She told me the weapons didn ’ t scare her, so I took
advantage of that and decided her next lesson was learning to use
them. I led her over to the wall of weaponry and faced her toward
my extensive collection. I crossed my arms and waited, curious
about what she would do next.
“ Choose, ” I order her.
She looks at me and then back to the wall full of options. On
the matte black wall hangs daggers, throwing knives, ninja stars, a
flame thrower, axes, brass knuckles, machetes, a few swords,
grenades, tasers, batons, bows, and much more. I can work with
anything that she chooses, but in my opinion, some of these are
better than others.
She slowly walks along the wall and lightly brushes her
fingers across a sword blade, then the sharp tips of the ninja stars.
