Chapter Nine

Within seconds of entering the motel room, Hawk had her pressed up against the door, and his lips were on hers. There was no gentleness to his kiss. He ravished her mouth, and she was more than happy to be ravished.

He growled against her lips, and then broke the kiss and began to slide his lips down her neck. When he got to her pulse, she let out a gasp as he nipped. It was a little painful at first, but soon changed, becoming so erotic, she didn’t want him to stop. The pleasure was so intense.

She had planned to slow things down. She didn’t want to listen to what Diana had to say, but it was hard not to. Diana knew men like Hawk, although she had been told Hawk had never gone near Diana. Her own friend had admitted that long before they had this falling out. Several months ago, Diana had complained that no matter what she did, she couldn’t seem to attract the attention of the club president. Hawk was the club president.

Diana’s spiteful words could be exactly that—jealousy—because Nikki had Hawk and didn’t even try to get him. They seemed to fall in together. She didn’t know how it worked between them, but it did. Only, she couldn’t help that sensation of doubt. It was ever so slight, but it was enough.

She found herself thinking about Hawk and what she thought was romantic in their secret relationship. She was starting to wonder why she was never allowed at the club, never given the chance to meet any of his friends. When the club women came to the salon, Darlene took care of them, and Hawk told her not to pay too much attention to them.

So far, she had done everything he asked. And now she wondered why.

She was nothing like the women of the club. Even as she tried to question Darlene, the other woman wasn’t forthcoming. She always said that club business was exactly that. She didn’t talk about the club, Hawk, or anything else.

Nikki hadn’t even tried to talk to the women. She didn’t know what she would say to them. There had been a couple at the salon today, getting their nails redone as the men were coming back, and they wanted to look their best.

She tried not to listen to them, but they were sharing stories about some of the men. From time to time, she heard Hawk’s name mentioned but that seemed to make all the women go silent. No one had anything to say about him.

She was not like those women. She didn’t have the money to keep up-to-date with how she looked, her hair hadn’t seen a cut in well over a year, which was why it was so long. A few times, she had attempted to cut it herself, and that had been disastrous. Now, she was just too embarrassed to get it cut.

Darlene did some haircuts and treatments, but they were costly, and right now she just wanted to study. Most of the time her hair was pinned back. Also, she didn’t want her boss to see the disaster she made of her hair. There were times she was sure Darlene liked her, and other times, she was sure the other woman hated her. She didn’t know if she was getting paranoid about it.

Pushing those doubts to the back of her mind, she instead focused on Hawk. He was here now, and Diana was just being herself. Diana wanted Hawk. Actually, she wanted anyone, but Nikki knew her friend had set her sights on Hawk. To be Hawk’s old lady would be a prize.

He pulled on her shirt, and she didn’t fight him as he tore it off her body. Within seconds, he had her bra open and she wriggled out of her pants. He let out a little growl. “You’re fucking stunning.”

She reached out, pushing his leather cut off his shoulder, but like so many other times before, he took over, sliding it down his arms and placing it on the floor. He didn’t give her time to remove any more of this clothing, as he grabbed her hand and moved her toward the bed.

Nikki didn’t fight him, falling to the bed with a little chuckle as he went down with her. He kissed her lips, just once, and then started to kiss down her body.

She was completely naked, while he was still fully dressed. There was no time to fight him as he pressed her breasts together, taking each nipple into his mouth. At first, he sucked gently, teasing her, and slowly he got a little harder, making her gasp and arch up against him. There was a slight burn of pain, but it was mingled with pleasure. She didn’t know if she wanted him to stop or keep going. The pleasure was intense. She cried out his name.

Suddenly, he stopped, but he started to kiss down her body, and within a matter of seconds he had her legs spread, and his tongue danced across her clit. She gripped the sheets beneath her as he rested her thighs over his shoulders and then squeezed her ass.

He licked and sucked at her clit, but slid down, going toward her entrance. His name spilled from her lips, and she lost count of how many times she said his name on a moan. He dipped his tongue inside her pussy. At first, he began to thrust inside her, just a little, and then she felt more of his tongue as he continued to fuck her with it. His grip tightened on her ass as he pressed her pussy against his face.

Nikki lost all sense of reason. She wanted him.

He stopped fucking her, drew his tongue back up, and started to flick at her clit again, stroking back and forth, building up her orgasm. She was so close to release, but he brought her straight back down, his touch going light.

“I need to hear you beg, Baby,” he said.

She tried to grit her teeth, to enjoy the moment, but it had been too long since she had orgasmed at his mouth. Before Hawk, she had taken care of her own needs, but he did something to her body. He drove her crazy in ways she didn’t even think was possible. He knew her body better than she knew it.

“Please, Hawk, please let me come.”

She knew she was weak, but she couldn’t help it. He was the master of her body, and she was his willing servant. It was fucked up, but it worked for them.

Hawk didn’t tease her anymore. He pushed her right over the edge, and she came hard, screaming his name. He rode that wave with her, only coming down when she couldn’t take any more. Her heart raced and her body was so sensitive.

She watched as Hawk got to his feet. He pulled his shirt off in one fell swoop, and it joined her clothes on the floor. His chest was heavily inked, including an insignia of the club, which appeared to be a horned devil, but one side of his face was that of a skull, and the other, that of a beast. The same logo was on his leather cut, and it was smaller, inked right over his heart. He had other pieces of ink. On his back, there appeared to be a graveyard, and she saw some tombstones with names etched on them. She hadn’t asked about his ink. They didn’t do a lot of talking about his club, and she had a feeling the ink was linked to his position in the Devil’s Beasts MC.

Hawk reached down and began to unbutton his jeans.

“Come here,” he said.

She slid off the bed and walked toward him. He never allowed her to cover her body, and even though the temptation was there, she stopped herself from doing so. She stood before him, completely naked, and waited.

He let out a groan and then pulled her in close to kiss her.

“On your knees,” he said.

Even though she had already come just seconds ago, hearing his instructions was driving her wild. She sunk down to her knees before him.

He eased the zipper of his jeans down, the button was already released, and he pushed the jeans, along with his briefs, right off his body. She watched as he stepped out of them.

The long thickness of his cock was already on display. He wrapped his fingers around his length, at the base. Slowly, he started to work those fingers up to the tip, and then slide them right back down again. He let out a little groan, and she couldn’t look away, nor did she want to.

“It’s time you learned how to suck my cock, isn’t it?”

She nodded. Words failed her.

He stepped close to her, stopped moving his hand up and down his shaft, and placed the tip at her lips.

“Taste me,” he said.

She slid her tongue out and glided it over the tip of his cock. At the same time, she kept staring up at him. She reached out and put her hands on his thighs as she tasted his pre-cum already coated at the tip. Each time she swiped back and forth, it was salty and sweet.

“Now, suck me into your mouth, but don’t use your teeth. Don’t bite down.”

She was nervous. Nikki didn’t want to get this wrong. She loved it when his mouth was on her pussy. There was nothing better than to feel his tongue dancing across her clit. She began to take him into her mouth, inch by inch, keeping her teeth out of the way, as she wanted this to be good for him.

He let out a hiss, and she quickly stopped, but she didn’t pull away. She looked up, and he didn’t seem to be in pain. Suddenly, she felt his hand stroke through her hair, and then he tightened his grip within the length. Her nipples hardened and it wasn’t because of the temperature in the room.

Taking more of his cock, she sucked him deep until he hit the back of her throat.

“Yeah, Baby, that’s it, fuck, that feels good. You can gag on it just a little.”

To which she did, and then began to pull back. She sank back down on his length, and with Hawk’s grip on her hair as guidance, he started to show her exactly what he liked and what he wanted. She was more than happy to succumb to his teaching.

He was constantly licking her pussy, and she wanted to give him the same kind of pleasure he’d given her. She gripped his thighs and loved the moaning sounds he made as she worked her mouth over his dick. He’d growl her name, hiss, curse, and then she heard it.

“I’m going to come, and if you don’t want to drink every single drop, you’re going to have to stop.”

Hawk didn’t stop when she came on his mouth. She was not going to stop now.

His cock twitched inside her mouth, and she tasted the flood of his arousal as he coated her tongue. She swallowed him down, a little panicked at first, but soon he shuddered beneath her touch, and she knew she’d taken every last drop.

Hawk stopped at Diana’s house. He meant to stop by yesterday, but by the time they got back to the clubhouse, it was close to the salon’s closing time, and he needed to see Nikki. He chose not to think about the reasons he needed to see her. He kept telling himself it was to fuck, it was all about getting his dick wet, but he knew that wasn’t the truth.

“I gave the money back,”

Diana said, scrambling back and running toward her sitting room.

“Yeah, and you had to go and run your mouth,”

Hawk said, entering her home. The place looked like it had been cleaned since he was last here. There were no clothes lying around. The stench of decay and mold was gone. There was even a detection of a pine fresh scent, or lemon, if he wasn’t mistaken.

“Look, I’m sorry,”

Diana said.

He grabbed a mirror and slammed it against the wall, allowing it to smash. Diana let out a scream. He’d just tipped over her coffee table. When he was first here, he didn’t even know she owned a coffee table, but now it was smashed.

She turned on the water works.

“I won’t go and see her. I promise. Please, just stop. I’m trying to get my life together. She deserves to know the truth, that you’re just using her. Stop it!”

she screamed.

Then he heard Melanie arrive, and she was not alone. A couple of the club women had turned up. He’d told them what he needed done.

“No, no, Hawk, please. Nikki is not like me. She is not like anyone. She doesn’t know this is just a game to you, that you’re having fun, and when you’re done, you’ll pass her around. It will kill her.”

Hawk smirked. “Do you think you can play the loving friend right now? I know you’re jealous of her, Diana. I know you intend to hurt her. I got the letter.”

“Letter?”

Diana asked.

“Don’t play dumb. There are only a couple of people who know I’m seeing Nikki. One of them is you. The others don’t give a shit who I see.”

“I don’t care who you see. Nikki is not like us.”

“Well, you’re not going to be any more trouble anyway.”

Melanie stepped into the room, along with a couple of other women. This was not Hawk’s place to criticize.

“Now, what is it going to be, Diana?”

Hawk asked.

“I’ll leave her alone,”

Diana said.

“Not good enough.”

He nodded toward Melanie who took the first swing.

Diana’s scream rang out. Another slap, and Diana was sobbing.

“Fine. Fine. I’ll leave. I swear.”

Melanie grabbed her hair, tugging at it. Hawk stepped closer as Melanie dragged her across the room, not caring about the broken glass as she did so.

“You’ll do what?”

“I’ll leave. I’ll get out of town, and Nikki will never see or hear from me again.”

Hawk smiled. “Good. That is all you had to do.”

He stood up. “Ladies, thank you for helping me deal with this trash. Leave.”

He waited for each woman to step out of the house.

Then, he grabbed Diana around the neck. “I want you to understand that if I see you or hear that you’re back in town, I won’t be bringing the women to give you a warning. I will fucking kill you myself, and I’ve got no problem hurting a woman, especially one who hurts what is mine.”

With that, he threw her away from him.

He stepped out of Diana’s house, into the warm summer air. It was nice and warm now, but it wouldn’t be long before the cold nights started to fight back. It was already getting colder. He felt the change in the air. Hawk fucking hated winter. It was always a hard time for business, especially the runs the club had to do. The men always got even grumpier, as they hated camping out in the cold.

Pulling out his cell phone, he sent Nikki a text to meet him at her car for lunch. She never parked near the salon, and he’d learned to park his bike and wait for her.

This morning, he’d fucked her until she had screamed his name. He had five days to make up for, and he intended to fuck Nikki right out of his system.

Diana was wrong. When he had his fill of Nikki, he wasn’t going to pass her around the club. She was not part of the club and never would be. He knew how different she was. It was why she was so refreshing. He didn’t have to worry when his back was turned. Other women at the club loved having the men’s attention. Nikki was different. He’d known that about her when she stumbled into his library.

Melanie was still standing outside as he moved toward his bike.

“I thought you wanted us to hurt her a little more,”

Melanie said.

“No, I wanted you to scare her and you did your job.”

He nodded at her.

“Well, I’m heading back to the clubhouse. I don’t suppose I’ll see you there?”

Melanie asked.

“I’ve got some business to take care of.”

With that, he climbed onto his bike, turned over the ignition, and brought an end to their conversation.

Melanie had done her job, and if she was looking for praise or hoping for something more, there were plenty of guys back at the clubhouse she could enjoy.

He took off, heading toward the beauty salon, but the moment he entered the town, he took a detour, parking his bike behind an old power shed. From there, he walked to where Nikki parked her car in the corner of the parking lot. Most times it was abandoned, far from a few cars. In the winter, he wasn’t going to allow her to park so far away from the salon. It would be too dangerous, and seeing as he hadn’t staked a claim on her, she was at risk and he didn’t want her hurt.

He didn’t have to wait long to see Nikki walking across the parking lot. She had a wrapped brown package and a big smile on her lips, which he knew was for him alone. She sped up, and the moment she was close, she tried to throw her arms around him. This time, he let her, but he couldn’t be too careful, and he spun her around, looking at the parking lot.

He was convinced Diana was the one to leave that letter. She lost everything for how she treated Diana. She was the only enemy he could think of that Nikki had made. Not that she was even aware of an enemy. Darlene had told Dan about the letter.

“Get in the car,” he said.

She rolled her eyes. “You know, you could start giving me a complex with how much you don’t want to be seen with me.”

“It’s not about that, and you know it.”

She sighed.

He climbed into the passenger seat at the back, just as Nikki did.

“I picked up a sandwich for you. Turkey and mayo,”

she said. “Buttered bread as well.”

He took the sandwich from her, taking a bite out of it. He didn’t like any fancy sandwiches, and in his forty years, he’d tasted a lot. Rye, whole wheat, granary, bagels, and shit. Why couldn’t people just leave a fucking sandwich alone, and he didn’t even want to get started on low fat shit. If people were going to start eating less salt, low fat, and all that bullshit, what was the point in eating? His mother would usually tell him that if they take something out, they have to put something back in. Wow, he hadn’t thought about his mom in quite some time.

“What’s the matter?”

Nikki asked.

He was like his mother and liked things just plain and ordinary, while Nikki was like his dad, always experimenting. She never had the same kind of sandwich and today it looked like a chicken bagel. She told him she got bored of the same food, although he knew her income meant she couldn’t be too picky.

He always offered to pay for lunch, but she wouldn’t allow it. Along with the sandwich, she also had a couple of mugs of coffee. Again, his was black, with two sugars, and Nikki had whatever she wanted. Today, she told him it was a mocha latte. Coffee and chocolate was not a combination he liked. He preferred plain old coffee.

“How’s work?” he asked.

“Fine. I think Darlene’s not happy with my progress.”

“Why?”

“I just keep getting it wrong today. I mean, I’m doing everything like I did yesterday, but she is not happy with how I’m sterilizing the tools, cleaning the floors, or packing away the equipment.”

She sighed and shrugged. “I don’t know. I guess she is just getting me ready for everything that’s about to come.”

“You start night school next week?”

“Yeah, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.”

“Are you looking forward to it?” he asked.

She nodded. “Yeah, I think it’s going to be good, you know? It’ll be nice to finally fill in the blanks, and that is what I’m hoping to do.”

She offered him a smile, then took a bite of her sandwich.

He ate his own, and he didn’t like this feeling that swept over him.

“Are you okay?”

Nikki asked.

“Yeah, I’m good. Everything is okay.”

He wanted to tell her not to talk to Diana, to ignore whatever that evil bitch said, but instead he kept his thoughts to himself.

They ate lunch, and it was strange as Nikki didn’t even talk that much. He was used to women constantly filling the silence, but she didn’t seem in a rush to do so. This he did find refreshing.

However, he didn’t like how Darlene was treating her, so once Nikki had left for the day, he’d already sent her a text, telling her to meet him at the motel room. She had her car, so he didn’t have to worry about it getting too cold. He sat and waited, then he entered the salon.

“We’re closed,”

Darlene said, looking up from the main counter. She was usually in her office, but today, for some odd reason, she had decided to stay at the front without locking the main doors.

“Why?” he asked.

Darlene went bright red. “Dan said he was going to be here soon. He wanted a haircut, and then, we’re … you know.”

“I don’t give a fuck about the door, or the fact you’re waiting for some club cock. I want to know why you’re all over the place with Nikki. Why is her work good one day and not the next?”

He’d promised himself he wouldn’t interfere, but seeing the sadness in Nikki’s eyes, he couldn’t just sit back and watch that happen. It pissed him off to think of Darlene treating her like shit.

Darlene sighed. “It’s nothing personal, okay? Nikki is a great worker, and in all honesty, this is the first time I’ve been able to actually train someone.”

“If she’s so great, why are you giving her a hard time?”

Darlene put down her pen, and then stood up. “Because she is going to have awkward clients, and some of those clients are going to love the makeup or the style, or anything she did the time before, but the next time they’re going to hate it. Some people will try to get a freebie. Nikki’s great, but there is something missing when it comes to her confidence, especially in here. She knows what she is doing, and you’ve seen how she has made herself up, she is great at it, but something is holding her back. I’m not doing this because I want to do it, Hawk. I’m doing it for her own good. Trust me, given the time, she could be a real asset to this place.”

Now he wished he hadn’t intervened, but at the same time, he now knew why Darlene was doing it, and although he didn’t quite agree with her methods, he could see that they did in fact work.

“Good,” he said.

“If you’re wanting her to get a free ride, you’ve got to tell me. If she is just a passing fancy and you don’t want her to have a spot at the end of this, tell me. I can treat her differently, but she won’t be what we need here.”

“Keep doing what you’re doing,”

Hawk said.

“Have you thought about why you’re looking out for her?”

Darlene asked, stopping him in his tracks toward the door.

He had his hand on the doorknob, and he turned to look at her. “What?”

“Come on, Hawk. You won’t allow her near any party. I know she tries to steer clear of the club women, and I know that is because of you. I’ve heard the warning about one of her friends, but I was busy here to come and help. That letter that was left on her windshield. If you stake a claim on her, she’ll be protected by the club.”

“Nikki and I, it’s just fun. She doesn’t need the club, because it’s not going to change anything, and if you want to keep entertaining Dan and not get replaced, I suggest you keep your fucking opinion to yourself.”

And with that, he left.
