Chapter 10
Chapter Ten
Wow. The bike really vibrates a lot.
I’m not sure that’s a good idea right now because the way my legs are spread around Skull’s thighs is freaking sexy.
He’s a beast-man with a broad back and muscles everywhere. And my clit is very aware.
Lord, he’s also hot. Not just good looking hot, he’s a boiler set on high.
And I’m tingling and vibrating, and starting to understand why women ride on the back of motorcycles with rugged, dangerous biker men.
“You good?” Skull asks, glancing at me over his shoulder.
“I’m not letting go.”
He presses my hands tighter against his rock-hard abs. Lord, that’s more than I can take too. I’ve never felt a man that’s hard all over.
I’ve only ever bumped into squishy strangers at work where I wait tables.
There’s not one soft edge to Skull. He’s a machine with a five-o’clock shadow and eyes the color of the sky right before darkness falls.
I jolt out of my swirling, aroused thoughts when Skull does something and the engine rumbles harder. We start to roll. My heart leaps completely into my throat.
The bikes roar around us and fall into some kind of formation as we move through the large parking lots. Everyone in the whole park is staring.
Skull throws up a middle finger and chuckles, the deep sound shaking my chest. Making my nipples spike against the inside of his leather jacket.
The first time he leans, I gasp.
Skull quickly squeezes my thigh. “Relax. I got you. Not letting anything happen to you.”
As if on command my body goes soft against his back. He does seem to be in control. The bike just glides along. And the other bikes are the same, just rolling magically on their two wheels.
This is nothing like riding in a car.
The park exit leads to the main road, where Skull turns right. My heart rate kicks up as the pavement opens up before us.
Oh boy.
The wind lifts my hair, tugs at the skirt of my dress, sending chill bumps along my skin and new tension to my nipples. Skull leans forward slightly and my body stays glued to his, leaning as he does.
It’s…
Thrilling.
I thought it would be scary.
But this is amazing!
He growls, “Good girl,” and the wind catches his laugh as we go faster and faster.
Everything becomes a blur of dappled sunlight, the smooth vibration of the engine, his body heat, and my hair tickling my face.
I lean my cheek against his back and realize my smile is enormous. I don’t remember smiling like this in a really, really long time.
Not since Callum lost his mind.
No. Don’t think about him right now.
One of the other bikes comes up alongside us and makes some kind of signal to Skull.
The set of his shoulders goes rigid against my breasts and he taps my thigh. “Hang on.”
Other bikes come around us, tightening the formation. The roar of the engines is deafening. Wind whips harder and harder until it’s stealing my breath.
How fast are we going?
The trees are blurring, the road is zooming below us so fast, I squeeze my eyes shut.
Okay, I liked the speed before. This feels like we’re being chased by the hounds of hell.
“Almost there,” Skull calls to me.
Thank god.
A few moments later the wind softens. He brakes, and then all of the bikes are turning off the road. I open my eyes as my pulse returns to normal from the danger zone, until I see the gigantic gate that’s open and waiting. Around the entrance there are…a lot of men in leather.
Oh my heavens. Are those real guns? They’re gigantic.
And the fences are really big.
“Is this a prison?” I ask, dumbfounded.
When he said clubhouse, I thought it was like a bar or something.
“Welcome home,” he growls as he coasts to a stop in a row of bikes a mile long.
“You live here?” I squeak.
He’s already climbing off the bike, plucking me like I’m a flower. “Yep and now you do too.”
I’ve never fainted before until today, but apparently it has something to do with Skull because I feel woozy. Again.
