Chapter 35
CHAPTER THIRTY-FIVE
GREG
I watched Tony pack his suitcase, preparing for our trip to Delaware for my sister’s graduation. “Are you sure you’re okay to go? Your father’s only been home from the hospital for five days.”
He stopped what he was doing and turned to face me.
He put his hands on my hips and pulled me close.
“I cannot wait to get on the road with you. My father is in good hands. He’s been a grumpy asshole—in case you were wondering where Marco got it.
That’s why Marco finally sicced Liam on him.
Liam is a good nurse, and he won’t put up with my father’s shit just like he doesn’t put up with my brother’s shit. ”
I had to laugh. I had seen the way Liam handled Marco’s moodiness, and it was indeed a thing of beauty.
Tony’s father had stayed in the hospital for six days.
When he finally went home, he’d gotten upset because the family had set up a bedroom for him on the first floor so he wouldn’t have to climb the stairs.
I wasn’t there when it happened, but Liam told me that Tony finally lost it when his father yelled at his mother for putting him on the ground floor like an invalid.
His mother had started to cry, and Tony had laid into his father hard about disrespecting his wife and ignoring all the wonderful things she’d done for him.
Apparently, that had shut him up, at least about the bedroom.
He still complained about the food, the exercise, the pain, the medications, just about everything else you could think of.
That was when they’d brought in Liam. He’d taken time off from his job at the VNA clinic and taken over full-time care of Tony’s father. The family insisted on paying him for his time, even though he’d offered to do it for free.
“All right, I’ll stop worrying.” I kissed him tenderly. “Finish packing so we can get on the road.”
To be fair, my own anxiety was pretty high at the moment. I hadn’t seen either of my siblings in over a decade. I had no idea how this would go. I’d spoken to Becky a few times, but Ethan had not reached out to me at all. I was doubly glad Tony would be with me in case it all went badly.
Once we got out of the City, the drive to Wilmington, Delaware, was pretty much a straight shot down I-95.
The traffic wasn’t too bad since it was mid-morning on a Wednesday, and we made it to our hotel in a little over two hours.
Luckily, they let us check in early, so we brought our luggage to the room and went out to get lunch.
While we were waiting for our food, I texted my sister.
We made it to our hotel. We’re having lunch now.
She replied a few minutes later.
That’s great. Ethan’s flight is scheduled to land around three.
So he is coming.
Yes. He’s nervous about seeing us after such a long time.
Same.
Can I call you?
I glanced over at Tony. “Are you okay with Becky calling me? I’m guessing she wants to ask me something that’s too long to text.”
He smiled. “That’s fine. She’s your sister.”
Sure.
A moment later, my phone vibrated with a call. “Hey, Becky. What’s up?”
There was a hesitant silence before she said, “I was wondering if we could have dinner together somewhere near your hotel.”
“That sounds good to me,” I replied. “Did you have a place in mind?”
“You’re at the Marriott, right?”
“Yes.”
“There’s a restaurant a couple of blocks away that has good food, and it’s not too expensive.”
“Sounds good,” I said. “Text me the address.”
“Will do.” After a long pause, she added, “And afterward, maybe we could all go back to your hotel so we can talk. I think it’s going to take longer than the restaurant will let us stay.”
I huffed a laugh. “Of that I have no doubt.” I met Tony’s gaze when I spoke next. “Tony and I have a suite, so we can just go back to our room and use the semi-comfortable sofa and chairs.” My wonderful boyfriend smiled and nodded in agreement.
“Oh, that’s great. Thank you, Greg. I’m really looking forward to seeing you again.”
“Me too. What time do you want to meet for dinner?”
“How does six sound?” she asked.
“That works for me. See you then.”
I ended the call and blew out a breath. “It’s really happening.”
Tony reached across the table and took my hand. “It is. It’s going to be okay.”
I squeezed his hand. “What if it isn’t?”
He raised my hand to his lips. “If it isn’t, I’ll be there to help you get through it.”
Once again, the words were there but wouldn’t come. I hoped I would be able to get them out one day. Instead, I asked, “How’s Pete doing?”
Pete had been injured in the personnel extraction mission Tony and Marco had to put together the night their dad was in the hospital for heart surgery.
Tony said the mission itself was a success.
Pete had gotten hurt when he’d been pushed into a set of metal shelves and something heavy and sharp hit him on the head.
He’d ended up with ten stitches and a bad concussion.
“He’s good,” Tony replied. “Liam said the concussion resolved with no issues, and the wound is healing well.”
“That’s a relief. Is Alessandro still mad at Michael?” It turned out Gio really liked being part of the extraction team and wanted to do it again. Alessandro lost it and blamed Michael for suggesting that Gio do it in the first place.
Tony rolled his eyes. “Probably. Sal said not to worry about it. Alessandro is just being overprotective. I just don’t want the asshole going after Michael because that would not end well for anybody. Marco would kill him, and then Sal and I would be at war.”
“Oh shit,” I whispered. “Is that likely to happen?”
“Which part?” Then he shook his head and sighed heavily. “No. Sal has an iron grip on his people. Alessandro would never go against him.”
“That’s good to know.” Inwardly, I marveled at how calm I was when talking about a mob boss potentially going after Tony’s family.
We moved to lighter topics of conversation and decided to explore Wilmington after lunch.
I was happy to be moving around because I felt like I was coming out of my skin with anticipation.
During our wanderings, we found the restaurant my sister had suggested and checked out the menu.
The food looked good, and the place had a nice vibe.
When we got back to our hotel, I decided to shower to wash the travel ick off me. I’d just gotten in when the shower door opened and Tony’s big body pressed against me. I leaned back and hummed in contentment. “Hey there.”
He sank his teeth into the juncture of my neck and shoulder, sending a shiver down my spine. “Hey,” he said hoarsely. “How about I distract you?”
“You have the best ideas.”
He opened the bottle of lube he brought into the shower and poured a generous amount into his palm.
He cupped my balls with one hand and stroked my hardening cock with the other.
I groaned, and my hips jerked forward, looking for more friction.
He let go of my sack and ran two fingers down my crease, finally resting them against my hole.
“Yes,” I hissed. “Put them in me. Fuck me with your fingers.”
“You got it, baby.” He slid both fingers inside me, and I moaned at the stretch and burn.
I pressed my hips back against his hand. “More. Deeper.”
We found our rhythm as his fingers fucked into me, and I thrust into his fist. All too soon, I felt my orgasm build, spreading from the base of my spine down to my balls. “I’m close,” I ground out.
His grip around my dick tightened and his pace sped up. He leaned forward and whispered in my ear, “Come for me.”
My vision whited out as the pleasure coursed through me, nearly sending me to my knees. My cock throbbed in his hand as I watched my cum shoot into the tub and get washed down the drain.
Tony gently removed his fingers from my ass and wrapped his strong arms around me, his rock-hard cock pressed into my back. I turned and dropped to my knees, taking him down my throat in one swallow.
“Fuck!” Tony shouted. He fisted his hand in my hair and pulled out halfway. “Do you want me to fuck your face?” I nodded vigorously, not wanting to let go of his cock.
He tightened his grip on my hair and started shuttling his cock in and out of my mouth.
My throat ached and tears streamed down my cheeks as I took him all the way.
“That’s it,” he growled. “Take it. Take it all.” His dick got impossibly harder before he threw his head back with a roar and came down my throat.
I swallowed every drop before falling back on my heels, gasping for breath. I smiled up at him through the spray of water. “Best. Distraction. Ever.”
