Journal Entry 13
Zaskja Stormsson
My Wolf,
Oh, how the pack whispered after you left my side.
And the looks I received. Let’s just say they weren’t heartwarming.
For all my desire that you claim me as yours, the reality of such a claiming is not what I anticipated.
How I wish others’ opinions would roll off me. Where the Hel did the fearless woman from the cave—the one ready to flaunt her relationship out loud—go? Was she lost to the same wind that carried off her cautious lover?
You know what the craziest part is? How, since I came home (thankfully, to an empty house, since Mor is busy helping a new pup enter the world), I keep expecting your mother to burst through my door and rip into me—with her voice, not with her claws.
Though, perhaps, I should be afraid of her claws.
Why is your meeting dragging? It’s been hours. You can’t possibly still be discussing—
Oh, Gods, what if you’re discussing what happened between us? Are you in trouble? If your father and the Council try to talk you out of being with me, what do we do?
I feel like I’m going to be sick again.
Going over to wait at yours.
With all the love in my heart,
Zas
