Journal Entry 9

Zaskja Stormsson

My Wolf,

I’m furious Heinous Havrik is making good on his marriage threat, but my anger pales next to yours. You barely spoke to me on the walk home, only growling, once we reached my door, that I keep it bolted at all times.

Mor doesn’t believe Havrik would take me by force, but we nonetheless remain barricaded inside. She mentioned she has half a mind to scalp the Ravine Alpha, then slice his throat with a silver blade.

Even though I’d love nothing more than to remove that male’s magic and immortality, killing him would make Mor leader of the Ravines (since she’d absorb Havrik’s Alpha link), and then we’d have to move, and well, I don’t want to leave you.

Perhaps, I wouldn’t have to? As long as your father is the Alpha, you could go live elsewhere, couldn’t you?

I’ve stared at my front door for so long that I’m going cross-eyed. Did you go home to sleep? Are you still with the Ravines and your father? How long can negotiations last?

With all the love in my heart, from now until Ragnarok,

Zas
