I woke up to Kema breaking Rule Number Three. Her warm lips wrapped around my dick, pulling me out of my dreams. As I opened my eyes, I seen her bopping her head up and down slowly. Well shit. Good morning to me.

I grabbed her by the hair and slid my dick deeper down her throat. "Open up Kema."

She stared up at me wide-eyed as I began stroking upward into her mouth.

Her lips felt good as fuck sliding up and down my dick.

I went deeper, stroking the back of her throat until I felt the slick saliva take over her mouth.

When I pulled out of her mouth and the spit fell from it, she stared up at me with a frown on her face.

"You see how you don't like being interrupted. Neither do I."

Kema tittered nodding before I slid my dick back into her mouth.

I put my hands behind my head allowing her to take control this time.

She took me deep into her throat, then pulled back and spit on my dick before sucking me into her warm-ass mouth again.

I wrapped her hair around my hand and guided her up and down my shaft as my toes curled.

“Fuuuck, Kema. You finna make me nut.” I moaned like a bitch. She hummed around the tip, and that was all it took. I came while watching her continue to lightly suck my sensitive head before swallowing every drop.

“Never doing it again, my ass,” I mumbled.

By the time she climbed out of bed, I was staring at the ceiling trying to remember my own damn name. Kema chuckled and grabbed her robe off the chair like she hadn’t just ruined my entire morning in the best possible way. “Good morning.”

I slowly turned my head. “Kema.”

“What?”

“Come back over here.”

“Nope.” She tied her robe and headed toward the bathroom.

“Kema.”

“I have to shower.”

“So. Lemme taste that pussy Kema please.”

She chuckled before shaking her head. “Nope, we’re supposed to meet everybody downstairs at eleven.”

“Fuck everybody downstairs.”

She laughed. “I’ll see you down there.”

The bathroom door closed behind her. And I dropped my head back against the pillow. Not only was she not playing fair but she had a nigga begging. The fuck was she doing to me. We hadn’t even made it twenty-four hours in Cancún, and Rule Number Three was already dead.

I knew that shit wasn’t going to last anyway. Seven nights in the same bed after I’d spent years wanting her? Yeah, aight. The bathroom door opened a while later, and Kema walked out wrapped in a towel. I had to look away. She knew what she was doing to me.

She laughed. “Why are you still in bed?”

I looked back at her. “You really asking me that?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Keep playing.”

“I plan to.”

“Go put some damn clothes on.”

She disappeared into the closet laughing. This woman was going to get on my fucking nerves. By the time we made it downstairs, most of the wedding party had taken over an area near the pool. Kema walked beside me in a cover-up that wasn’t covering a damn thing. “You wearing that?”

She stopped. “What?”

“That.”

She looked down at herself. “Yes.”

“Where the rest of it at?”

“Ace, it’s a cover-up.”

“Covering what?”

“My swimsuit.”

“I can see the whole swimsuit.”

“That is literally the point.”

“Then why call it a cover-up?”

She stared at me. “Are you somebody’s granddaddy?”

I laughed. “Nah.”

“Then stop acting like it.”

She walked ahead of me, which didn’t help her argument one damn bit. “Kema.”

She looked over her shoulder and caught me staring. “That’s what I thought.”

I shook my head and followed her. That ass was mesmerizing. Fuck now I was bricking up. Sierra spotted us first. “There they are!”

Kema waved, but my attention went to Stephen and Kel standing near the bar. The second Kel saw me, he nodded toward the side of the building. Here we fucking go. “Be right back,” I said walking close to her and whispering in her ear.

Kema followed my eyes. “Where are you going?”

“To talk to Kel.”

“You don’t have to.”

“I know.”

“Ace.”

“I got it.” She studied me before nodding. I kissed her forehead without thinking and walked away. Didn’t even realize I’d done it until I was halfway to Kel. Fuck. He waited until we were away from everybody before turning toward me. “What the fuck, bro?”

“What?”

“Kema nigga?”

“What about her?”

He stared at me. “Out of every woman in the city, you had to fuck with my ex?”

I rubbed my tongue against the inside of my cheek. “Watch how you talk.”

His eyebrows lifted. “Excuse me?”

“You heard me.”

“This what we doing?”

“What are we doing, Kel?”

“You supposed to be my nigga.”

I laughed. His face hardened. “This shit funny?”

“Yeah. You standing here talking to me about loyalty while the woman you cheated on Kema with is somewhere at this resort.”

“That ain’t got shit to do with you.”

“Exactly. And what Kema does ain’t got shit to do with you.”

“She was my woman for four years.”

“Was nigga. She ain’t yours no more.” Kel went quiet. “You had four years with her and fucked it up. That’s on you.”

“You supposed to be my boy. How you go after my woman.”

“Look, nigga. She ain’t yours no more, and we ain’t goin' have any more conversations about this. Whatever Kema and I are doing is between us. You gone have to deal with it.”

His jaw tightened. “Man this fucked up. Yeah I fucked up but that don’t mean I didn’t care about her.”

“So do I.”

Kel’s eyes narrowed. “How long?”

“That wasn’t my question.”

“It’s the answer that matters.”

He shook his head. “Wow.”

“I respected your relationship every day you had one. Don’t make the mistake of thinking I’m stepping aside now because you’re uncomfortable.”

“This shit gonna blow up in your face.”

Maybe. “I’ll take my chances.”

I left him standing there. I wasn’t finna argue with Kel. He knew how I gave it up. Kema was already in the pool when I got back, wearing a blue bikini that made me forget why I had been pissed off in the first place. She swam toward the edge. “How’d it go?”

I crouched beside her. “Shit..”

She rolled her eyes. “Of course.”

“Apparently I’m supposed to pretend you don’t exist because y’all dated.”

“Sounds difficult.”

“Extremely.”

She smiled and held out her hand. “Come in.”

“I ain’t dressed.”

“So?”

I looked at her. Fuck it. I pulled my shirt over my head. Kema’s eyes dropped to my body and I grinned. “See something you like?”

“No.”

“Yo ass a fucking lie.”

“Get in the pool Ace.” I emptied my pockets, kicked off my slides, and got in. Kema immediately started backing away. “Why you running?”

“I don’t run.”

“Now we both know that’s a lie,” I said winking at her before getting closer to her. I caught her around the waist and pulled her against me.

“Ace!”

“What?”

“You’re doing too much.”

“Thought we were supposed to be convincing.”

“Nobody’s looking.” I glanced around. She was right. Nobody gave a damn about us. I looked back at her.

“Then why you still holding onto me?” Kema looked down. Her arms were around my neck. “Habit.”

“We been fake together for three days. What habit?”

“Shut up.” She tried to move, but I kept my arms around her.

"Ace.”

“You want me to let you go?”

Her eyes met mine. “No.”

That was all I needed. I loosened my grip enough to give her the choice.

She stayed. We spent the rest of the afternoon between the pool and the beach.

We ate tacos under an umbrella, she stole my fries even though she had her own, and somehow I got stuck taking enough pictures of her to fill an entire photo album.

Eventually, she fell asleep against my chest on one of the loungers.

Somewhere in the middle of all that, I forgot we were supposed to be pretending.

I didn’t have to think about touching her or holding her hand.

I wasn’t checking to see if Kel was watching.

None of it felt fake. I’d spent years knowing I couldn’t have her.

Now I finally had a chance with her, and letting her go at the end of the week was starting to sound like some bullshit I wasn’t willing to do.
