Chapter 12

Lewis

I’d never hated anyone as much as I hated the random people who had to come all the way to the other end of the garden in fucking October and disturbed Noah and me.

Yeah, it had been a pretend blowjob so he could take pictures for his socials but gods …. His scent in my nose and his bulge right in front of my face had nearly made me lose my grip. If they hadn’t turned up who knew what I would have done.

Don’t kid yourself. You’d have blown him for real.

I hoped he got the shots so he could plaster them on his ArgoS. I didn’t care if anyone saw them. We were both consenting adults. I had nothing to hide, and—sadly—nothing had even happened. No matter how much I still wanted it.

The voices came even nearer, and one of the people gave a little titter as they spotted us. I waited until they’d walked away from our hiding spot before backing out of Noah’s space.

He stared at me out of heavily hooded eyes, his curls were messy, and he’d never looked more beautiful to me. Noah’s mouth opened and closed repeatedly, like a fish’s on dry land, and something in my head snapped.

I cradled his bright red, freckled cheeks in my palms, gently tilted his head to the side, and pressed my lips to his again. This kiss was slower, more tender than the one before.

A proper first kiss. Or second.

“Ready to go home, Noah?” I whispered when I finally let go of his mouth.

“Yeah,” he breathed, and staggered away from the wall.

We walked back to the car in silence, climbed in, and buckled up. Neither of us spoke until I pulled up to his shack. Dropping him off here in the middle of nowhere still felt fucking wrong.

“Lew.” He swallowed hard. “What just happened?”

“What’s a first date without a kiss, Bright?

” I deflected the confusion in his voice.

“I didn’t want them to think we were up to something other than that.

” It was a lie. It hadn’t even crossed my mind that Noah wasn’t a small influencer.

People recognised him. Getting busted for a blowjob in a public park probably wasn’t the best publicity for him.

“Yeah.” He cleared his throat and unbuckled his seatbelt. “Yeah, that’s true. Thanks for the lovely day, Lewis. That was the best first date I ever had.”

RIP Lewis Aarush Sinclair.

“Thank you, Noah.”

He looked around at me startled when I got out of my car, too.

“What—”

“I just want to say a proper goodbye the way I would if I was hoping to score a second date with you.”

Noah giggled. He looked more relaxed than this morning, but I longed to tire him out properly, that was to fuck him until he passed out from cumming so much.

I leaned my ass against the stretch of wall next to the door, bringing myself closer to Noah’s height. He wasn’t a short king per se, but compared to me he was tiny and adorable.

I snatched his fingers out of the air and pulled him closer, making his breath hitch in his throat when his chest collided with my stomach.

So small.

“So,” I mumbled, turning over his hand in mine and stroking his palm with my thumb. “Will you go on a second date with me, Noah?”

For a moment I wasn’t sure if he would join my game, but he bit his lip as if he was trying to figure out his answer.

I knew it was all fake, yet for some reason I was still nervous to hear his response.

“I’d absolutely love to go on a second date with you, Lewis.” He tried, badly, to hide his smile, and I took a deep breath and did what I’d wanted to do again since the moment I’d stopped kissing him in the castle gardens.

I dragged him close to me and cupped his cheek with my free hand.

I met no resistance as I tilted his chin up and touched my lips to his.

A cold palm came to rest on my chest, then travelled up to slide around my neck, nudging me deeper into the kiss.

It remained a close-lipped exchange, but bloody hell.

Never before had I been this aroused by a kiss this chaste—or this confused.

Or not, I thought as I laid in bed a few hours later, one arm under my head and stared up at the ceiling.

We had shared three kisses so far, and every single one of them had left me in emotional turmoil.

My phone vibrated with a message and I picked it up from my nightstand to read it.

Noah: Thank you for the wonderful day Lewis

Noah: Good night x

I sighed like the lovesick fool I was, and typed out a reply.

Lewis: I had the best time

Lewis: and I can’t wait for our next date

Lewis: Sleep well x

In that mangy old shack of yours.

Maybe I should have offered him half of my bed, but fucking on the first date had never really worked out for me. And as much as I pretended it was all fake, I wanted to get this right.

To enjoy the illusion that Noah and I have a future together while it lasts.
