Chapter 40
I t felt a bit weird to be back at Club Slade.
She’d only ever come with Maggie, who’d she’d talked to earlier today for about two hours.
However, she never thought she’d be here with the guys.
Slade turned to her before they entered the main play room. He grabbed hold of her chin, tilting her head back.
She’d noticed that they liked to do that a lot. It seemed they always wanted her looking at them.
Not that she didn’t like looking at them.
“What are the rules?” he demanded.
She didn’t take offense to the command. They were worried about her. Maybe she shouldn’t have asked to come, but there was no way that Billy could get in here.
And there were people everywhere.
“I have to stay with one of you at all times. I’m not allowed to wander off. Even if I need the bathroom, I tell whoever is with me straight away.”
“And?” Spencer said.
“If I feel uncomfortable, sick or sore, I tell one of you immediately. ”
“Good girl. I want you to be a very good girl, understand?” Slade murmured in that sexy voice. He ran his thumb over her cheek. “Do what you’re told and you will get rewarded.”
“Oh yeah? What sort of reward?” she asked.
Hopefully it was wild, crazy sex.
Because she was starting to wonder if they were ever going to have sex. She seemed to be getting more and more turned on with each day she lived with them. If she got any time on her own, she’d take care of her needs herself.
Maybe they’re not attracted to you because you’re pregnant.
Shit.
That thought kept playing over and over in her mind. It had a deep hold on her and wouldn’t let go.
But it was silly, right?
Slade was looking at her like he wanted to devour her. So surely her reward would be an orgasm?
“How about a back massage?” Slade suggested.
Um, yes, please.
After a life-altering orgasm.
Didn’t that sound like the best night ever?
“And a foot massage,” Spencer added.
Yeah, she loved his foot massages.
But still, no one had mentioned orgasms. She turned to look at Rock.
“Hot chocolate in your teepee.”
Jeez. That did sound awesome. Although she was beginning to think she needed a bigger teepee because she didn’t want to be alone in there and it could only really fit one guy at a time.
“In the wardrobe with cushions and blankets so we can all fit,” she said. “And I want the massages.”
“That could be arranged,” Slade told her.
Right. But what about the orgasms?
“You haven’t asked about what happens if you’re naughty,” Slade said in a low voice that made her shiver.
Yikes .
“W-what?” she asked.
“Hmm, well, let’s see.” Slade tapped his finger against his chin. “There’s spankings. I consulted a doctor about whether it was safe.”
“Wait. What? You talked to a doctor about spanking me?” She gaped up at him.
“Hmm, he wasn’t worried about your pregnancy more about your ribs. So we will save any spankings until you no longer have pain in your ribs. But once you’re fully healed he said a few light smacks wouldn’t harm you.”
“My ribs don’t hurt.”
Um. Why did she say that? One, it sounded like she actually wanted to be spanked.
She. Did. Not.
You are such a liar.
Jeez. All right, maybe she’d always been curious. When she read her books, she’d always gravitated toward the ones with spanking scenes. And they usually turned her on.
Two, sometimes her ribs did still hurt.
“No lying,” Slade said sternly. “That’s going to get you punished.”
“What?” she cried.
“I’m thinking some lines. What do you think, guys?” Slade asked.
“Yep. Fifty lines saying I will not lie to my daddies,” Spencer said with a grin.
“Fifty!” she cried. “When am I supposed to write fifty lines?”
“Hmm, now would be a good time,” Spencer said, taking her hand. “Let’s go find a spot.”
Nooo.
They wouldn’t make her write lines while at the club, would they?
“I’ve got to get to my office and do a few things,” Slade said. He grasped her around the back of her neck and kissed her deeply.
Then Spencer led her into the club with Rock following behind them .
Yikes.
Slade leaned back in his chair with a sigh.
Everything looked good. Church was doing a better job than Alaistair had when they’d left him in charge. What a mess he’d left.
Church stepped into the room. “Everything all right? Could you follow it all?”
“Everything looks good, man. Great job. I’ve signed off on the deliveries we need. I should be able to come back one night a week soon. I should be able to start doing more work during the day, too.”
“Ramsey will be pleased. He’s been tearing his hair out and he didn’t have much to begin with.” Church smirked. “Any news on Billy?”
Anger rolled through his stomach.
“No. Fucking bastard seems to have disappeared.”
Church scowled. “I’m surprised that he can hide from Shepherd and Quaid. Where is Quaid? Did he come tonight?”
“No, he hasn’t been around much. He’s holding himself back from Indie. Thinks he doesn’t deserve her or some shit.”
“What an idiot,” Church said. “You get a second chance with someone like Indie, you grasp hold and thank God.”
Exactly.
His attention went to the door. Was someone there? Had he just seen movement?
Standing, he moved over to where the door was cracked open and glanced out.
Nothing.
Fuck. He was getting paranoid.
First, there was Billy to worry about. Then Sylvia. Now he was seeing things that weren’t there.
“You okay? Was someone there?” Church asked.
“No. I don’t know what it was. But I think I’m going to go see my girl. She’ll need to get home to bed soon. Pregnant women need a lot of rest and pampering.”
Church smirked. “Slade, the family man, huh? Never thought I’d see the day. Figured you’d be single and playing the field until you were eighty.”
Slade snorted. “I never settled down with anyone because it’s always been Indie for me. Always will be.”
Church groaned. “That’s disgustingly romantic and mushy. I feel ill.”
It was Slade’s turn to smirk. “You’ll find someone one day who makes you feel this way. Who becomes your entire world. Who you would murder for. And then I’ll have fun laughing at your downfall.”
His phone rang and he frowned as he saw it was his father. “What the fuck does he want?”
“Who?”
“My father. Like I need that conversation.”
Church grunted. He had a tense relationship with his father as well.
“I’ll leave you to it,” Church said, stepping out and closing the door.
With a sigh, he answered the phone. “What? What do you mean you think she’s gone missing?”
