CHAPTER FIFTEEN

SAMMI

S everal days had passed since she Sammi’s diagnosis. Several days yet Daddy was still by her side. She didn’t expect him to leave, not after he told her he wasn’t going anywhere. But deep down, there was a part of her that thought he would. Sammi didn’t want to think that way, but she didn’t want to be here. It was a fine balance of emotions, and she was trying not to let the negative thoughts grow into something more.

Daddy hadn’t let her return to work. Part of her wondered if he was trying to come up with a way that she didn’t have to work. Sammi was going to fight that if he tried. She needed to work to have insurance to buy the medical supplies she needed and to repay her brother’s debt.

She needed the job.

Daddy had stayed with her the whole time, even overnight. She had tried to tell him he could go home, but he wasn’t having any of it. He wanted to be with her to make sure that everything was going okay for her.

Sammi couldn’t deny that it made her feel a little bit better. He knew so much more than she did, and if something were to happen, he would know what to do. What was she going to do when he left? What was she going to do when she went back to work?

She was learning new things about her health daily, but she didn’t feel comfortable doing it on her own. Would she ever?

“Are you ready to go?” Daddy asked as he stepped into the living room.

Sammi shrugged. They were going to the farm because he needed to do some things there. He had missed out on several days of work, just like she had. But Daddy’s job was more important. He was the boss, the owner of the whole operation.

“What’s wrong?” Daddy asked. “Is everything all right?”

“Everything is fine,” she replied, looking away.

With any reaction she had, Daddy was always worried something was wrong. How was she going to change that when having diabetes could kill her if she didn’t manage it well? She wasn’t the one managing it, Daddy was. Was it fair to him? Absolutely not, and she had tried to tell him that.

Did he ever listen? No. He told her he loved taking care of her, and that this was one of the ways he could. He said she needed to learn in case he wasn’t around but when he was, he would take care of her.

“What’s wrong?” he asked once again.

“Truthfully.” She sighed. “I’m worried about going back.”

“You’re not working today,” Daddy reminded her.

“I know, which is why I am worried.”

How did he not see the reason behind her concerns?

“Why, Little One?”

“Because I don’t want them to think that I am sleeping with you to keep my job without working,” she blurted out. “We haven’t even slept together! We haven’t done anything. We haven’t even kissed!”

So, maybe there was more going on that she was admitting. Sammi was worried about what the other employees would think of her. She didn’t want to slack on her job, but Daddy wouldn’t allow her to return.

“How about we sit down and talk about this,” Daddy suggested.

Sammi shook her head. “You need to get to the farm to take care of things. Just go. I’ll stay here.”

“I’m not leaving you.” He raised an eyebrow. “We’ve already been through this. Let’s get into the car.”

Sighing, she walked to the front door, opened it and made her way to the car. There was no point in arguing when she already had tired earlier this morning and last night. She was honestly surprised Daddy let her argue with him so much.

“Now, what’s this really about?” Daddy asked as he buckled her in.

Yet another thing he wanted to do whenever he was around. Make sure she was safe in the car in case of any accidents. Not that it was going to happen. Daddy was an excellent driver, so cautious and mindful of everyone around him.

“I don’t want to talk about it,” she mumbled.

“Too bad, we are,” he said before he closed her door.

She watched him walk around, taking his sweet time.

“Are you frustrated, Little One?” Daddy asked, turning on the car.

“What makes you think that?” She tilted her head, looking at him.

“Everything you said in the house just now.”

She opened and closed her mouth several times, trying to think what to say. Was she frustrated?

“No lying. Unless you want to land yourself over my lap in the office.” Daddy tapped the steering wheel.

“Umm,” she whispered. “Okay, fine maybe I am a little frustrated.”

“Why?”

Her mouth fell open as she stared at him. Did he really just ask that?

“Why?” she repeated.

“Yeah, why are you frustrated? Help Daddy out here. I can’t read minds,” smiled at her.

“You know why,” she pointed out as his lip twitched.

“I think I might know, but you need to tell Daddy just in case.”

She growled and looked out her window. Was she really going to explain it to him? He knew, yet he was playing with her.

“Daddy can’t fix things you don’t tell me about.” He was right about that. “While I can read body language, normally, I can’t see what’s going on in your head. Wish I could, though, it would make things a lot easier at times.”

“You just want everything easy?” she asked. “Maybe I should just leave then since I’m not easy . Managing diabetes isn’t easy.”

Daddy shook his head. “Didn’t say I wanted everything easy. You having diabetes isn’t hard. Is it a learning curve? Absolutely, but we are in this together, which makes it easier. We are going to lean on each other. Now, tell Daddy why you’re frustrated.”

She looked at Daddy and he returned her gaze. He gave her a smile before turning back to face the road.

“Don’t think that your stalling is going to make this conversation not happen. If we get to the farm and you still haven’t told me, you’ll still be telling me in my office,” he informed her.

Sammi looked away and took a deep breath in. She didn’t want to have this conversation in his office where anybody could walk in. She figured since he was coming back to work that he wouldn’t lock the door when she was in there. Not unless she was getting a spanking.

“Why am I getting frustrated? Why am I frustrated? Do you not want me sexually?” She found herself word-vomiting before she could fully think of it.

That was the only way she was going to be able to tell him. The words coming out before she could think too much about them and chickening out. She would rather be having this conversation in the car than in his office where anybody could walk in.

“Of course I want you sexually,” he replied like it was obvious.

“Then why haven’t you touched me? Why haven’t we given each other pleasure? Why haven’t we had sex?” she rapid-fired. “That’s why I’m frustrated because I haven’t come in several weeks.”

She was getting more comfortable talking about this now. Sammi had tried to give herself pleasure, but she usually failed to actually make herself come. Maybe she was overthinking it, but she couldn’t stop her brain.

“I was giving you time. I didn’t want to rush you. I wanted to make sure that you actually wanted something to do with me, and that I wasn’t forcing you into anything.” His voice was soft as he explained. “I have thought about spreading you over my desk while eating you out. I’ve thought about you kneeling in front of me, sucking me off. Don’t think I don’t want you because I do. I really do, but so much has gone on, and I don’t want to overwhelm you anymore.”

And there he went being all kind. She was trying to be annoyed with him because she was in need, but she couldn’t when he was thinking about trying to make her comfortable.

“You’ve got to stop,” she groaned, leaning back in her seat.

“Stop what?” Daddy asked as he pulled into his parking spot.

“Being so considerate,” she wailed, not fully meaning it. “I mean, don’t stop, but stop.”

Daddy turned to face her and cupped her cheeks. “Stop because you don’t want to be frustrated with me, but don’t stop because you like how considerate I am?”

“How did you know?” she whispered.

“Daddies just know these things. And to let you know, I’m never going to stop. You are my top priority. I’m never going to stop being considerate and putting you first.” He kissed her forehead. “Now, when we get home, and if you are still up for it, we can do some fun things.”

Sammi’s cheeks heated and she was sure they were turning red.

“Getting all shy on me now?” Daddy cooed at her. “My precious Little One.”

“Sounds like you are calling me your precious.” She giggled. “Like Gollum did in the Lord of the Rings.”

Daddy leaned his head back, and he laughed hard. “I guess it does. But you are my precious. All mine .”

Sammi patted his chest. “You may need to get that checked out. You know, you being all possessive and all. Well, actually you shouldn’t because I do like that side of you. Maybe just the part with you calling me your precious .”

Daddy kissed her lips quickly and pulled back. “Let’s go to my office.”

She sighed and waited for Daddy to come around and help her out. She had been hoping to stall him a while longer, so he would decide to go home, but no such luck.

“Come on.” Daddy held his hand out. “I’ve got coloring stuff and your stuffed animal in my office.”

“You have Tinkle?” Sammi gasped. “I’ve been looking for him!”

“Tinkle was hanging out of your locker, so Ezekiel found him and put him on my desk,” Daddy explained.

Her face went white as he said Ezekiel’s name.

“I can never show my face here again,” she whispered.

“What do you mean?”

“Ezekiel saw my stuffed animal. He’s going to think I’m weird for having one!” she exclaimed.

“Little One, no, he won’t. Ezekiel is a Daddy Dom as well, so you have nothing to worry about. And who cares if they see that you have a stuffed animal? They aren’t going to say anything if they see Tinkle.”

That didn’t comfort her at all. She could sort of handle the conversation, but it was what she couldn’t hear, their thoughts, that worried her.

“Grab onto of Daddy’s hand.” He held it out for her.

“Why?” she whined. “I don’t need to hold it.”

“Because Daddy said so.”

She let out a humph and took his hand, letting him guide her to his office. She understood holding his hand when they were in a parking lot where there could be cars not looking out carefully, but they weren’t really in a parking lot. It was just his parking spot in front of the building. But she wasn’t going to argue with him about it anymore.

“Good girl,” he praised.

Sammi skipped as she walked next to Daddy, who made sure she was still holding his hand. But she didn’t care. Daddy called her a good girl and that was all that mattered.

“Daddy has some paperwork to do first, and then I need to leave for a couple of minutes to look around and talk to some people. Will you be okay in my office alone, or do I need to get Ezekiel or Nolan to come sit with you?” Daddy asked as they walked into his office.

“I’m okay by myself,” She plopped down on her seat he had put in his office for her.He hadn’t said it was for her, Sammi just figured it was.

What she really wanted was a beanbag in Daddy’s office. A huge one so she could lay and fall asleep or just snuggle up and read. Would she ever do that? Probably not. Sammi wanted to get back to work to give her brother money for the loan.

“Are you sure?” Daddy asked.

“I’m sure, Daddy. And if anything changes, I’ll text or call you.”

He stopped and stared at her for several seconds. Did he not believe her? She probably wouldn’t either, especially with her track record of not texting when she needed something. But she couldn’t help it; she didn’t want to bother him with silly little things.

“Okay, but if I find out that you didn’t call me when you should have, there will be consequences. Major consequences.”

She nodded and watched as Daddy got everything situated on his desk before he sat down. It was like clockwork with what he did when he got to the office. She had only seen him do it once, but it was the same today.

She watched as he pulled some papers from his desk, reading through them. Her mind wandered to what he had said in the car. Would he let her suck his cock while he was working? Would she like it? Would he lock the door, or would he leave it unlocked so anyone could come in?

Daddy looked up and met her eye. “Is everything okay? Do you want to color or take a nap?”

“Can I suck your cock?” she blurted.
