Chapter 21

Y oga on Fifteenth and Pine was hopping as usual.

The class she had taken for about a year now was always full with drop-ins, and today was no different.

Slipping into the studio, she set her stuff down and put her sneakers away, grabbing her mat and her water, and made her way to the left side of the class, away from the windows.

“Hey, Petra, nice to see you back.”

“Ah...yeah. Last week was crazy with work and I had my annual Samhain trip,” she offered to Keezie, the instructor.

“Did you have a good time?”

“I always do,” she replied with a smile.

“Trips feed the soul,” Keezie said with a grin. “We should get some wheat grass juice and talk sometime.”

“Sure, that seems fun,” Petra said. In the time she had been taking the class, not once had Keezie asked her to hangout. “We can talk later.”

Keezie smiled and walked back to the front of the class and Petra sat on her mat, smiling as Jack laid his down next to her.

“You aren’t honestly going to go out with her, are you?” he asked with a grin.

“No, probably not. Still not sure why she asked me.”

“Because she’s gone through at least seventy percent of the girls here,” he said softly to her. “Finally worked her way down to the Ps...”

That gave Petra pause. “Now I know you’re talking shit. Keezie has a boyfriend.”

“Which is why she’s not hitting on me.” He grinned. “Not that I would, her boney ass does nothing for me. I much prefer bitable and bounceable asses.” He winked.

“Corman up there is for you then,” she offered to him and nodded to the dude up front.

“You know your ass is the only one I wanna bite. Still pissed D got the honor first, though he is our leader so...”

She laughed. “So now that I know you and I get to be yoga friends?”

“Yep. And I can keep your virtue all ours and away from Skeezie Keezie.”

“Like it was in danger of being anyone else’s...” she murmured and they both settled down as Keezie started the class.

Seven positions and they were in downward dog, Jack looking over to her as Keezie walked the room talking.

“Your mindful practice needs to be centered,” she said. “Your form perfect to reach your intentions.” She walked behind Petra and placed her hands on the small of her back, pushing her down, correcting her. “Ooh, Petra, there’s some tension there...” she said as she walked away.

Jack smirked. “Tension she wants to release...” They stood and did another three positions, then were sitting cross-legged. “What are you doing after this? Wanna get a beer?”

“After yoga?” she said, eyes closed as they did their breathing exercises.

“Unless you wanna take her up on the wheat grass and cunnilingus.”

Petra snorted back a laugh. “I don’t think that’s the situation. Maybe she just wants a friend.”

“Maybe she wants to shove her fist up that perfect pussy,” he countered. “Which I will not let happen. You wanna get fisted, you come to me, or Neon...”

Turning her head, she arched a brow. “You guys wanna fist me?”

“What? No...well, maybe Neon does... I’m just saying we can handle all your needs.” He winked. “Full service.”

“And then some,” she offered as they were instructed into the last section of their session.

Quietly she lay there, focusing on her breath, and the man lying right next to her.

If she didn’t know for a fact that Jack was a fucking psychotic lunatic, she would never guess.

He was beautiful and friendly and didn’t put off any of the red flags some of the others might in public.

“Namaste,” they heard Keezie say and the studio started to move, the session ended. Sitting up, she smiled at Jack who was watching her move with his own grin.

“I tell you, now getting caught watching you isn’t a bad thing.”

“It wouldn’t have been before,” she said as she rolled her shoulders.

“But before I was an unknown and didn’t even talk to you,” he said as he helped her to stand. “And you were infatuated with seven men.”

“Still am,” she offered as Keezie walked up.

“I wasn’t aware you and Jack were friends,” she said by way of greeting.

“Oh...yeah, we weren’t really ‘til recently,” she offered.

“Her boyfriend is my best friend,” Jack said with an easygoing smile.

“Boyfriend? Ooh, you have been holding out on us...” Keezie said, clearly not as excited about the guy as she sounded.

“Well, we aren’t really friends. Why would you know?” Petra asked.

“We could be, though,” she said. “You always seem so involved I didn’t want to bother you but...your vibe has always drawn me to you.”

“Uh huh,” Petra said.

“Yep.” The woman was back to being sunny. “Listen, why don’t I call you and we can have that hangout, yeah?”

“Ah...yeah, sure,” Petra said and Keezie smiled again, triumphant.

“Great! I’ll text you later!” She waved and walked off, a bounce in her hip as she did.

Jack wrapped his arm around her shoulders. “You tell me that’s not a woman trying to sound the dinner bell.”

She rolled her eyes. “You’re my boyfriend’s best friend?”

“Well technically, yes.” He whispered, “I mean I’m also your boyfriend...but you belong to my six best friends so...not a lie.”

Boyfriend. Seven boyfriends. She smiled. “Just a stretched truth.”

“Umm...yes. We can call it that.” He let her go and they walked out of the studio. “Though make no mistake, Stitches finds out about her interest in you, he will mail you her heart in a box. He doesn’t share well.” He winked.

“So you are saying I can’t have female lovers?” she asked as they started down Fifteenth.

“Do you want them?” Jack countered.

“No, but I’m trying to figure it all out.”

“I would think seven lunatics with very specific tastes would be enough for that tight little body but...I can tell the guys...”

“Nothing.” She laughed. “I didn’t peg you for the jokester.”

“One of us has to be,” he suggested. “So...where to? That beer?”

“I was going to go home,” she offered. “Have a shower, take a nap, I’m on at the shelter for the overnight tonight...”

“You feel like company?” he asked as they crossed the street.

“Is that allowed?”

“I don’t care if it is. No one is watching us, or you right now.”

“Easton said something about not allowing me to come round to your places...”

“Probably because his place is a mess. Not a shit hole, mind you, but he’s an artist and it bleeds into everything.”

“Something about the Elders...”

“Fuck those guys. But I wasn’t asking to bring you to my apartment on the Parkway. I was asking if you wanted company in that shower and the nap...maybe even tonight.”

“Don’t you have things to do?”

He nodded. “You. If you want to.”

“When would I ever say no to you, Jack?”

“Not yet...probably not ever.” He turned to her. “Come on, sexy. You’re all relaxed from the yoga but I think a couple orgasms are just the thing to send you into that nap right. What do you think?”

“I think if it’s your bendy ass giving me the orgasms I’m counting myself lucky.”

“We haven’t played in the Kama Sutra pool, have we?” he teased. “Oh, the things I wanna show you,” he said and wrapped his arm around her, steering her toward her street.

She couldn’t wait.
