’t on that wavelength.”
“But my question is, if you really want him to even be on that wavelength? You want him to be better than you and I know that because we’ve had this conversation a million times, right?”
He cut his eyes between me and the road. “He ain’t getting no car, Syn. He isn’t ready.”
I threw my hands up in surrender. “Not telling you to get him one. Just saying you should probably get a better argument because your reasoning is wack.”
Laughter spilled from his lips.
“You and Junior’s relationship is cute though, like he comes to you with his issues and feelings and you give him space to deal with them like a father should.
” I smiled. I really did admire that about them, something I was wholeheartedly not used to given mine nor my brother’s relationship had ever been worth a real damn when it came to our father.
Charles Curr didn’t believe in unconditional love or parental guidance. He was selfish and unbecoming.
He nodded, his massive hand sitting between my legs as he drove.
We’d dropped Junior at school for a tutoring session, now we were headed God knows where.
Knowing Psy, it was a food place. We were nine times out of ten about to try something somewhere neither of us had ever been.
He had this spirit about him that made it completely impossible for him not to explore and experience new things.
His Scorpio spirit was extremely inquisitive.
What was crazy was that immediately drew me to him because he didn’t like the same old same old.
He was from the wildest part of the city, but it never defined him.
He lived there, but he didn’t stay there. He was different.
“How is your mama doing?” he asked randomly, breaking my thoughts.
“She’s good. Better.” I smiled, thinking back on my mother’s recent health scare that had me going out of my mind last year.
“That’s good. Are you still acting like I can’t meet her?”
