Chapter 28

LOLA

As much as Ben wanted to go for round two, he was pretty exhausted, and I told him to rest. He wasn’t very happy about it, but he knew better than to challenge his body when he was basically still sick.

I brought another cup of tea and made him take one more pill to help keep his fever down, and we cuddled up on the couch with a blanket and the TV on.

My head was on his chest, and my arm wrapped around his waist, and I absentmindedly watched the movie he had put on.

His hands kept caressing my back and arm, and every once in a while, he kissed the top of my head.

I smiled when he did it again, turning my head to look up at him. I caught him looking down at me, his eyes full of admiration.

“Are you tired?” I asked quietly, rubbing his chest.

“No. Don’t think I’ll ever get tired watching you.”

I sighed, feeling my cheeks flush. “It’s not fair, you know? Saying those sweet things with that deep, sexy voice.”

He chuckled and squeezed me tight, pressing another kiss to my head. “You can just kiss me if you want me to shut up. Or, even better, you could ask me to put my mouth on your pussy again.”

I pressed my thighs together to stop my clit from reacting.

Damn him and his dirty mouth.

I laughed and rolled my eyes at him, slapping his chest gently. “Stop.”

Ben grinned and cupped my cheek with one hand, and he leaned in to kiss me. It was a gentle and quick kiss, though I knew he was tempted to turn it into more.

“They guys should be home soon. Are you staying for the night again?” he then asked, caressing my cheek with his thumb.

“Yes. I even brought my toothbrush this time,” I told him proudly. “And a shirt to sleep in.”

“Good. Don’t think I would’ve let you go anyway.”

I cuddled up to him again, and we continued to watch whatever was on TV.

Later on, I got a text from Willa, asking me if I was doing okay since I hadn’t shown up at The Hot Spot.

“I’ll give her a quick call,” I told Ben, and he turned down the volume. After dialing Willa’s number, it took two rings before she picked up.

“Hey, where are you? I thought you’d be here tonight. The guys are putting up an insane show.”

I laughed softly. “So you’re watching this time?”

“Morris made me,” she said with a sigh, not sounding happy. “He said he had to focus on work . How focused does one have to be checking IDs and guarding a door?”

I pursed my lips. “Pretty focused, I would say. He’s just doing his job, Willa.”

“I know, I know. It sucks though. I didn’t come here for your sexy men. I came for mine.” She wasn’t being as serious as she made herself sound, and I knew after just one drink, she’d get over it and enjoy the show.

“At least you’ll get to leave with him.”

“Oh, that’s for sure. I am only having one drink tonight, and afterward, he’s taking me to grab something to eat. I guess it’s not a bad evening after all.”

“I bet it’s not.”

“Is Bennett still sick?” she then asked.

I looked up at him to meet his eyes. Smiling, I said, “He’s doing better. I stayed with him to keep him company. He’ll be back on stage next week.”

“That’s good. Because there is this one woman who keeps whining about Bennett not being on stage. I think she’s crazy.”

I furrowed my brows, wondering if it was the same woman who kept talking to me last night.

“Anyway. I’ll hang up now. Watson is on stage and he looked kinda hot in that Tarzan costume.”

I laughed. “Shit, that’s what I’m missing? Take pictures for me.”

“Will do. Alright, I’ll see you soon!”

“Bye.” I hung up and put the phone down before looking at Bennett. “Watson has a Tarzan costume?”

Ben looked amused. “Yeah, and he even swings around stage on ropes. The women go crazy for that shit. We just think it’s funny.”

I’d be the judge of that.

They probably had so many different costumes and outfits prepared, and I would just have to go watch every show to see what they came up with every time.

Or…I could just ask them to wear those costumes for me and put on a private show.

Yeah, I very much liked that idea.

I woke up alone in a bed the next morning. No one was lying next to me, and when I opened my eyes and looked around the room, I determined that I was in Leo’s room.

I sighed, wondering how I missed out on the guys coming back home last night. I didn’t mean to fall asleep, but after starting to watch a movie with Bennett, I guess I couldn’t keep my eyes open.

I pushed aside the covers and found myself in a large shirt which wasn’t mine. My clothes were on the bedside table, and I was surprised that I hadn’t woken up as I was getting undressed.

I must’ve needed that sleep if it had been that deep.

After getting up from the bed, I headed into the bathroom first, washing my face and teeth, before going upstairs where I found all four men sitting around the table.

“Morning,” I greeted.

They immediately turned their heads, grinning as they wished me a good morning.

Leo got up and walked over to me, cupping my face with his hands, and leaning in to give me a quick kiss. “You were out last night when we came back. Are you feeling okay?”

I nodded, smiling up at him. “I feel well-rested.”

He chuckled before nodding back to the table. “Go sit. I’ll make us breakfast.”

As he walked to the kitchen, I went over to the others, rubbing Kline’s shoulder before sitting down next to him. My eyes moved to Bennett, noticing how much better he looked. “How are you feeling?”

“Good. Just a sore throat but I think the fever’s gone,” he told me with a gentle smile.

“That’s good. And you two? Are you okay?” I asked, looking between Watson and Kline.

“We’re perfect. Did you have a good night yesterday?”

I looked at Kline again and nodded. “I did. I enjoyed spending time alone with Ben. It made me want to spend time alone with each of you every now and then.”

“You want to have solo dates with us?” Watson asked, sounding surprised.

“Yes. Not often, but sometimes. Do you not want that?”

“Of course we do. Sounds like a fun idea,” Watson admitted.

I smiled at him. “Great. Today though, I want to hang out with all of you.”

It seemed like dating four men at the same time wasn’t as hard as I initially thought it would be. Then again, they all made it easy. They weren’t complicated. They listened to what I said, and they always did their best to meet my needs.

I still had no idea what I did to deserve them but wouldn’t question it if it made me feel this happy.

KLINE

I didn’t like leaving Lola alone at her place, and though we asked her to stay another night, she insisted to sleep at her place tonight. She had to go to work in the morning, and so I, unwillingly, drove her home around eight that Sunday night.

I got out of the car once I parked it, and after walking around the front, I opened her door for her. She smiled up at me, thanking me as she got out.

“Thank you for taking me home, Kline. You don’t have to come up,” she assured me.

“But I want to. Let me carry your bag.” I reached for the small bag she was holding, and after closing the car door, I placed my free hand on her lower back, and walked her over to the entrance.

“You know, I really love how possessive and obviously obsessed you are with me, but I’m a grown woman. I can walk up to my apartment myself.” She was teasing me, with a small smirk tugging at her lips.

I raised a brow at her. “I know damn well that you are capable of that. But I told you I want to, so let me.”

She rolled her eyes, which only made her look sexier. It was already hard to leave her here, but with that attitude, I wished I could’ve stayed with her.

Without saying another word, I followed her up the two flights of stairs until we reached her front door. She turned to me, with her head tilted back, and the sweetest smile on her lips. “Thank you for bringing me home safely.”

“Are you trying to fuck with me?”

She laughed. “No, I’m being serious. And you are too serious. Loosen up a bit, big guy.”

I breathed out loudly through my nose before chuckling. “You’re right. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to be rude. I just want you to be safe. After hearing someone egged your car, I couldn’t help but think there’s someone out there who wants to hurt you.”

Lola pursed her lips as she watched me while I spoke, and once I was done, she placed both hands on my chest, smiling softly. “I’m sure it was just a bunch of kids being jokesters. I’m fine. Don’t worry about me.”

I wouldn’t stop worrying. Not when I had this strange feeling inside of me that there was someone out there wanting to hurt our girl.

I dropped her bag to the floor and cupped her face with both hand, pushing her back against the door. I studied her closely before taking her mouth.

She kissed me back immediately, parting her lips so I could slide my tongue inside, tasting hers.

The kiss lasted for a minute, and when I moved back, I reached down to take her bag to hand it to her. “Go, before I change my mind and take you back to our place.”

She laughed with a shake of her head. “I’m already gone. I’ll text you guys tomorrow.”

“Alright. Good night, sweetheart.”

“Night, Kline.” She gave me another smile, then she unlocked the door and headed inside.

I stood there waiting for her to lock herself inside, but there was no sound. I raised a brow and knocked on the door, calling out to her. “Lock the door, Lola.”

Seconds later, the lock turned. I left the building, though with a heavy heart, missing her already.

Goddamn… I was completely infatuated with her.
