Chapter 25 Happy, Happy #2
“My grandmother told me you taught her how to make an online call. She is eager to try her skills once we return home.” Home. That was precisely how Scotland felt, and that told her everything. Niall was home.
They entered the luxurious cabin together. Niall had told her that although secluded, the lodge had every amenity.
Suzie admired the open-plan room. The place oozed elegant class and comfort.
“Want a drink or anything to eat?” Niall asked.
“No, thanks,” Suzie said.
“Thank goodness!” Niall plucked her off her feet, and she shrieked with joy.
“I could’ve walked,” she protested.
“Yes, but I like you in my arms.”
He set her on her feet in the bedroom. A massive bed occupied the room, and a slightly open door indicated an attached bathroom on the right.
“I have to keep pinching myself.” Niall traced a finger down her cheek, his expression full of tenderness.
Suzie laughed and brushed his hair off his face. “Our marriage does seem dreamlike.”
He froze at her touch, hesitating before he kissed her.
“Is something wrong?” Suzie asked, pulling back a fraction when he lifted his mouth.
“It’s difficult to control myself when my bear is urging me to hustle. He wants the claiming done so he can bask in having a mate,” Niall said dryly. “It’s weird because I want the same thing, but I’d hate to scare you.”
“Niall.” Suzie wrapped her hands around his biceps and smiled.
“You’d never hurt me—not physically. I’m sure we’ll have an argument or two in the future, but we’ll settle our differences like adults.
I trust you.” She wrinkled her nose. “Besides, my control is a little iffy, too. Maybe we shouldn’t have waited. ”
“We did the right thing. I wanted you to be certain, and I figured you’d never go through with the marriage if you didn’t love me. Now that we’re married, we’re stuck together.”
“And I couldn’t be happier. Take off your suit jacket and tie. I don’t want to tear your beautiful clothes.” Her hands trembled as she stepped back.
“Let me get the zipper on your gown. Did I tell you how beautiful you look? My mate. When did I ever get so lucky?”
“You say all the right things,” Suzie murmured, hiding her smile.
In the looks department, she was ordinary.
She tiptoed into striking if she smiled, but Niall studied her as if she were a priceless jewel.
And that, her grandmother had told her in a satisfied tone, was worth everything. She had caught herself a good one.
Suzie had already known that without her grandmother’s approval.
Niall’s fingers were cool against her spine as he tugged down her zipper. She suppressed her shiver of awareness as she turned to him. Their gazes met, and her breathing stalled.
“I love you so much,” she whispered.
“Show me,” he whispered back. His suit jacket and tie flew in different directions, and Suzie chuckled. She let her gown slither to the floor but picked it up and hung her dress before closing the wardrobe door. Her husband stood before her in all his naked glory.
“Nice,” she said with honest appreciation. “Someone looks ready for action.”
“Your lingerie is beautiful. More thought than substance.”
Suzie laughed again. “A present from my grandparents, if you can believe it.”
She went to unhook her bra, but Niall halted her.
“Let me,” he said, his voice hoarse. “Please.”
Suzie blinked at his awe and the open love in his expression. His hands trembled when he placed them on her shoulders, and an answering ripple ran through her stomach.
“I can’t believe I’m so nervous,” she whispered, meeting his gaze. “I mean, we’ve done this before.”
“This time, it’s with commitment and intent. That makes it more significant.”
“When did you get so wise?” she teased.
“Angus tells me I’m old before my time.”
“He wouldn’t say that if he’d seen you this week. You’re not old, Niall. You’re mature and thoughtful.” She grinned on noticing the hint of red on his cheeks.
“Enough talk.” With a flick of his fingers, her bra released.
He whisked down her panties before taking her hand and leading her to the bed.
Instead of scooping her off her feet and settling her on the mattress, he flopped on the bed and held his arms out.
She settled on top of him, curling close because it was chilly and he was warm.
Their lips met, explored, and Suzie drifted in a world of touch and passion.
Instead of hurrying, he kissed the tip of her nose playfully. Niall nuzzled her neck, and her breath caught, but he moved on, laying a path of kisses along her jawline. She gripped his shoulders tightly, her breath coming in fast pants. This man. He turned her world upside down.
Finally, Niall claimed her lips again, his fingers running down her back to cup her backside. He squeezed her buttocks, making her laugh.
“Not my best feature, buddy.”
He lifted his head to wink. “I like all of you. Not one part of you is inferior. Please remember that.”
Her man meant it. Every single word. If she weren’t already crazy about him, she would’ve fallen hopelessly then. “I love you, Niall. Kiss me. Mark me. Make me yours.”
“Only if you’ll return the favor,” he said, his tone solemn.
“Always,” she said, meaning it with every part of her.
Their loving took on a more serious tone then, their kisses slower and communicating everything. Tenderness. Caring. Love.
Suzie kissed Niall’s shoulders, nibbled his neck, and sucked tiny love bites on his chest. She savored each groan that escaped him, each caught breath as he allowed her to explore.
“No more,” he gasped and settled in to kiss her again with serious intent. “Mine,” he said when their lips parted, and they were both panting.
His hands glided over her body, transmitting silent messages, and she melted against him, enjoying his solid strength.
He shaped her breasts with his big hands, the sweetness of his kiss drawing a ragged gasp from her.
The man knew how to kiss. Kisses charged with such warmth.
When his lips moved lower, sliding down her neck and skimming across the upper swell of her breasts, she sighed.
The wet pull of his mouth on her nipple had her wriggling, silently begging for more.
Niall rolled their bodies to shift position, one hand sliding down her torso to cup her hip.
“Niall,” she whispered.
“Am I doing something wrong?” A trace of mischief colored his tone. The man understood precisely what he was doing to her. She ached for him, needing him more than her next breath.
“Please.” It was a touch short of begging, and they both knew it.
Niall didn’t dally any longer. Smart man. He used his knee to part her thighs and resettled his body. But when she glanced at his face, she saw the same desperation.
“My bear is mighty impatient. I’m fighting a losing battle,” he confessed. “He has wanted to claim you from the start.”
“My feline wants the same.” She winked. “She just has better manners than your bear.”
Niall groaned and nibbled the side of her throat, a hairsbreadth from the juncture of her neck and shoulder.
He licked the sensitive spot, and a shudder worked through her.
That felt amazing. Suzie slid against him, feeling his hardness as she stretched to lick him in the same place.
His tremble was gratifying, and she lifted her head to offer him a lazy smile.
“Let’s do it together. I dare you to get the timing right and bite me during my orgasm.”
“No pressure.” His laughing groan had her giggling.
“I’m sure we’ll have fun trying,” she said primly.
He groaned again, but his fingers tightened against her hips, and he moved a fraction before he guided himself to her entrance. Eagerly, she arched into his stroke and sighed at the sense of fullness as he pushed inside her.
“That feels amazing,” she whispered against his neck with an added flicker of her tongue.
“Yes,” he said, laving that fleshy spot on her neck.
It was like poking her finger into a light socket, or at least how she imagined this might feel. Everything inside her lit with amplified pleasure. Maybe it was the moment or their intent. Her lungs labored for air, and she gasped, shuddering. Magical.
Niall flexed his hips, invading and retreating. Filling her while he licked and kissed the marking site. Suzie was more hesitant, uncertain because there would be pain but positive she wanted to take this step. This connection between them would only deepen.
Niall gently raked his teeth over her tender skin, and she jumped, her heart beating impossibly fast. The sensations continued to grow until they became overwhelming.
He surrounded her with familiar warmth and bulk, and the flash of anxiety faded.
She nibbled and sucked, and it was easy to tell he was feeling a similar exhilaration.
The slow climb to pleasure was overwhelming but oh-so-good.
Magic suffused her, and her world stopped before instinct drove her to sink her teeth into Niall’s neck.
As the coppery taste filled her mouth, a slice of pain had her freezing.
For an instant, there was stillness and nothing but the tick of a clock.
Then Niall’s tongue smoothed across his bite mark.
Instinct had Suzie mirroring the action, and the pain receded, replaced by pleasure so intense she wasn’t confident her body could contain the blissful sensations.
Niall jerked in her arms, his hips surging against hers. She clutched his shoulders, holding tight through this emotional storm that swirled through her, unprepared when she thought she’d known everything.
Suzie gave one final swipe of her tongue and lifted her head. She’d left a red, raised mark on Niall’s neck, and curious, she skimmed it with her fingertips.
His soft curse had her jerking away, her heart beating extra fast.
“Sweetheart, you’re welcome to touch any time. It’s just that was intense. I’ll show you what I mean.”
