Chapter 2 The Offer He Couldn’t Refuse

"Xie Siyan, want to come with me?"

At that time, he was crushed under massive debts, his parents in comas after a revenge car accident orchestrated by enemies.

Everyone avoided him like the plague.

And here I was—the girl who'd always wanted to take him by force—saying something so humiliating.

Of course he broke.

Those wet puppy eyes stared at me stubbornly, and my desires flared.

I really wanted him.

But the meat was almost in my hands, so I wasn't in a rush.

I looked down at him arrogantly and lifted his chin. "Xie Siyan, my patience isn't unlimited.

"Come with me, and I'll pay off your debts and get treatment for your parents.

"Or don't. If you won't do it, plenty of others will."

Xie Siyan clenched his fists so hard his knuckles turned white. He bit his lip until it bled, his eyes burning with the urge to kill me.

I shrugged like I hadn't noticed. "Five seconds to decide.

"Your dignity, or the chance to rise again through me—which matters more?"

I lied to him. If we really married, I'd insist on a prenup for property.

I liked him, but I wasn't stupid.

And I wasn't worried he'd dump me once he had money.

By then I might have grown tired of him anyway and ditched him first.

Spending money to feel good and getting my emotional high—how could I lose?

Knowing he had no other choice now, I started counting smugly. "One, two…"

When I reached three, Xie Siyan looked away, his voice hoarse and dry. "I'll go with you."
