27. Back to Us
Back to Us
Iwoke up at home alone again when all I wanted was to talk to Love.
I tried to send him a message, hoping that even a short time apart would bring us back together, but he hasn’t budged.
I was up fixing Amir’s breakfast before school when I decided to text Keith and ask him if he had talked to Love. He texted me back quick and told me that Love was at the store.
While Amir was eating, I went upstairs and looked through my closet, trying to find the right outfit to wear. I had my outfit almost put together when Amir came and got me to take him to school.
On the ride, he talked about his dad, asking me what was going on. All I could tell him was that his dad would be home soon, and I left it at that.
I watched Amir walk into school looking down, and that shirt hurt me as if he was my own son. I pulled off, hoping my girls could talk before they got to work.
“Amir is so mad Love is not home,” I said as they picked up.
“Has he talked to Love?” Kenya asked as she moved around her house.
“Yeah, he said he would be home in a day or two. It’s been a day.”
“So what are you going to do?” Deja asked as she walked outta her house.
I paid attention to the road for a second, then sat back, looking at them, looking at me.
“I am going to pull up on him. Keith told me he was at the store.”
“And you better walk in there like a bad pregnant bitch!” Renee yelled out. “I am not playin’.”
We all laughed, but I agreed.
“I got an outfit pulled out, I just need to go home and put it together.”
“Well, get home, do that, and send us a picture.”
I nodded, and we hung up.
The rest of the drive, I thought about what I was going to say to Love. I was about to pour my heart out to him and tell him everything I was feeling, and I hoped that he still loved me once I was done.
I got home, went back to the room, looked at the outfit I put together, and stared at it for a few seconds, making sure it was what I wanted. In the shower, my mind was focused on Love and only Love. I wanted a future with him. I couldn’t let him think that wasn’t in the cards for us.
After my shower, I oiled my body, and my hands started to shake. I was getting nervous; never have I ever opened up to a nigga like I was about to do.
I slid into my dress, did my hair and makeup, then put on my heels. As I stood in front of my mirror looking at myself, I sent a picture to my girls, and they signed off on my fit, telling me to leave and go get my man.
I walked out of the house with a smile on my face, stopped and grabbed myself a green juice and some lunch for us, then took my ass to the store.
When I got there, I parked behind Love’s car and stared at it for a few seconds, taking a couple of deep breaths.
“Get it together, Islah,” I mumbled to myself.
I pulled my lip gloss out of my bag and put a lil’ on before getting out of the car. I took my time walking to the door, even though it was a short walk. I needed to get my nerves together. I pulled the door open, and everybody in the store looked at me.
Keith gave me a nod, and I walked up to Love’s office door. I took a deep breath and knocked softly.
“Yo,” he yelled out.
I took another deep breath and walked in to see him putting his phone down and staring at me.
“Hey,” he said.
“Hey,” I responded. “I brought some lunch.”
I handed him the bag, and he took it, pulling out his food, then handed it back to me.
“Are you going to take a seat?” he asked.
I nodded, putting the food down on the couch.
“Yes, but before I do,” I said. “Love, I love you. I am so sorry for letting what that nigga said or did come between us because I never wanted that to happen.”
Love nodded. “I, umm…. I can’t believe I am sayin’ this, but you know you hurt me, right? You know I would never in this world or the next hurt you.”
I nodded. “I know I did, and I didn’t mean to. Love, I have never loved a nigga like I do you, or had a love like the one you give me. I don’t know if it’s because I started to feel like I didn’t deserve the love you give because of what happened to Gio—”
“That’s how he wanted you to think, you know that, right?”
“Yeah,” I responded. “That nigga went to hell getting what he wanted.”
Love shook his head with a slight laugh, making me smile.
Silence filled the room around us for a few seconds, then Love stood up and walked over to me. I looked up at him as he looked down at me. His arms wrapped around my waist softly. It felt so good to be in his arms again.
“I love you,” he said softly.
“I love you more than anything,” I responded.
Love cuffed my chin with his finger, making me stand on my tippy toes as he kissed me.
“I’ma ask you this one last time,” he said with a smile. “If you don’t respond, I might have to fight you.”
I pulled back from him, laughing. “Ask me! I’m ready.”
He laughed. “Oh, you ready, huh? We finna see… Will you marry me, Islah?”
I nodded. “Of course I’ma marry you!”
“That’s what the fuck I like to hear!” Love yelled out.
Love sat down in his chair and took a sip from his cup.
“You don’t know how you had a nigga stressing.”
I shook my head. I felt bad that he was stressed. I went and sat on his lap
“I didn’t want to stress you out—”
“I want you to talk to me,” he said, cutting me off. “Good or bad, I don’t give a fuck what it is. I know that nigga tried to fuck you up mentally, and if you had let me, I would have been there for you any way you needed me to. Let’s make a deal right now to never shut down on each other.”
“Deal, I never want to get to that place again, but my girls helped me release him.”
He nodded. “Good, and I’ma make sure you don’t get to that place again.”
I leaned over and kissed him. No matter what, that nigga had my back, and that shit was so damn sexy.
Love kissed me, and I could feel his dick poking through his sweatpants. I wrapped my arms tighter around his neck, turning around in his chair with my legs on either side of him. He stood up, and I wrapped my legs around his waist.
Without any other words, Love laid me on his couch, lifted my dress, pulled my panties to the side, pulled his dick out, and slid deep in me, making my back arch instantly and me moan out.
“Damn, mamas, calm down. It’s customers out there.”
We both laughed, and Love gave me every inch of his dick, watching to see if I could be quiet with each stroke.
“You feel so fuckin’ good, mamas,” Love said softly.
I cuffed the back of his head, bringing him closer to me for a kiss.
“Fuck, Daddy,” I said softly.
“You all mine?” he asked. I nodded, caught between moaning and yelling out his name.
Love then picked me up and placed me on his desk. He pulled me close to him, and my eyes rolled back. His curved dick hit my spot and was throbbing.
He smiled at me. “You feel all that?”
I nodded.
“You my good girl?”
I nodded again.
“I want you to come all over my dick like the good girl you are.”
Love fucked me deep and hard, not letting up when I softly yelled out his name. He just smiled at me with each and every stroke.
“You my wife?”
I smiled, biting my bottom lip. “Yes, Daddy, I’m your wife.”
Love’s hand gripped my neck, making me look at him.
“Cum on this dick while I cum in that pussy.”
Love fucked me harder, making me hold on to him tighter until we both came together.
Once we were done, we moved back over to the couch and started to eat the food that I brought, which was cold as hell by the time we got to it.
“Would you have let me go if I said I wanted to?” I asked.
Love nodded quick. “Hell yeah, I would have let you leave.”
I raised my eyebrow, staring at him.
“And then I would have spent all the free time I had showing you that I was what you needed, and I was prepared to do that.”
“You are truly one of a kind.”
He nodded. “Oh, I know, mamas. You are too. That’s why I wouldn’t give up on you.”
I shook my head. I could feel myself blushing.
“Now we need to plan a new wedding.”
Love stopped eating and looked at me as if he had thought of something.
“You trust me?”
“Of course I do,” I responded.
He nodded. “Let me take care of the wedding.”
“What do you want me to do?”
He thought about it for a second.
“All I need you to do is show up. I have the rest.”
“Okay,” I said softly. “I will see you there.”
Love and I spent the rest of the day in his office with the door shut, talking and laughing. I naturally expressed the things I had been feeling since I had been home, and he assured me that he had me and our family every step of the way.
Somehow, we got on the topic of a change of scenery and having an extra home when he looked like he got another idea.
“Nigga! What are you over there thinking about?” I asked.
He laughed and took a sip of his drink. “Our future, just planning our next steps.”
