Chapter 9

Me:

Tick tick, Coco.

Snake Bitch:

There’s a meeting tomorrow with the old owners of the building. As soon as he buys them, I’m going to figure out how to get them to you. You took all I had, but I promise I’m doing all I can. Just please be patient with me.

Me:

Bitch, I don’t have any more of that shit left. I’m starting to think you’re trying to play me, and I’on like that.

Snake Bitch:

I promise I’m not, AP. I’m going to figure something out. This is really hard.

Me:

Smmfgdh. Since you unalived that man to get where you are, I’m going to give your desperate ass a break. I’m going to make the nigga an offer. Send me his information once he buys them. After that, you belong to me, Corina. If I say jump, you better ask from which fucking building.

“These niggas better not be ugly, Paige,” Megan said as we sat inside of J. Alexander’s.

I didn’t care how his friends looked. All I knew was I didn’t really want to do this. I’d already met him, and he seemed cool, but I wasn’t in the mood to deal with his friends. However, P wanted me to get to know him better, so I had to play nice.

“My man ain’t ugly, so I’m sure his friends aren’t either.”

“You do know that it’s always one or two ugly friends out of the group, right?” Mayani asked.

“So which one are you?” Paige countered, and we laughed.

Mayani clapped. “Ha-ha, bitches. We all bad in this motherfucka, so don’t play.”

“You know I’m just fucking with you, Yan. But honestly… I’m just glad to finally be hanging out with y’all. It seems as if we haven’t done this in a long time. We’re always working or on a job. And this one never gets any rest. She’s always on the move,” she said, pointing at me.

“I’ll sleep when I die,” I replied.

“Terrible!” Megan giggled.

“Right! That’s Mooney’s house now, and his dogs too.”

“Bitch, no it ain’t,” I told her, offended.

But she was right. I didn’t stay at home a lot because I was either driving people around part-time, doing hits, or at my club. I couldn’t sit down because it gave me too much time to think, and I didn’t like my intrusive thoughts.

I was about to tell her off about my babies when her fiancé entered the restaurant.

I couldn’t front; the nigga was fine and giving major BDE.

I could see his friends flocking behind him, but couldn’t see their faces yet.

When they finally made it to the table, my eyes locked onto my archnemesis.

Instantly, I started to feel a tingle in the pit of my stomach, and my pussy felt like it was clapping excitedly.

The fuck is wrong with you?

The cocky smirk on his face made me want toq slap it off as my face twisted.

“Oh, hell no!” I exclaimed while the asshole smirked at me.

“Well, well, well. If it isn’t Miss Mean Ass,” he countered.

“Wait... You two know each other?” Harvey asked.

“Yes.”

“No,” we both said simultaneously, with me following up to clarify. “I don’t know his ass. All I know is he came into my club, invaded my space, solicited mediocre dick, and ain’t pay the twenty percent tip out.”

“He’s a dancer?” Mayani asked.

“Fuck all that. Y’all fucked?” Megan queried with humor playing on her face.

“Psh! That nigga tickled me. I don’t call that fucking.”

Both of his friends laughed as he stood with that arrogant smirk on his face still.

“I know you’re upset because those few strokes I gave you got you playing with that lil’ pussy at night. If you apologize for being mean to me, I’ll let you have all the dick you desire,” he stated through his thick lips.

“You’re a funny-ass nigga. Those two seconds ain’t worth a second helping of this pussy. I let you hit, and you fumbled. Move around… You won’t be getting an apology from me.”

“Okay, wait. Wait. Everybody, just calm down. Please, have a seat.” Paige gestured for them to sit, trying to tame the conversation.

I could see eyes on us from the other patrons.

This restaurant was upscale and very intimate.

I wasn’t trying to be ghetto, but his ass had me fucked up.

They took a seat, and to further piss me off, he sat next to me, scooting his chair as close as he could get it.

When I attempted to move over, he held on to the arm of my chair so I couldn’t move.

“Calm your little ass down, Juicy. You trying to embarrass us in this restaurant. Don’t make me act the fuck out.”

“Harvey, get your brother before his brains be on your dinner plate,” I warned.

“Aye, shorty… You need to chill with the threats on my bro. He ain’t did shit to you,” one of the friends countered.

I could kind of see a resemblance to the asshole next to me, so I was assuming they had to be blood brothers. However, I didn’t give a fuck about any of them. They didn’t know that I would make good on my promise if tempted.

“Okay, this is going in a totally different direction than I expected. Can we just take a five-minute recess to get our heads right?” Paige asked. “AP. Restroom. Now!” She stood, and I grabbed my clutch and followed her.

Once we made it to the restroom, she checked the stalls to make sure they were empty, then turned to me.

“Before you say anything, that nigga invaded my damn space being fucking reckless at the club the other night,” I told her.

“What happened? Clearly, y’all fucked, and you’re mad about it.”

“We did not fuck... it was more like a… tease . After I left from talking to you and Uncle Lamont, I bumped into the nigga, and he spilled his drink on me. It was an accident, but I was drunk and angry already, so I kind of went off on him.

“Next thing I know, he’s in my office, bending me over, then abruptly stops after a few pumps.

I thought the nigga came, but he was fucking teasing me.

That pissed me off even more, so I shot at him.

Paige, the bastard didn’t even flinch when that bullet missed his head.

The motherfucka smiled and walked out of my office. ”

“So, what you’re saying is, you like him and hate him at the same time?”

“I don’t fucking like him!” I scowled at her.

I liked that he was unafraid and unbothered, but I didn’t know him to like him outside of that. I didn’t fuck with nobody, especially niggas that could give a bitch five strokes and have her ass yearning for more. I would never admit that shit aloud, though.

“You do, Arieana. Admit it…”

“I ain’t admitting shit that isn’t true!”

“Fine. Can you just play nice for me? This meeting is important to me. I want to vet the people he’s associated with, and I need your eyes and ears too. I really love him, Arie. Do this one thing for me, please.”

“Fine, Paige, but I want a full spa day, on you! I need that shit like yesterday.”

“I got you, Paris Amour.” She beamed and took my hand. “And, please, give the man an apology. Do it for me, sissy.”

I snapped my teeth at her, and she laughed.

“You really are a mean ass.”

“Go to hell!”

She laughed as we headed back into the dining room. Upon our approach, the good, five-second dick slayer stood and pulled out my chair for me. I gave a flat smile and sat.

“Everybody good now?” Harvey asked.

Paige nodded. “Yeah, we’re good, babe.”

“Splendid,” I replied. Paige cleared her throat and looked at me. I rolled my eyes and looked at Mister Tease with my famous fake smile. “Sorry…”

He chuckled lightly and grabbed a dinner roll from the basket. “No, you’re not... but you will be.”

I frowned. “Fuck is that supposed to mean?”

“You’ll find out soon enough.”

“Si,” Harvey reprimanded.

“Uh-un, new bro-in-law. This is getting juicy,” Mayani said, looking at us with a smile on her face.

“Hello, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Stormi, and I’ll be your server for the evening. Are you all ready to order?”

I raised my hand as if we were in a school classroom. “I’ll just take a glass of Don Julio, then five minutes after that, bring out another one, then another every ten minutes after that. Just keep them coming until I pass the fuck out.”

“Arie…”

“What, sis? This is a celebration, right?” I asked.

She tossed her hands up. “I guess. Do you, sis.”

“Much obliged, boo.”

“Aye, fuck it! Let me get in on what she got going on. It’s Friday—I ain’t gotta work. I’m ready to see double tonight,” one of the friends said, looking at Megan and Mayani, licking his lips.

“Shit, make it a party. Shots for the table and a bottle of your best champagne,” the other countered.

“No problem,” Stormi replied.

Harvey laughed. “Y’all niggas foolin’.”

While they busied themselves with ordering food, I shot a text to Marcus because I knew I was going to be hot and ready after these drinks.

“So, I’m not sure if you all have been introduced, but these two are Megan and Mayani... our good friends, and this is Arie, my sister,” Paige introduced us to the men.

“I didn’t get a chance to while y’all was in the restroom, but these are my best friends. That’s Michael, Moses, and Messiah. They’re all brothers. I’m the bonus brother.” Harvey smiled, placing his arm over the back of Paige’s chair. She leaned in a little closer as he kissed her temple.

“Now that the introductions are over, we invited everyone here today to let you all in on the details of the wedding. It’s getting closer, so we want to make sure everyone is prepared once the day arises.”

“And who’s paying for this wedding?” I asked.

“I am,” Mr. Five-Second-Dick Rule spoke.

Paige’s eyebrows shot up. “Oh, you are?”

He nodded.

“Well, that’s news to me,” Harvey countered.

He shrugged. “Just decided.”

“Well, in that case... ” I cleared my throat and sat up in my chair. “My sister would like a glam squad. I heard Andre Leon Talley stays booked, so we need to get on that ASAP. A celeb singer, preferably Kema P , her husband, Knowledge , or both of them will suffice.

“A horse and carriage—the white horses, not those brown shits—to take them to a private jet after the wedding to their honeymoon—you will be funding that also—to a private island, preferably Bali or Belize, and a Genesis GV80 coupe as a wedding gift,” I rattled off.
