Chapter 14 Three Weeks Later #2
With that simple threat, she opened the doors to the orgy room and my knees buckled with the wave of sensual and divine power.
Low-hanging drapes framed the ceiling and seemed to keep in a cloud of the fog of energy exuded by the students who were in various stages of peeling off their uniforms. I swallowed hard when I spotted Orion in the center, his lips on a woman’s neck and his hand running up her thigh.
Golden light flickered from every spot he touched her and when he pulled away, he drew in the power in one long breath, his eyes flashing was satisfaction.
Ally took my hand and smiled. “He won’t be too busy for you. Come on.” She guided me through the tangle of bodies, deftly stepping over limbs and couples interlocked with one another.
Orion eased the half-naked girl onto his lap when he spotted our approach. The grin on his face made me want to punch something. He looked like the cat who’d eaten the canary. “Well, if it isn’t our little dud. Did you finally figure out what you were good for? Just a good fuck, right?”
Ally gave me a smirk. “Her roommate owes quite the debt to Hendrik. I’d be wary, Orion.”
Orion grinned at me. He wore a simple groin cloth that did little to hide his erection and he patted his well-muscled thigh.
“I’m not afraid. Why don’t you join me right over here?
I could use something new to add to my power.
” The girl on his other leg shifted closer to him and ran a hand down his chest. She didn’t seem insulted as she nibbled on his ear, licking away golden droplets and shivering as the substance grazed her tongue.
“What is that?” I asked, unable to hide my fascination. I was part succubus, after all, so it could come in handy to understand this twist on my own magic that made Orion so powerful.
I’d made the mistake of venturing close enough to be within Orion’s reach and he grabbed my fingers, running them over his lips. I flinched away, but then looked down to see the golden powder glimmering on my skin.
“Taste it,” he dared me with a wicked smile. His golden eyes flashed with challenge. “Find out for yourself.”
I went to wipe my fingers on my uniform, but Ally grabbed my wrist and forced my hand to my mouth. “There, be a good girl,” she said as I fought against her. She grinned. “One little taste and you’ll be our pet instead of Hendrik’s...”
The bitch!
I delved into my supernatural strength to fend Ally off, but she was born of the goddess of war. Even I wasn’t able to overcome her as she forced the tip of my finger past my lips and rubbed the golden smear across my teeth.
Sweetness exploded in my mouth as the tiny specs of power found their way into my system. I didn’t just react to the influx of power Orion had given me, but something in his essence reacted with my own.
Something that gave me power over him and not the other way around.
I latched onto that sensation and ground my teeth together, determined not to lose myself to the compulsion running through me that wanted to push that girl off Orion’s lap and straddle him right here in front of everyone.
An internal battle worked through me as heat washed over my skin and sensations built between my thighs that made an embarrassing groan come from my mouth. Orion must have misunderstood, because his touch ran up my ribcage and he murmured, “That’s right, little pet. Give yourself to me.”
My eyes flashed open. “Fuck you!” I spat, then added, “And not in the way you want!”
Orion balked in surprise and Ally was too stunned to do anything but stare at me.
Orion had made a mistake giving me power.
Even if I didn’t know who or what I was, the instinct inside of me that countless bouts at the Awakening Arena couldn’t touch erupted into being.
I gripped onto the girl who was still licking Orion’s ear.
“You don’t want him,” I insisted and a flux of compulsion swept through me and into her body.
She flinched, then went rigid as golden liquid seeped off of her like oil against water.
She slipped off Orion’s lap and rubbed her temples as if dazed.
“What am I doing here?” she murmured, then seemed to realize her uniform shirt was completely open.
She buttoned it up and gave me an apologetic smile.
“Sorry, uh, I think I’m in the wrong place.
” She stumbled over the field of bodies and with each wave of power that rang out at her footsteps, more of the students flinched and came out of their trances.
“What are you doing?” Orion barked, but it was too late.
The party was over.
I stabbed a finger into his chest, this time steeling myself against the flux of his golden light he tried to push over me.
I knew what he tasted like now and he was mine.
“You think you’re so powerful,” I sneered.
“You think you can bully girls into sleeping with you just because you’re a demigod?
Well, you’re wrong. I’ve had to walk around knowing what it feels like to be mortal and now it’s your turn.
No one is going to want to have sex with you, not in the way you’re used to.
You’re going to have to work for it like everybody else.
” I sealed the words with magical promise, interlacing the command with Orion’s essence and making it truth.
Orion launched to his feet, his erection still impressive underneath his groin cloth. Now that I was in control, I tilted my head and admired him with a wry grin. Who was whose pet now?
“Hey, get back here!” Orion barked at the girl. He couldn’t even use her name—probably didn’t even know it.
The student didn’t even give him a backwards glance as she turned the corner and ventured out of sight.
“What the fuck did you just do?” Ally asked, backing away from me with a sense of hesitation in her eyes that said I’d done something worthy to be afraid of.
I shrugged. “Guess you’ll have to figure it out.”
The students broke from their spell and started putting their clothes back on. Satisfied, I marched through them and out of the Demi Dorms.
When I looked down at my necklace, it gleamed just a little bit brighter.
