22. Zachary

CHAPTER 22

ZACHARY

Our parents had planned a dinner, hosted by mine, to welcome us home for the holidays, so we headed straight to my house as soon as we made it to town.

“It always feels like we never left,” Teo mused as we drove past our elementary school.

Even though it had only been a month, I had to agree. “That’s what we get for being born and raised in a small town.”

Teo squeezed my leg. His hand hadn’t left the spot since we left campus and it made me half-hard the entire trip.

I took the right turn onto Lakeshore and– “Jesus, they’re waiting outside?”

Teo slapped my leg and pulled it away. “I texted them when we passed Mark’s house.”

“Zach!” My mom didn’t even let me get out of the car before I was smothered with a hug and a kiss.

My dad was close behind. “Give the boy some space, Bridget.”

Teo’s parents greeted him warmly. They just happened to be a little bit quieter.

While my mom was likely checking to make sure every hair on my head was exactly where it was the last time I visited, I noticed Teo lugging my suitcase out of the trunk and up the freshly shoveled front walkway.

Finally, I was able to break my mom’s stranglehold, give my dad a hug, and make my way out of the frozen wasteland that was winter in Rhode Island and inside the house.

I shook off the chill as the door closed behind all of us and thanked Teo for bringing my bag in. The familiar smell of home greeted me as did our cat, Scooby. Well, not technically a greeting. He watched us from his perch on the kitty crawl walkway I built for him years ago.

Hanging my coat up, I turned to find our parents staring at us. I wondered if they could already tell, but how would they even know?

“Wow, Zach, look at you. You’re as tall as Teo now.” My dad squeezed my shoulder.

Of course they couldn’t tell, but they were all looking at me now. I felt a flush blossom on my cheeks. The attention was slightly uncomfortable. Teo was the star soccer player. I was…just Zach.

“I think you put on some muscle too,” my mom said. “My little arms barely fit around you when we hugged.”

I looked at Teo and he was beaming.

My dad added, “Your mom was worried you’d forget to eat with all your studying and waste away.”

“Teo finally show you around the gym?” Teo’s dad, Michael, asked, flexing for effect.

Before I could answer, Teo said, “Nope. Zach managed to figure it out all on his own.”

I wasn’t used to people making small talk about me. Or my body. “Can we please change the subject?”

“I just made some coffee,” my mom said, squeezing my arm. “Let’s head into the kitchen. I can make you boys some cocoa if you want.”

“Coffee’s fine. ”

“Oh my goodness! My boy is so grown up!” She pinched my cheek for good measure, then made for the kitchen.

I rolled my eyes and heard Teo mention how nice the neighborhood looked covered in fresh powder.

“Yeah, we got about eight inches last night,” his dad replied over his shoulder.

I wanted to make a joke so badly but I kept my mouth shut as our parents filed into the kitchen ahead of us. Teo grabbed my waist, holding me back, and leaned in to whisper over my shoulder, “I hope I get about eight inches tonight.”

If he kept saying things like that, it was going to be hard to keep my hands off him and our parents would definitely notice.

After a ten minute interrogation about the semester and our final exams, we were released on good behavior to our own devices. We, of course, headed straight for my room, promptly locked the door, and started making out.

“I’ve wanted to do this every time we had a sleepover,” I confessed.

“Yeah?”

I nodded. “I jerked off once or twice before,”

“While I was here?”

“Yeah.”

“That’s fucking hot,” Teo said. “Did you ever jerk off sleeping over at my house?”

I smiled at the memory. “Of course. We were like thirteen and talking about jacking off and sex. It got me horny as hell, I used to cum in my sock.”

Teo laughed and he tackled me, pushing me down onto the bed.

“That’s why you went barefoot so often at my house. Even in the winter when the floors were cold.”

“I never remembered to pack a second pair.”

“You could’ve used my socks.”

“Then I’d have to explain what happened to mine,” I said.

“I wouldn’t have cared.”

“Well, now we don’t need socks. Just each other’s shirts.”

“Or mouths,” Teo added.

I pushed him off me, catching him by surprise, and climbed on top of him. Taking advantage of his position, I pinned his arms above his head. Of course he became almost instantly rebellious, choosing to thrust upwards, either trying to push me off him or using his crotch to beg for attention.

I ignored that part of his body and leaned down instead. As soon as my tongue touched his exposed neck, Teo warned, “No hickeys.”

In the familiar comfort of my bed, we became so lost in each other and our bodies that we lost track of time. The knock on the door brought us quickly back to reality, though thankfully I had locked it.

“It’s almost dinner time, boys.” It was my mom. “Turn off the video games and spend some time with your families.”

“Well, we weren’t playing video games, but I certainly had my hands on a joystick,” Teo said to me.

I rolled my eyes and got off of him. “Your mouth gives better blowjobs than it makes jokes. Stick to what you’re good at, cupcake.”

“Yes, sir.” He made a move for the zipper of my jeans, but I pushed his hand away.

“Not now, Teo! It’s time for dinner.”

“Fuck dinner, I want dessert. Now.”

“I’m not sure there will be time for that kind of dessert.” I was able to slip out of his grasp and make it to the door. “Let’s go.”

“Is there something you want to tell us, Zach?”

My heart skipped a beat. “What do you mean?” I glanced over at my mom. She was smiling and it was a little creepy. The Deckers had left an hour or so ago.

“I’ve just never seen you so relaxed and happy.”

“Well, finals are over,” I replied without thinking. “How am I supposed to feel?”

“ Zachary Shea. Don’t lie to your mother. You were practically radiant at dinner.”

Radiant? Good lord, I was Wilbur from Charlotte’s Web .

I shrugged it off and pretended to care about what was on television. My dad hadn’t said a word, but I could tell he was paying attention. He hadn’t clicked a new page on his Kindle in the last few minutes and he was a fast reader.

“Alright. I’m just gonna ask because I’m one of those cool moms that communicates with her only son and loves him no matter what.”

Well, fuck.

“Are you and Teo finally together?”

There was no point denying it. “Is it that obvious?”

“Oh, honey.” My mom stood up and sat next to me on the couch, grabbing my left hand and pulling it into hers. She always had warm hands. “It’s true then. You finally have a boyfriend?”

“ Finally?! ”

My dad finally spoke up. “Not to be blunt, son, but it wasn’t really a secret to us. We were just waiting for you to be ready to tell us.”

“I can see mom couldn’t wait anymore, but–”

The breath was squeezed out of me with her bear-hug. “I have so many questions,” she said, holding me in her arms a bit longer than our normal hugs. “Are you happy? Are you out on campus to your friends?” She paused. “Wait a minute. You didn’t start working out because you thought you had to change your body for Teo, did you? ”

“No.”

“I’m not convinced.”

My dad saved me. “How long have you and Teo been together?”

“About a month.” In reality, it had been twenty-three days. “It’s very new.”

“Do Teo’s parents know?” he continued.

“I doubt it,” my mom said before I could answer. “Teo’s mom’s never said a word to me.”

“And other moms have?” I asked, suddenly curious about the conversation topics of suburban mothers.

My mom shrugged. “Tony’s gay. His mom and I have talked about stuff.”

“Tony? As in–”

“Our old neighbor you used to run around naked with in the sprinkler in the backyard until they moved to Nashua.”

I hadn’t thought about Tony in years, nor did I realize our moms were still friends.

“He’s an actor and a dancer in New York City now, but that’s beside the point.”

“You can’t say anything to Teo’s parents. I don’t know if he’s going to tell them or not, and it’s not our place to decide that for him.”

“Of course not,” my dad said matter-of-factly.

“We would never.” My mom looked horrified that I even suggested the possibility.

They sounded so genuine, which shouldn’t be shocking but I was still processing the fact that they were so nonchalant about the whole thing. “You’re really not surprised?”

“No, honey.” She smiled. “I knew in my heart since you were little.”

“And you, Dad?”

“I knew a bit later.” His eyes dropped to the floor. “Your, uh, internet history was kind of a giveaway.”

I could’ve died.

“Not that I was spying,” he continued, “but your middle school superintendent sent a pamphlet out about internet safety and your mom was concerned.”

“Okay.” I stood up. “I don’t think I need to know any more details about that.”

My dad chuckled. “Hey, it wasn’t great for me either.”

“Don’t go, honey. We’ll stop embarrassing you.”

“Promise?” I reluctantly sat back down. Despite the awful mental image of my dad finding jock porn, it was a bit early to head to bed. Although my phone was practically begging me to text Teo.

“So how did you and Teo start dating?”

Oh, you know, a ghost started getting us all horned up for each other and then one night I blew my load down Teo’s throat after being jacked off by the aforementioned invisible being.

“Well”– how to word this –“we’re roommates. It kind of just happened.”

“Oh my God! Are you on PrEP?! Are you being safe?”

“Mom!!!”

I heard Teo’s notification while I was brushing my teeth. I jogged over to my nightstand.

Teo: You alone?

Zach: More like lonely.

I practically spit out my toothpaste foam all over the floor. Teo had sent me a photo.

I couldn’t see his face since it was over his shoulder, but that was completely okay. His perfect ass and muscular back were reflected in the mirror.

Teo: I’m lonely too.

Teo: Just over here with this tight ass…

Teo: …and nothing to shove up it.

Zach: Bastard.

I dashed back into the bathroom, spit, rinsed, and stripped. My hard dick jutted out in front me, a stark reminder of my solitude. It certainly wasn’t going to be nestled against Teo’s back tonight.

Teo: What?

Zach: Completely unfair to tease me like that on our first night apart in weeks.

Teo: You’ll just have to punish me later.

I thought of all the ways I could do that, but they didn’t seem like actual punishments.

Zach: You’d like that, wouldn’t you?

Zach: Maybe I’ll just keep my dick to myself all break?

I slipped under the covers and exhaled. Even without Teo, it was still the best part of the day. Against my bare skin the sheets were a little cool but smooth and soft.

Teo: Bullshit.

Teo: You’re probably already touching yourself.

I smiled because he knew me too well. My fingertips had been lightly teasing my shaft while I waited for his response.

Zach: And you aren’t?

I clicked on the image of his ass and started stroking. My head was already slick with precum.

Teo: How else am I supposed to fall asleep without you here?

Zach: Tell me about it.

My toes were curling as I picked up the pace, sliding a slippery finger around the head every few strokes.

Teo: I want your cum, Zach.

Fuck.

Zach: You can have it.

I snapped a quick pic under the covers of my hard cock and sent it.

Zach: Get your mouth ready.

My breath was ragged and I could feel my face getting warmer, just a hint of sweat on my brow.

Teo: Wrong hole, cupcake.

Teo: I want you to fuck me.

I lost it. Cum blasted all over my stomach before I could grab a shirt.
