Chapter Nine
Nate
Ihad left my brain behind in the woods and relied on pure instinct. And my instinct told me to get closer to Vee, to tease his nipples with the pads of my thumbs until they perked up, and frot my hard cock against his.
My inner wild side begged for more. Vee was like a drug that hooked you right away. I’d had fun with guys at parties back in college, but I was out of my depth with Vee. Yet, every groan and every gasp from him bolstered my confidence.
He enjoys it. He likes what I do to him.
“Stop!” He hissed the word as he grabbed my wrists and held me back.
Oh fuck. When I looked down, I flinched hard. Somehow I had opened the top button and pushed my hands inside his pants and was about to free the enormous bulge tenting his boxers.
“Fuck, Vee, I’m sorry.” I pulled my hands out from under the rough fabric and took a step back.
What’s up with you? Overstepping his boundaries like that? This isn’t you!
“It’s…okay.” Vee panted as if he’d just run five miles. “We should…” He didn’t finish his sentence, and I had no idea what to say.
“Yeah.” I took deep breaths and shook my head to clear it.
“Are you hungry?” he asked me.
“Nah.” It was a big, fat lie. I was famished, but not for food. I wanted to be on my knees for him, to suck—
Shut. The. Fuck. Up. Brain! Vee released his hold on me, and I took a few more steps back until my legs hit his couch. I collapsed on the cushion and stared into the flames.
“I’ll get you a blanket.” Vee’s fingers shook as he wrestled his fly closed again. Our eyes met and we held onto each other’s gaze for a long moment.
I considered throwing myself at him again and letting him wreck me for good.
Then a wave of shame flooded me and I felt sick at what I had done.
“Thanks,” I muttered and averted my eyes again.
Fresh stubble rasped under my palms when I rubbed them over my face.
I’d never fucked a man before or let anyone fuck me, but Vee could have done anything to me, and I would have thanked him on bended knee.
Like, literally, please make me kneel for you, Pecs.
When he returned to the living room, his face was wet like he’d splashed it with cold water. I was sure that only an ice bath could help me think straight.
Straight-ish, anyway. You never had less straight thoughts, Decker.
“Here’s your blanket,” he said, holding out a fluffy ochre blanket out to me. “Will you be alright on the couch?”
“Yeah. Thanks, Vee.” I couldn’t look him in the eye, still mortified by how I acted. But even when I let the moment when I’d woken up replay in my brain, it was overshadowed by the blazing attraction I felt towards him.
My sexy host grabbed a small, intricately cut glass and a bottle of water, and placed them on the coffee table. Then he put space between us again.
Shit, he’s scared I’ll jump him.
“If you need anything, just call for me. I’m a light sleeper.” The image of me, horny and depraved, and calling his name into the darkness flashed before my inner eye.
Yeah, probably happening.
“Thanks,” I repeated and busied myself with the water bottle so I didn’t have to look at him again.
“Gute Nacht,” Vee breathed.
“Vee?” I blurted out, not wanting to let him go to bed like that.
He stopped in the doorway.
“Yeah?” he asked as he stopped in the doorway without turning around.
“Sorry for setting the trap.”
Vee’s shoulders tensed.
“I...there was this guy at the party and I was drunk. I’m sorry. I really didn’t know... Anyway, thanks for saving me.”
He exhaled and the rigidity in his posture melted away.
“Good night, Nate.”
