Chapter Nine- Buddha #2

“Actually, no. Jamieson heard about the pigs from my uncle, who he works with, and learned that I rear them. So he contacted me about buying one. He told me he’d get back to me, but I never heard from him again.

I really am sorry to hear he’s missing. I really do hope you’ll find him.

” I put on my best sympathetic face to Jeremy.

I could tell he didn’t believe a word that I was saying, but he had no choice.

“Can’t you search the premises? I’m telling you this is the last location my brother was at. I checked my phone the day he went missing, and he was right here.” Jeremy said, waving his phone around.

“I do believe the polizia (police) will need a warrant for that,” I informed Jamieson’s brother.

“Mr. Jeremy, we’ll keep in touch. We’ll do everything we can to find your brother,” the officers seated at the table said, as they both stood up to leave.

“Phillipe, we’ll keep in touch also, and if you remember anything else, give me a call. I left my contact information with your father,” Officer Stanley said, scanning me thoughtfully.

“Sure, whatever you need. Don’t forget if you need to buy a pig, I’m your man, I’ll give you a good price,” I plastered a fake smile on my lips.

“You think you’re so slick. This isn’t over.

I know you did something to my brother,” Jeremy said, pointing his finger at me as he walked by.

I remained calm as he glowered at me. The next thing I knew, he lunged for me, tackling me to the ground.

He didn’t have the upper hand for long before I wrapped my arm around his neck and choked his ass out.

He was spluttering and kicking his feet out as I held him in a bear hug with my arm firmly on his neck.

It took Snow and two of the officers to pull me off, Jeremy. I would have killed that mothafucka if they weren’t quick enough. I got up from the floor, feeling revved up. I was ready to fuck this fool up.

“You must have seen a coffin you liked?” I told him as he doubled over, coughing, trying to catch his breath. I adjusted the elastic band in my hair so that my hair would move out of my face. Snow and my father stayed close to me to make sure I didn’t try anything.

“I promise, I’ll find out what you did to my brother!” Jeremy shouted as the officers dragged him away from the house. My father walked them to the front door. I took a seat at the table; my mother’s eyes were glued on me. We sat in silence until we knew for sure the officers were gone.

“Which one of you did not turn Jamieson’s phone off?” My mother was the first to speak, just as my father came back into the room.

“Ok, I am going to go upstairs, get Rocki, and leave. I’m not a part of this,” Sofia said, standing up and quickly retreating from the room. I scratched my forehead as I watched Snow and then my father.

“I thought you did,” I said, pointing at Snow.

“Na, nigga I’m not in this. You were the one dealing with that Jamieson shit. That’s all you, I never even seen his phone,” Snow said, lifting his hands defensively.

“Both of you shut the fuck up. Tomasso, deal with your sons. You two cannot make these kinds of silly mistakes,” my mother switched up from being Martha Stewart to a sadistic drug queenpin fast as hell, which was always something to witness.

“Where’s the phone now, Buddha?” My father asked.

“I fucked it up with my sledgehammer,” I informed him.

“No worries, I’ll talk to someone from the station to find out exactly what they know and how much they found out about Jamieson’s disappearance.”

“What about his brother? You need me to pay him a visit?” Snow asked, cracking his knuckles.

“Na, leave him. If he gets really out of hand, we’ll take it from there,” Snow and I nodded our heads at our father. My brother and I stood up to leave when my father called out to me.

“Buddha, where’s Dior?”

“She’s asleep,” I replied, as I kept walking toward the front door.

“Asleep is good. It means you’re handling your business like a Ricci man should,” I knew exactly what he meant, but I wasn’t about to encourage a conversation about my sex life with my father.

“I’ll see you when it’s time to board the plane,” I told him before I exited the house.

“Aye, idiota (idiot). Did you talk to her?” I addressed my brother as I was about to get behind the wheel of my car. He knew I was referring to Angel.

“Yeah,” Snow answered, as he paused to light a cigarette.

“Well, what she say?”

“I can’t remember. I was too busy eating her pussy,” he blew out a cloud of smoke into the air before opening the door of his Rolls-Royce. I shook my head because he thought everything was a fucking game.

“When what you’re doing comes out, and shit hits the fan, please leave me the fuck out of it,” I warned him before I drove off to take my ass home.

Walking into my bedroom, the sight on the bed was all that mattered right now. Dior was in the same position, mouth open as she snored like a mothafucka. Poor Lotus was curled up next to her, with a confused look at what was making that sound.

Removing my Glock from my waist and taking my t-shirt off, I walked over to the bed.

“Get your ass down, Lotus,” I said to my dog, who immediately hopped off the mattress. Climbing into the bed and under the blanket, I pulled Dior next to me, kissing behind her neck.

“You’re back,” she said, snuggling against my chest with a satisfied moan.

“Yeah, I told you I wouldn’t be long,” I replied, kissing her again. I planned on staying right here with my wife until it was time for us to go to Italy.
