Chapter 5

CHAPTER FIVE

Willa

I had another chill day with my parents.

We went into town, walked around, and took in all the lovely decorations.

Mom bought some little gadgets for the kitchen while Dad strolled around on his own.

Then Mr. and Mrs. James dropped by. I can’t believe they are here because my parents said they haven’t been here in years.

Yet right now they are sitting at my parents’ light wood kitchen table, negotiating a schedule for hot tub use, while I sit off to the side curled on the couch with a book, pretending to mind my own business.

The whole conversation is very funny. Daddy just told Mr. James he wasn’t expecting to see him this year.

Mr. James’s jaw literally dropped. It’s weird that he looks like an older version of his son. Like a carbon copy.

“Why the hell not?” Mr. James counters. His voice is a little raised and his wife rubs his shoulder. This whole partnership with the hot tub is going to be a bust and it just started.

I want to laugh, but I swallow my laughter and hide behind my trusted paperback.

Once the schedule is set, the Jameses leave with a bitter taste floating around the air. Now Mom is serving dinner while Dad bickers about how unfortunate it is that he only has use of the hot tub for half the time.

“Now, now, Ned, you barely go out there anyway. You say you’re going to freeze your nu. . .” mom pauses and side glances at me. “It’s too cold.”

I roll my lips and bite my lower lip to hold back my laughter once again, and Dad gives a sheepish harrumph.

“When do we have access to the tub?” I ask, looking between my parents.

“Tonight we do, but not tomorrow,” Dad says, rolling his eyes.

“Mom, can I borrow a bathing suit? I forgot mine back at school,” I say.

“You’ll need to take a thick robe or jacket to get there. The good thing is it is secluded, so even if you want to go in your birthday suit, no one would notice.”

“Sandy,” Dad chides Mom for suggesting something so crazy.

“What, it feels nice to be out there naked,” Mom retorts.

Dad blushes.

My parents are so weird.

After dinner, I head upstairs and pull the bottle of wine I bought in the airport out of my suitcase. Tonight is the night to drink. I’m bored out of my mind.

I head to the kitchen and take the bottle opener and head back to my room. It’s already dark outside, even though it’s only seven thirty. I also grab a mug because who needs to be fancy. Back in my room, I pour myself a full mug. By the time I’m finished I am feeling warm and giddy.

Mom left a bathing suit on my bed but when I pick it up and look at it, it reminds me of one of those granny suits.

I don’t even think it will fit me. Feeling warm and lose, I take off all my clothes and put on the white robe Mom left.

It has a hood and feels so thick and warm.

I’ll wear it all the way to the hot tub.

It even has a deep pocket for me to slip my wine bottle inside.

I open my bedroom door to see if the coast is clear.

My parents are very square. As in, they maybe drink wine three times a year.

If my dad sees me with a wine bottle in my pocket, he may think I have a problem.

I slip my boots on my bare feet and head out the back door.

The yard is quite large and it takes me a few minutes to reach the edge.

I find the hot tub and watch the delicious steam evaporating into the cold air.

When I reach the side, I turn on the jets using the touch pad along one of the edges.

The tub gets fired up and I am excited. I place my wine bottle along one of the thicker wood edges since there is a deck built around the tub.

Then I drop the robe, look all around me at the nothingness and the beautiful lake view, and I slip inside.

The water is hot and it feels so good. I tip my head back as I lean against one of the jets.

Mmm, that feels nice. I place AirPods in my ears and play some music.

After a few minutes, I take a long pull of my wine.

I hold on to the bottle. I don’t really have time to drink when I am back at school.

It feels so good. It makes me feel relaxed.

Suddenly, I get an idea to spread my legs against one of the jets since there was a scene like this in one of my romance novels.

My jaw drops and my breathing picks up as the strength of the jet hits me right between my thighs, causing heat to furl low in my belly.

I tip my head back and enjoy the sensation.

This hot tub is definitely a good addition to this place. I feel myself building and. . .
