CHAPTER 12
Before the cycle could begin again, the two men showered and dressed. Cole felt Gabe watching him as he pulled on his jeans.
“Damn, you do justice to those jeans,” Gabe groaned as he tugged his own jeans up his muscular thighs and over his firmly rounded ass.
Cole raised an eyebrow. “You, too.”
Gabe grinned and wiggled his eyebrows as he fastened his pants. Both of their shirts were discarded somewhere on the dance floor, leaving them naked above the waist.
“Wait here,” Gabe said, and unlocked the shower room door.
He left, then returned moments later with two white T-shirts bearing the club emblem.
“Club shirts.” He handed one to Cole, then paused, dragging a fingertip along the tendon of Cole’s neck.
Cole shivered as an electric zing shot straight to his crotch.
“Forgot to tell you I was a vampire,” he murmured, stroking his neck cord.
Cole looked in the mirror. The noticeable, discolored bruise contrasted sharply against his flushed, freshly scrubbed skin… with a few distinctive teeth marks.
Gabe pressed against him from behind, nibbling the back of his neck. “I vant to suck your…” He grinned darkly at Cole’s reflection and winked. “Oh Vait, I alveady did.”
Shaking his head, Cole chuckled and slipped the T-shirt on, tugging it down his body.
Gabe stepped back and nodded his approval. “You look right at home in our club shirt. So…” He sidled closer again, squeezing Cole’s waist, his lips brushing Cole’s mouth. “You gonna join our happy little Phoenix family?”
Sighing, Cole trailed his fingertips lightly over Gabe’s biceps, then across his bare chest. “Can I tell you later?” He swallowed. “I think my brain needs to rest and reboot before I make any major decisions.”
“Are you implying I scrambled your brains?” Gabe grinned as he kissed him.
Cole exhaled, laughing softly. “You scrambled… something.” He playfully pushed Gabe away from him. “Now, back off before you scramble it again.”
Gabe laughed and retreated a few steps. “I have to get to work anyway.” He squinted impishly at Cole. “My customers are going to be very happy thanks to you.” He winked. “You got me all revved up and rearing to go.”
“Somehow, I get the feeling you’re always revved and rearing to go.”
A hearty laugh escaped Gabe. “True. But you got me extra charged.”
You got me extra charged, too, Cole thought. The cool shower afterward had failed to quell the heat in his body, and the longer he stood here with Gabe, the hotter the fever burned. No one had ever affected him with such sexual intensity before, and he wasn’t sure how to handle it.
You seemed to know how to handle it back in the shower.
Maybe. But if he maintained that level of intensity for a prolonged period, his heart might explode. And being near Gabe, the intensity seemed incapable of dialing down.
“Well…” Cole smiled and shrugged. “Your customers can send me a thank-you note.”
“Fuck.” Gabe laughed and leaned in quickly, kissing Cole on the mouth. “You’re funny, baby.”
Cole licked his lips, then pressed them together in a small smile. “If you say so.”
“I do,” Gabe chuckled, slipping into his T-shirt.
They left the shower room and paused at the entryway back into the main club. An adjacent hallway led back to the dressing rooms, Cole assumed.
“So…” Gabe cleared his throat, grinning. “How much recovery time do you need to… reboot?”
Cole shivered. “I, um… I’m not sure.” Honestly? His body was ready for another go-round right now. But he didn’t tell Gabe.
“A few hours?” Gabe smiled. “A couple of days?”
Cole ducked his head, laughing. “Do you ever turn off?”
“Not with the proper inspiration standing in front of me, keeping me turned on.”
Raising his eyes, Cole smirked. “Are you sure you’re not just a nympho?”
Gabe shrugged. “Could be.” He tilted his head and squinted. “Would you hate it if I were?”
“Why do you care what I think?”
“Because you’d be the most direct victim of my nymphomania.” Gabe grinned unashamedly.
“Hm.” Cole looked thoughtful. “So far, it hasn’t been unpleasant.”
“Do you think it might become unpleasant?” Gabe chuckled.
Cole looked him over, slowly and thoroughly. “No…” he murmured, his eyes crawling back up to Gabe’s face. “No, I don’t think so.”
“Mm.” Gabe seemed genuinely pleased. “Good to know.” He rubbed the back of his neck. “Guess I should get to work.”
Cole nodded.
“By the way.” Gabe grabbed his face and kissed him hard on the mouth. “Thanks for the, uh…” He panted, his head pushed against Cole’s brow. “… shower. Mm.”
Cole’s heart pounded. “Thank… you.”
Gabe groaned, kissed him again, then stepped back. “I gotta go while I still can.” He winked and pointed at Cole. “Talk to you later?”
“Yeah.” Cole licked his lips. “For sure.”
“And you’ll have good news for me, right?”
Cole smiled. “We’ll see.”
“Uh.” Gabe chuckled. “You’re evil, baby.”
Cole laughed softly as Gabe disappeared into the back of the club, then he walked out into the main room.
He started to cross the floor, hesitated, and looked over at the boss’s office door.
Cole shifted, hands flexing at his sides, his pulse suddenly racing.
Just do it. You know you’re going to, anyway.
Releasing a shaky breath, Cole approached the door, hesitated, then knocked twice.
“Where have you been?” Dane asked. “I came back inside, and you were gone.” He eyed Gabe. “And so was Cole.” His dark eyes scanned Gabe’s damp hair as a sly smile appeared. “Were you two playing in the shower?”
Gabe shrugged, grinning, as the recent memory rekindled the heat in his body. “Something like that.”
“No shit,” Dane laughed. “You two… did the deed? That was fast.”
“Well, not the whole deed,” Gabe admitted, stripping out of his clothes. “But enough.” A pleasant shiver ran through his limbs, pooling in his crotch. “Fuck.” He exhaled, his grin widening. “That guy… he might be the death of me.”
Dane leaned against the counter, wearing only a pair of fiery red shimmering short shorts that squeezed his junk and left half of his perfect ass hanging out.
His nearly naked, god-like physique was having a wild effect on Gabe after his shower with Cole.
By the time he pulled on his G-string, he was hard as a rock again with nothing to camouflage the erection.
His dark eyes rolling up and down Gabe’s aroused body, Dane asked, “Why didn’t you do the whole deed?”
Now was not the time to be thinking about fucking Cole. Or maybe it was. Walking out on stage with a raging hard-on would certainly inspire the horny crowd to dig deep into their wallets. Half of his earnings tonight should rightfully go to Cole.
“We just…” Gabe cleared his throat and looked toward the dressing room door. “If I tell you, it stays just between us?”
“Of course.”
Gabe stepped over and closed the door. “Cole… is a virgin.”
Dane blinked. “Seriously?”
“Yeah.” Gabe rubbed his mouth. “I don’t know, I didn’t want his first time to be some wild, quick shower fuck.
I mean, I think he would have fucked me.
But it kind of seemed like maybe he didn’t want that to be his first time, either.
” He smiled and shrugged. “We did other stuff that was hot as fuck, don’t get me wrong. We just didn’t do the deed.”
Dane adjusted his stance against the counter, the movement rippling across his sculpted torso like water over stone. “Are you going to?”
“I hope so, I won’t lie.” Gabe chuckled softly. “After what just happened in the shower, I’m pretty sure he wants to. But I’ll let him make the call.”
“Is he coming to work here?”
“I’m almost positive that’s a yes,” Gabe said. “But he still hasn’t given a definitive answer. Though at this point, I think he’s just holding back to torture me.” He laughed. “Gotta love that in a man.”
“Mm. Absolutely.”
Gabe picked up the bottle of glitter oil and tilted his head at Dane. He grinned. “Wanna do the honors?”
Dane snatched the bottle from his hand without hesitation, popped open the lid, and started rubbing oil all over Gabe’s shoulders and back. Gabe shivered; the man had fantastic hands. His cock grew thicker as the warmth and sensuality of Dane’s touch reignited thoughts of Cole in the shower.
Gabe’s breath caught slightly when Dane ran his oiled palms lower over his ass, massaging the oil into his cheeks. Dane sank to his heels as he slicked the back of Gabe’s thighs, his breath warm on Gabe’s ass cheeks.
Fuck.
Clearing his throat, Gabe took the bottle of glitter oil from Dane when he stood. “I’d better do my front, or I might have an… accident.”
Dane chuckled, shaking his head.
When Gabe finished oiling his front half, Dane asked, “You ready?”
Gabe looked down at his massive erection and grinned. “Don’t I look ready?”
Dane laughed. “You give an all-new meaning to cocked and loaded.”
“Have a seat,” Max gestured to the leather sofa. “Should I assume you want to talk about working here at the club?”
Cole perched on the edge of the sofa cushion, its buttery leather creaking beneath him.
His gaze swept across the office, taking in the opulence that surrounded him.
The high-backed armchair across from him gleamed with brass studs along its seams, while Max’s mahogany desk dominated the far wall, its surface reflecting the amber glow from a Tiffany lamp.
File cabinets with ornate brass handles flanked floor-to-ceiling bookshelves lined with leather-bound volumes whose spines had never been cracked.
His shoes sank into the plush burgundy carpet that felt thick enough to swallow his ankles, muffling any sound in the room to a whisper. The air smelled faintly of cigar smoke and expensive cologne.
“Uh, yeah,” he said quietly.
“I was serious before.” Max leaned against the front of his desk. “After watching you on the dance floor, I think you’re a perfect fit for the club. You definitely have dance in your blood.”
