You don’t believe I was kidnapped, do you? It’s hard to tell if someone is being sarcastic or not through the written word.
I guess that’s why we were instructed to email versus writing letters. Letters are too personal. You can tell a lot about someone from their handwriting.
As far as my absence, though, I was telling the truth. I was held hostage against my will. Trust me, I would rather have been writing you back instead of rotting in the place I was being held, only to come back and read your guilt trip-ridden emails.
But alas, let’s move on. I’ll play this game, simply for the satisfaction of not driving you mad enough to send me a hundred-slide PowerPoint of why you think you deserve to go to your dream school. Somehow, that sounds like something you would do.
