Chapter 14 #2
Grunting out a laugh, he went for broke, grasping her hips and hammering into her until he got exactly what he wanted from her. Only then did he let himself go, too.
They landed in a sweaty heap on the bed, breathing hard and still throbbing from the aftershocks. And damn if he wasn’t still hard inside her. How did he do that?
“This is going to be the most awesome marriage in the history of awesome marriages,” he said in a husky whisper while he planted kisses on her shoulder that made her shiver beneath him.
“If you don’t get off me and get out of here, I’m going to look like a hag when you marry me.”
“Not possible, but I’ll give you your time to primp as long as you promise you won’t be one minute late.”
“I’ll be there. Nothing could keep me from you—today or any day.”
He surged and thickened inside her.
“Blaine!”
Chuckling, he withdrew from her. “I’m going. I’m going.”
“Save it for the honeymoon.” Tiffany buried her face in the pillow so she wouldn’t be tempted to watch him move around the room in all his naked glory. Feeling languid and relaxed after the orgasmic frenzy, she stayed there while he showered and got dressed.
With a hand on either side of her, he bent over the bed and kissed the back of her neck. “The next time I see you, it’s for keeps.”
“I can’t wait.”
“Neither can I. I feel like I’ve been waiting my whole life for today to get here.”
Tiffany took his hand and pressed a kiss to his palm. “Go before I’m tempted to drag you back into bed.”
“Mmm, that’s not much incentive to leave.”
“Go!”
“I’m not feeling the love.”
“I’ll make it up to you later.”
“Yes, you will,” he said, dragging his hand down her back for one last ass squeeze. “Jesus, Tiff.” He leaned over, his head resting on her back. “I can’t believe you’re really going to marry me. I feel like I’m living in some sort of dream or something.”
“Me, too,” she said softly, moved to tears by his words.
“I expect today to be one of the best days of my life, but before all the craziness, I want you to know that the very best day of my life was the first time I ever saw you, sitting on Maddie’s bed in the clinic.
I knew right then and there that you were meant for me.
” He kissed the middle of her back and strode briskly from the room.
Tiffany used the pillowcase to mop up her tears.
She heard the door close downstairs and got up to find a robe as her first order of business was coffee.
Halfway down the stairs, the sound of raised voices from the driveway drifted in through the open window and had her running for the back door.
She threw open the door to find Jim attempting to stare down Blaine with Ashleigh looking between them like a frightened doe.
“Hey, Ash,” Tiffany said. “Come see Mommy.”
Ashleigh broke free of Jim’s loose hold and bolted for her mother.
Tiffany was ready to scoop her up and hug her close. “Hi, baby.”
“Daddy is mad at Blaine.” Her quivering chin made Tiffany want to harm her ex-husband for picking a fight in front of their daughter.
“Will you do me a great big favor and go up to your room and unpack your bag?” Ashleigh’s room was on the far side of the house, so that would get her away from any potential trouble in the driveway. “I’ll be right there, and I have a very big surprise for you.”
“Okay, Mommy.”
Tiffany kissed her cheek and put her down. “That’s my good girl.”
Ashley dragged her Dora the Explorer overnight bag behind her as she went into the house.
The second the door clicked shut behind Ashleigh, Tiffany turned on Jim. “What’s the problem?”
“I told you I don’t want him around here,” he said, glaring at Blaine, who seemed to be holding back the urge to pummel Jim, which he could easily do.
“Who I spend time with is no longer your concern. You got exactly what you wanted. You’re no longer married to me. So please go about your business and stay the hell out of mine.”
“Your business is my business when it affects my daughter.”
“Unlike you, I have always put my daughter first and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. You disposed of me like a piece of trash you had no use for, so don’t come around here now and think you have any say whatsoever in how I live my life.”
“You’re going to be very sorry if you don’t do what you’re told.”
“Are you for real?” Blaine took a step closer to Jim so he could poke him in the chest. Jim stumbled backward but recovered his footing before he fell.
“Did you seriously just threaten her in front of me? Do you have any idea how much trouble I could cause for you if I wanted to? Do you have any idea that your beautiful daughter is the only reason I haven’t already turned your life on this island into a living hell?
I have too much respect for her to tell everyone how much of an asshole her father is.
But you better listen up when I tell you I will not hesitate to do everything within my power to ruin you if you don’t leave your ex-wife alone.
Your behavior is borderline harassment, and if it comes down to my word against yours, no one will believe you.
So get the hell out of here, and go live the life you wanted without her.
Other than your daughter, there’s nothing for you here anymore. ”
Jim’s face had turned bright red, but he wisely turned on his heel and stormed off. If only Tiffany could believe that they’d heard the last from him on the subject.
Blaine waited until he’d left the property before he turned to Tiffany. “Are you okay?”
She worked up a small smile for him. “You weren’t supposed to see me before the wedding.”
He came over to her and stood on the bottom step, which put him at her eye level. “I don’t think you need to be superstitious. I have a feeling your luck is about to change.”
She combed her fingers through his unruly hair, attempting to bring some order to it. “It already has.” She kissed him. “Since our marriage has already been hexed, how about we go tell Ashleigh our news together?”
He took her hand and brought it to his lips. “I’d love that.”
Daisy was having the most amazing dream.
She and David were making love, and it was incredible.
Nothing about it frightened her or made her want to shy away from him.
If anything, she wanted to get closer. She wanted more.
She wanted everything he had to give her.
Though she knew she was dreaming, she watched the erotic scene unfold as if she were a bystander.
Right when things were heading toward the zenith, she woke up, throbbing between her legs and desperate to finish what they’d started.
She absolutely loved waking to the sight of David’s handsome face on the pillow next to hers.
If she thought he was gorgeous when freshly showered and polished, he was sinfully sexy when he was rumpled and in bad need of a shave.
The whiskers on his jaw fascinated her, and she couldn’t resist dragging her finger lightly over the stubble.
Emboldened by the fact that he hadn’t stirred, she continued her exploration, running her finger lightly over his bottom lip.
He pounced, biting gently on her finger.
She screamed and then busted up laughing. “You scared the hell out of me.”
Without opening his eyes, he smiled and continued to nibble on her finger. “Someone is awake early.” His hand ventured under her T-shirt to rest on her belly, infusing her with his heat.
Daisy moved closer to him, wanting to feel his skin against hers, but was frustrated when her shirt got in the way. She could tell she surprised him when she removed it and tossed it across the room. Watching him look at her was among the sexiest things she’d ever experienced. “David…”
“What, honey?” With his arm around her now, he drew her in closer so her breasts brushed against the hair on his chest.
She’d never known how arousing chest hair could be until that moment, and the needy tingle between her legs intensified into a flashpoint of desire. “I feel so… So…”
“Tell me.”
“Desperate,” she said, the word sneaking out before she could filter herself. She was mortified until his hand covered her sex and she had no brainpower left with which to be anything other than incredibly turned on.
“Here?”
“Yes. I’ve never been like this before.”
“Like what?”
“Forward, needy, asking for things. In bed.”
“I love all those things. I love when you’re forward.
I love when you need me. And I love, love, love when you ask me for whatever you want in bed or anywhere else.
” He captured her earlobe between his teeth and bit down just hard enough to ensure she felt it throughout her entire body.
“Tell me what you want,” he said, pressing his fingers into her cleft and then backing off, over and over again.
She clung to his shoulders, holding on for dear life. “I…I want… I want you. I’ve never wanted anyone the way I want you.”
“You have me. Hook, line and sinker. Now tell me what you want me to do.”
Daisy wasn’t sure what was more arousing—his fingers pressing against her most sensitive area or him trying to get her to say words she’d never before spoken to a man. “I want to come.”
“How do you want me to make you come? Do you want my fingers or my tongue or my cock? You can have it any way you want it. You just have to tell me, so I can be sure you’re getting what you want.”
“I want your fingers.”
Through her panties, he rolled her clitoris between his fingers, making her cry out from the unbearable pleasure.
“And your tongue.” She couldn’t believe she’d actually said those words, but now that they were out there, he moved quickly to comply, removing her panties and settling between legs that trembled in anticipation.
“Relax, honey. Open for me.”
Somehow Daisy managed to move her feet farther apart, but not far enough for his liking. He used his shoulders to spread her open even more.
A heated flushed took over her body when he pressed his tongue into her folds and lapped at the flood of moisture that had gathered there.
