Chapter 18
Dinner Receipts
Sara
Drew picks me up at exactly six forty-five. When I open the door, he sweeps me into his arms and kisses the hell out of me. My knees go weak. Just as I’m sinking into the kiss, he lifts his head.
“Fuck, I missed you, princess.” He cups my cheek and checks over my lips to make sure he didn’t smear my lipstick. “If we didn’t have a reservation, I’d ravish you right here and now.”
When I open my mouth to say I wouldn’t mind, he chuckles and kisses me again.
“Lock up.” He steps back and holds out his hand. “I promised to feed you, so we’re doing that before anything else.”
After setting the alarm, I close the door and lock it. When I take his hand, Drew pulls me down the stairs and to the rear door of his car. He helps me into the street side before rounding the car to get in beside me.
The privacy panel is raised and my whole body shimmers with anticipation. Drew tips my face his way and he takes me in. The desire in his eyes is palpable.
“Have I told you how beautiful you look tonight?” He kisses the corner of my lips before kissing the other side.
“No, you haven’t.” I smile, loving the attention. It’s nice not having to beg someone to want me.
“You’re gorgeous, princess.” He pulls away and looks down at my dress. “And this dress, fuck, you’re going to get me in trouble tonight.”
“You don’t like it?” I give him a fake pout.
He grabs my waist and pulls me to straddle him. I squeal at the sudden move and put my hands on his shoulders. Finn held me just like this today. And then I got off for Dante on the video camera. I’m having fun, but what if I’m hurting Drew by doing those things with the others.
We haven’t really discussed some very important topics.
“Where’d my smile go?” Drew rubs his hand down my back, sending shivers of desire through me. I don’t want to be a bummer, but...
“We should talk.”
“More ominous words have never been spoken.” Drew wraps one of my curls around his finger. “What’s on your mind, princess? Besides my cock.”
I don’t fight the smile his words bring out. Especially as I settle a little more on his hard cock with just my panties and his dress pants separating us. But this is important.
“We’re not exclusive, right?”
Drew laughs and tugs me closer. “Did one of those bulldogs pull his head out of his ass?”
Heat floods me. “If he did?”
“Let me guess.” Drew doesn’t look taken aback at all. “Finn seems like the kind to get a little handsy. Did he make you come, princess?”
I bite my lip and nod. He seems okay with it, but what if he’s not? What if he tells me to stop? Can I make that promise to him? If Finn kisses me again, could I pull back? Will I still ask Dante to kiss me?
I’ve been so focused on getting Wyatt’s attention that I never pushed the other two, but now, I don’t think I’m able to end what’s happening between any of us. And I don’t want to.
“What are we talking? Tongue, finger, cock?” Drew’s hands slide beneath my dress and grip my bare ass. “Fuck, princess, what are you wearing under here?”
His fingers find the lace of my thong. He grins like a boy in a candy shop.
“Not much,” I admit. Swallowing, I meet his golden brown eyes. I have to be honest with him. “Last weekend, he kissed me and used his tongue and hands to make me come. Today, he kissed me and used his fingers.”
“Mmm. I would have liked to see that.” Drew slides his fingers lower to glide over the silk between my legs, covering my pussy. Little sparks build beneath his fingers.
“You aren’t mad?” My words are a little breathy as he stirs the desire inside me with every flick.
He relaxes against the seat, slowly building the need for more. “We haven’t had this talk. I was hoping to get you off before the restaurant, but it can wait.”
I’m sure I pout, making him chuckle.
“This is important. I don’t care how or with who you chase your pleasure, princess.” He slips his finger beneath my panties and pushes inside me.
“Drew.” I clutch at his shoulders as he thrusts in and out, pushing me higher and higher.
He pulls his finger out before I find my release and sucks on it. “Consider that an appetizer.”
I bite my lip, wanting to ask for the full meal now. But there’s something I’ve been hesitant to ask. Because even if I don’t want to be exclusive on my side, I’m not ready to hear about the women he’s sleeping with. “So we’re not exclusive?”
“I didn’t say that, princess.” He leans back and runs his fingers over the neckline of my dress, chasing little thrills along my skin. “I’m not planning on straying, but I know your bulldogs are itching to play with you.”
When I ease to the side to return to my seat, Drew catches my hips and frowns. “Hey, I’m not saying it’s wrong. In fact, I wouldn’t mind playing with you with them if the chance arose, but this is your decision. I want you to feel free to explore what could be.”
I search his eyes and all I see is sincerity. How is that possible? When I met this guy he was sleeping with two women, actually three. “You don’t want more?”
“I’m done messing around and juggling multiple women at a time.
” He cups my cheek and strokes his thumb along my jaw.
“I’ve watched you at benefits with dates and never seen you as comfortable as you are with those three and me.
I’ve seen the way you look at them and the way they look at you.
I’m all in, princess. You want me, I’m yours. You want them too, I’m still yours.”
He presses a soft kiss to my lips. “Now, I’m not into guys, so that would have to be your thing, but like I said, watching them fuck you? I’d be into that. I enjoy being on either side: audience or performer.”
I squirm on his lap as my panties dampen. “I don’t think that will happen.”
Drew grins. “You’d be surprised what a beautiful woman can make a man do. Or many men do.”
The car stops.
“Dinner first.” Drew kisses me again, soft and tender.
When we walk into the restaurant, I feel much better about what I’m doing. The hostess seats us right away at a small table toward the back. My mind is so occupied with what Drew said I barely notice where we are until I look at the menu.
When I realize what restaurant we’re at, I laugh.
“What’s funny, princess?” Drew takes my hand on the table.
“This is where I always brought my dates to make Wyatt jealous.” I shake my head. “I thought if he saw someone else who desired me, he’d finally make a move. But that ship has definitely sailed.”
“Maybe he realized you didn’t want any of those guys, so he thought it was safe to turn a blind eye.” Drew brings my hand to his lips and presses a kiss to my knuckles. Butterflies launch inside me. “Trust me, I think he’s noticing now.”
Tuesday morning there was a moment when I swore Wyatt would kiss me, but then Finn interrupted. I shake it off.
“Trust me. He doesn’t want to want me like that.” I set my menu to the side and can’t stop myself from looking at the table he always brings his dates to. It’s currently empty.
“I want you like that, princess.” His words are filled with awe.
My gaze finds Drew’s golden brown eyes and something settles inside me. It’s one thing to have Finn and Dante want me, but not want to do anything about it. It’s another to have Drew, who wants me and isn’t afraid to show it.
I lean in and kiss him, because I can and I know he won’t reject me. His hand goes to the back of my neck and holds me to him while he deepens the kiss.
I’ve always shied away from relationships because of Wyatt.
But life is too short to wait for someone who doesn’t want me. Or won’t act on that attraction. My insides soften and suddenly I wish we weren’t here at this restaurant. I wish I’d been courageous enough to drag him into my house.
He pulls back and his eyes tell me he feels the same.
Clearing his throat, he sits back and smiles this knowing smile that rushes down my spine and fills me with need.
“Good evening.” The voice startles me. The server stands beside our table, waiting for us.
How long has he been there? My cheeks warm.
“May I get you some wine while you decide on your meal?”
Drew orders an expensive bottle of white wine for us. I smile at the server like I wasn’t just making out at the table like a teenager. When the server nods and moves away to fill our order, a giggle falls out of me.
Drew’s eyes sparkle as he strokes his fingers down a strand of my hair. “You should laugh more often, Sara.”
“Then I’m exactly where I need to be.” I release a happy sigh. Tom’s still missing, but things seem settled. Maybe he exaggerated the whole thing. Maybe there wasn’t any danger and he just needed a vacation.
Who knows with Tom. I love my brother, but he disappears sometimes when he gets overwhelmed. Mom worries, but I don’t. But he doesn’t usually leave me and the guys with cryptic messages. Maybe he’s bored and wants to shake things up.
The server comes back with the wine and pours a little in each of our glasses. I take a sip and sigh. Good wine.
Drew gives me a questioning look and I nod slightly to let him know it’s good.
The server fills our glasses, and after we both order and the server steps away, Wyatt’s favorite table fills my view.
Where Wyatt currently sits with his blond date.
My heart catches fire and crumbles like a stone into my stomach. My breath hitches and I can’t seem to release it. Wyatt’s on a date. Not just any date, but one with the same blond bimbo he’s been out with multiple times before.
Okay, maybe she’s not a bimbo. That’s judgmental of me. But how can he be with her when he could have me?
Drew takes my hand.
“Hey, princess,” he says quietly and turns my chin his way. His eyes are knowing and concern swims in them.
Or maybe it’s the tears in mine that make his swim. Fuck. I blink back those traitorous tears. I’m not still pining over Wyatt Hawkins. I’m here with this really great guy who deserves all my attention.
“Do you want to leave?” Drew brushes his thumb my cheek.
