Chapter 24
Ifound a way to get to Storm. It was brilliant, actually. I surprised myself with this new plan and just when I thought I was out of options. By tomorrow night, everything will be right again. She will be gone and I will no longer be tormented by her existence.
I know I should forget this silly plan to harm the woman so many people love and go home. But I can’t. The horse is out of the barn, as they say, and there was no going back.
Staying at the new resort was a huge help from Storm that I didn’t know I needed. I should have thanked the big bodyguard whose shirts stretched tight over those muscles. He looked uncomfortable to me, not sexy the way she saw him.
With all the people around the resort from guests to workers, it would take days to figure out who could have put the poison in her food. By then I would be long gone. No one would suspect me. No one knew I was there.
And if a few others died in the process because they too would have eaten the contaminated food—so be it.
