Chapter 48

YOU’RE THE ONE I WANT

Lexi

A jackhammer pounded at my temples, the rat-a-tat-tat vibrating across my entire skull and dragging me from the sweet release of oblivion. Son of a bitch, that hurts. I forced my heavy lids open, and nothing but murky black surrounded me.

Shit. The car accident. Cordi!

“Cordelia?” I croaked.

Blinking quickly, I tried to push past the haze threatening to pull me under once more. Where the hell was I? Darkness pervaded every corner, the black so thick I could barely make out the tip of my nose.

I tried to sit up, but a sharp pang lanced across my side, stilling my movements. Gritting out a curse, I attempted to rise more slowly this time, but metal bit into my wrists and ankles, forcing me in place.

No. No. No. That all-too familiar panic reared up, and my lungs began to seize.

“Cordi!” I cried out.

The squeal of rusted hinges sent my head whirling to the right. “Hello? Who’s there?”

“It’s about time you woke up, Alexis.” That voice sent ice surging through my veins, paralyzing my frantic heartbeats. “My bad, maybe I shouldn’t have rammed Cordelia’s car at such a high speed. I never meant for you to be out this long. I hope you don’t have a concussion.”

I struggled against the restraints, but the unyielding metal only sliced deeper into my skin. “What did you do to her, Sebastian?”

The heavy footfalls loomed closer, and every nerve in my body sprang to high alert. With my sight compromised, all my other senses grew painfully acute.

“Don’t worry about Cordelia, she’ll be just fine; you’re the one I want.”

Strong fingers wrapped around my neck, and I let out a sharp gasp.

Shit, this was not happening.

Sebastian’s thumb dug into my throat, impeding the airway.

“You’re the one that has made my life a living hell since you showed up at my university.

Why the fuck did you come here? You ruined everything the moment you stepped foot on campus.

” His hot breath wafted over my face and icy tendrils crawled up my spine.

“Killian changed as soon as he saw you. My brother was gone the second he set his sights on your tight little cunt. And now, I’m wondering how good of a fuck are you?

Because Kill hasn’t been right in the head since the night you showed up at our doorstep. ”

“Fuck you!” I hissed.

“Oh, I will be fucking you. I promise you that. But first...” His fingers tightened around my throat, and pure black invaded the corners of my vision. “First, I’m going to have some fun with you while we wait for Killian to get here.”

“K-Killian?” I choked out.

“Yes, you know, the newly minted knight in shining armor. He couldn’t get off the phone fast enough when I told him I had you.

You really have that asshole by the balls.

He should be here within the next half hour with the video.

It was a no brainer, really, you for that damning piece of evidence against my father. ”

“No...” If we lost that, we’d have nothing to prove what Stanford did to me all those years ago.

As much as I hated the idea of that video going public, Stan going unpunished was a hundred times worse.

“I’m surprised my father was stupid enough to keep all those videos over the years. He’s gotten cocky, shielded by the power of the—well, you know, I’m sure.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I hissed.

“No? Kill hasn’t spilled all our dirty little secrets?”

“No.”

“He hasn’t told you about the innocent blood spilled or the countless sins covered up since he joined the fraternity?

We are the Lords of Stonewall University, and it’s about time you understood that.

” He clucked his teeth. “Your boy Killian is a pretty fucked-up guy. He’s done it all, no questions asked.

Everyone thinks I’m the bad one, but he’s right, he’s much worse. ”

“You don’t know anything about him,” I rasped out.

Sebastian scoffed, but somehow, his hold loosened an inch.

A click-click sounded, and warm light spilled across the devil’s face.

He held a lighter up between us, the flickering flame highlighting that sinister smile.

I dragged in a breath of much-needed air as he moved to light a torch beside the table I was sprawled across.

The faint light illuminated the chamber just enough to reveal the rough-hewn stone walls.

Where the hell was I, some underground catacomb?

“Enough talking. We don’t have much time.” Icy fingers materialized at the waistband of my jeans.

I struggled and squirmed, doing everything in my power to wriggle free of his nauseating touch. His fingers clamped around the button of my jeans. “No! Don’t!”

“Relax, Alexis. It’ll only be more unpleasant for you if you fight.”

“Don’t fucking touch me!” Screams tore out of my throat, despite his constricting grasp.

I felt him move an instant before his heavy weight descended over me.

Please, no.

His thighs clenched around mine, locking me in place. I screamed again and again. How far underground were we? There had to be someone who’d hear me.

“Killian!” I cried.

A sinister chuckle echoed over me. “Sorry, sweetheart, no one can hear you down here. By all means, scream all you want though. I like it when they put up a good fight.” Something hard pressed between my legs, and bile oozed up my throat.

The scent of scotch and cigars infiltrated my nostrils. Leather. Icy air conditioning. Darkness edged into the corners. No, I wouldn’t let him win. Not this time.

Shoving the grisly thoughts of the past to the furthest recesses of my mind, I growled, “Killian’s going to rip your dick off when he gets here.”

“You’re probably right. The guy is genuinely obsessed with you.

Who knows? Maybe he is still in love with you after all these years.

Though I truly doubt that man is capable of love.

” He reached into his pocket, and the glimmer of a blade flashed through the dark room.

“Which is exactly why I brought this. If my little bro puts up a fight, you’ll both be leaving in body bags. ”

“I’ll claw your eyes out before I let you hurt him,” I hissed.

A burst of wild laughter echoed across the space. “That’s cute, Alexis.” Sebastian crawled down my body and dragged my sweatpants and panties down to my ankles.

“No! NO!” I shrieked, squeezing my thighs together and fighting like all hell to buck him off.

The whine of a zipper sent panic through my bloodstream.

Oh, God, please no.

He yanked out his cock, and I froze. This wasn’t happening. No. I refused to let this happen again. I shoved back the fear and did the only thing I could think of.

A manic giggle burst from my lips.

Sebastian froze, his light brows slamming together as he regarded me, a deep crimson bleeding across his cheeks.

“Oh, my gawd, you’re so small!” I laughed again, forced fits of the giggles cramping my stomach. “You know, I’d heard rumors, but I didn’t think they were true. I mean, you’re a big guy and—”

A sharp sting lanced across my cheek, and I barely bit back another scream.

“Shut your mouth, you whore.”

I only laughed harder, this time true hysteria setting in, the wild cackles echoing through the huge empty chamber. “It’s tiny. Like so small! It’s like a little baby’s. I don’t think I’d even feel you after Killian’s impressive cock.”

Another slap ricocheted through the air, the sound reaching my ears before the shock of the pain registered.

“Fuck you,” I spat. “You’ll never have me now.” I glanced at his flaccid dick, and a smile stretched across my face. “Your limp cock doesn’t stand a chance. Literally.”

“You’re going to pay for this, you little bitch.” He reached into his shirt pocket, grabbed a handkerchief, and stuffed it into my mouth. “Let’s keep that dirty mouth shut.”

I choked and gasped, sucking in as much air as I could manage before it was too late.

Then he yanked a key from his pants’ pocket and leaned over me, unlocking the restraints around my wrists. “Let’s see how you like it when you’re face down, and I fuck you like a dog.”

My arms fell free, and a hint of hope dribbled through the hysteria.

This was my chance.

As he held both of my hands with one of his, he unfastened the cuffs around my ankles. The moment both legs were free, I jerked my knee up and jabbed it between his legs. I managed a direct hit to the balls, and he rolled off me with a satisfying squeal.

“I’m going to fucking murder you, you little cunt!”

Not if you can’t catch me.

I jumped off the table, my bare ass in the air, spat out his handkerchief and searched blindly around the murky space for a door. When Sebastian had come in, I’d heard the sound to the right.

Now where the hell was the right? I stumbled through the darkness in a panic.

“There’s nowhere to go, Alexis.” Sebastian’s voice boomed right behind me.

Pumping my arms, despite the ache in my side, I sprinted around the dark room, scanning the walls for an exit.

Dammit.

Where the hell was that door?

Heavy footfalls, then steel bands clamped around my waist and lifted me off the floor. “Got you.” Hot breath brushed over the shell of my ear, and goosebumps exploded down my arms. “And now, I’m going to make you pay.”

I kicked and struggled as he dragged me back to the table. “Let go of me! Someone help!”

He dropped me onto the table face down and pressed his body to my back. He was hard again, his bare cock digging between my ass cheeks. “I told you I liked it when girls put up a fight.”

“You’re a sick fuck,” I gnashed out through gritted teeth.

“And you better be the best fuck I’ve ever had after all the shit you’ve put me through.” He spread my legs and moved between my thighs. That icy fear raked over my insides, shredding my senses.

Sebastian held my head down with one hand as he pressed his cock to my entrance.

“No! Don’t do this, please!” I shrieked.

“Don’t make me shove the handkerchief back in your mouth, Alexis. I told you I like it when you scream.”

The crash of a heavy door slamming into stone sent my head whirling around.

“You’re going to be the only one screaming when I get my hands on you, Bass.” Killian’s lethal voice cut through the mad pounding of my heart, an edge to it that should’ve terrified me, but instead made my heart lift.

All the tension evaporated, like a marionette whose strings had been cut. I inhaled a ragged breath as hot tears pricked at the corners of my eyes.

“Killian,” I murmured.

Sebastian’s weight vanished as he whirled on his brother, and a dribble of fear returned, only this time, it wasn’t for myself. “Damn, Kill, I didn’t expect you here so soon.”

“Sebastian has a knife,” I shouted as I pushed myself off the table.

Killian’s massive form coalesced, illuminated by the faint torchlight. A terrifying smile flashed across his strong jaw.

“Then it’s a good thing I have a gun.” His piercing gaze raked over every inch of me. When it landed on my bare bottom half, raw fury, unlike anything I’d ever seen, etched into his features, rage pulsing through those emerald orbs. “You’re a fucking dead man, Bass.”

Sebastian flinched beside me, the twitch barely perceptible as he stuffed his cock back into his pants. “Just give me the damned video, and you and your little whore can be on your way.”

“I don’t fucking think so.” He stalked closer, that terrible smirk curling the corners of his lips. If that look had been directed at me, I would’ve been pissing myself.

I grabbed my panties and sweats off the floor and speared my legs through them.

Sebastian still stood between us, the knife clenched in his fist. “I can still do some damage to her pretty little face. Don’t make me do it.”

I tried to dart around him, but he slapped his arm across my chest and trained the tip of the blade at my throat.

“Let go of her.” The icy calm in Killian’s voice was more terrifying than any threat. “I swear to fucking God, if you don’t get your hands off her this instant, I’ll shoot you right between the eyes. You’ll be dead before you hit the ground. And you know I’m more than capable.”

“That would be first degree murder, Kill. You’d go to jail for life without the fraternity protecting you.”

“Worth it.”

“No.” A whimper squeezed through my lips. I couldn’t lose him, not now, not after everything. “He’s not worth it, Kill. Don’t do it.” I turned my head and shot Bass a narrowed glare. “Just let us go.”

His hold across my chest only tightened, and he dug the tip of the knife into my flesh. The sharp sting sent a curse spilling out. “I can’t do that. Not without the video.”

Killian cocked the gun, the ominous click echoing through the tense space. “Then you die.”

“Killian, please.” I shook my head, eyes pleading. “I can’t lose you.”

“Fuck...” he gritted out.

And then a shot vibrated across the chamber, ripping all the air from my lungs.
