Chapter 5 Sunni
“Mmm.” A soft moan escaped my lips as Noble gripped my neck. He squeezed firmly, making my lips part slightly.
“Once we cross the line, there’s no going back.” His voice was deep and raspy. His eyes bore into mine in the most hypnotizing way.
“Good. I’m yours.”
He sucked my bottom lip into his mouth. The feeling had my pussy quaking with excitement.
His large hands felt soft and warm against my skin.
He scooped me up into his arms and led me upstairs to the bedroom.
The blackout curtains in my room gave the impression of darkness, though the sun was high in the sky at this moment.
Noble set me on the bed, and the rest became a blur of passion.
First, we tossed our clothes across the room.
Then our hands explored each other’s bodies.
Finally, my back hit the mattress, and my legs spread wide.
Noble treated me like a platter at an all-you-can-eat buffet. He left no part of my body untouched. His tongue found every sensitive part of my body.
In all my twenty-six-years on Earth . . . I never would have thought a man could make me cry tears of immense pleasure while we had sex. Actually, I wouldn’t even call this sex. What Noble and I did on my silk sheets was nothing short of lovemaking—passionate, deep, soul-tying lovemaking.
His sweaty body hovered over me as he used the top of my headboard for support. He’d stretched me to prepare for the main event. His dick was thick, veiny, and had the perfect amount of girth. Not to mention when he got fully erect, the tip curved upward.
Captain Hook was every woman’s dream—or at least mine.
He pressed his hand into my throat as he inserted himself into me. My pussy welcomed him with a warm, wet hug. The force of his strokes was a combination of calculated, raw, and powerful.
“Fuck, Sunni.”
My eyes nearly rolled to the back of my head as he folded my legs into my chest.
“Noble, please.” My arms lifted to pull him close. I wanted to feel every breath he took. I wanted to feel every drop of sweat. I wanted him so badly.
“Ain’t this what you wanted?” he asked in a low tone.
I nodded because the pleasure was too strong to form a coherent phrase.
“Nah, I need to hear you. Ain’t . . . this . . . what . . . you wanted?” Each stroke hit my spot just right. The tears in my eyes poured like a rainy day in the spring. I was hot as hell and begging for more.
“Y-yes! Ooo shit, Noble.”
We’d moved from missionary to cowgirl to on the edge of the bed. Noble’s sexual appetite was almost animalistic by the way he never got tired. Hell, I’d reached my peak four times by the time he’d neared his first one.
The finale of our first time together neared.
I could tell by the look in his eyes that he was barely holding on to the climax building in his core.
We’d moved into the lotus position, with me on top and my arms wrapped around his neck.
Each movement of my hips had us both exclaiming how pleasurable it was.
Our eyes locked as our motions became one. I saw stars as my forehead pressed into his.
“Get up. I’m finna nut.” His warning only made me grind my hips faster.
“Nut in me. I want to feel it in my stomach.” The words sounded foreign to my ears, but a part of me wanted to see if he’d do it.
The request surprised us both. For a split second, he considered it. Then he did the responsible thing and lifted me up to nut on my thigh instead.
“Fuck.” He released a deep breath as he placed me on the mattress and straightened.
His post-sex body looked good enough to eat—sweat coated his deep brown skin, his beard glistened with my juices, and his muscles were undeniably present. Every movement he made had me mesmerized.
“I’m gon’ clean you up, okay?” he asked softly.
The gentleness of his tone fueled my delusions.
He wanted me.
A man didn’t do what we did if he didn’t have feelings for me, right?
“Mmm, okay,” I mumbled as I remained in place.
My eyes watched his every move. He disappeared into my bathroom and came back with a warm, wet towel. He cleaned me with delicate movements.
“You can barely keep your eyes open, Sunni.”
“Hmm?” I blinked slowly.
His smile as he tucked me into bed was the last thing I remembered before sleep consumed me.
When my eyes fluttered open, the darkness greeted me. Memories of what I’d done prior to my sleep hit me like a tidal wave. I ran my hands through my hair and shook my head.
That’s the type of dick that will make me hide in his bushes.
I giggled to myself as I sat up and stretched. Part of me expected Noble to occupy the space beside me, but I was alone. I should have known better than to think sex would be enough.
With a few swift motions, I grabbed my phone from the bedside table and opened up our text thread. My perfectly manicured nails tapped the screen fiercely.
ME:
You’ve got some nerve, Mr. Nash. Do you know how rude it is to knock the sonic rings out of my pussy and then leave me alone in the room? You got me feeling like Yvette in Baby Boy. I hate you Jody.
After pressing send, I tossed my phone on the bed. I stood and let my joints and bones crack and stretch before I headed into the bathroom to wash the scent of this man off my body. How rude of him it was to infiltrate all my senses, my thoughts, and my heart all at once.
It pissed me off so badly to know I was madly in love with this man, and we’d only known each other for a couple of weeks.
How the hell did I get into this situation?
I’d never been one to beg a man for a damn thing.
Most of the men on my roster would be on bended knee ready to give me the stars in the sky if I asked for them.
But Noble was different.
Noble was dark.
Noble was mysterious.
Noble was dangerous.
“Even in the shower, I can’t get this man out of my mind.” I let out a frustrated breath and finished my routine. By the time I returned to my room, I had my signature scent, my bonnet, and my robe on.
Knock. Knock.
The light taps against my bedroom door caught my attention.
“Yes?” I called out.
The door opened, and Noble stood there shirtless with his sweatpants hanging loosely around his hips. The prominent and defined V-line made my mouth water. I shook my head and forced my gaze up his sexy ass body to his hands where two black containers were.
Then the smell of my favorite hot honey glazed wings greeted me.
“You got me wings from the food truck by the gas station?” I quizzed.
He nodded with a smirk. “You didn’t eat all of your breakfast and slept through lunch. The sun set about an hour ago, so I figured you’d be hungry.”
My stomach agreed instantly. The sound of the grumble made us both chuckle.
“Thank you. Um . . . I may have sent a text message earlier that, um, I might have overreacted a little. . .” I scratched the back of my neck and looked away.
“Nah, I saw it.” His smirk made me roll my eyes.
“I’m sorry.”
“You’re good. I know women get attitudes when they’re hungry. Eat.”
“You realize actions like this are why I want you so bad, right?” I asked as I grabbed the container and set it on the bedside table. I remade my bed and placed a large towel on the comforter before I sat down with my legs crossed to eat the meal.
“Yeah. Midway through reciting your order I have memorized, I realized I am also too far gone.”
My lips pulled into a wide grin. “So, we’re going to dive headfirst into the deep end?”
He shook his head and sat on the edge of the bed. He positioned himself so his back was to me, but his side profile was visible. “Nah. We’re going to ease into it. You still have a target on your back, and I don’t want to lose sight of that, trying to be your boyfriend and your bodyguard.”
I pouted. “I get it, but I don’t like it.”
“I know.”
A silence washed over us for only a moment before Noble spoke again.
“How about I take you on a date in a couple of days? Something discreet but fun for us to do and get to know each other?”
My heart nearly jumped out of my chest. I bit my lip to keep from squealing. Once I’d calmed down, I gave a cool nod. “I would like that a lot.”
He let out an amused chuckle before he replied, “Great.”
We ate our food in a comfortable silence. The excitement of a date with Noble had me jittery.
Where would we go?
What would we do?
A week later
“I’m not the most romantic nigga in the world, but I did what I could.”
We stepped off the elevator to a rooftop dinner. There were string lights, wine, and pasta set at a table with a live band playing soft jazz music.
“Noble, this is beautiful.”
“I’m glad you like it.”
He led me to the table, pulled out my chair, and waited for me to get situated before he sat across from me.
The temperature outside was cool and comfortable.
The breeze was light and perfect against my skin.
The aroma from the Cajun pasta made my mouth water with anticipation.
The sparkling wine paired perfectly with the meal.
“I know you want to get to know me, so I’m going to let you ask me five questions as personal as you want them to be. I get to ask you five questions too.”
I sat up straight and grinned. “Perfect. Are we taking turns, or is this more of a hot seat kind of thing?”
“Taking turns.”
Lifting the wineglass to my lips, I eyed Noble intensely.
From his crisp, signature haircut to the glow of his deep brown skin, he was perfect.
He wore a plain white T-shirt, a gold chain, and a pair of black pants.
To complement the look, he wore designer sneakers and a gold watch.
I wanted to massage my fingernails through his thick beard.
“What’s your favorite color?” I asked with a smirk.
He raised a brow. “You only get five questions, and you want to waste it on my favorite color?”
“It’s not a waste. There’s a method to my madness.”
He chuckled. “My favorite color is black.”
“Interesting.”
He took a sip of his wine before he licked his lips. “Unlike you, I’m asking the heavy questions off rip.”
“That’s fine.”
“When was your last serious relationship?”
I blinked. “Oh. Um . . .” I shrugged.
“Nah, don’t bullshit me.”
“I don’t think I’ve had a serious relationship. At least not one worth talking about. I’ve had flings and a couple of men take me on a few dates, but I have never had a long-term relationship. None who have made it to the meet the parents’ stage, at least.”
He nodded. “Good to know I won’t have to kill any crazy exes.”
I snorted. “Absolutely not. Nobody is checking for me. Now, back to you. What’s your family situation like? When we get married, how many invites will we send on your behalf?”
He chuckled. “It’s just me. My parents waived their rights to be parents the moment I took my first breath. My mom was fourteen, and my pops was seventeen. I think I met them maybe one other time before they asked me never to contact them again.”
I placed my hand over my heart. “Oh, Noble. I did not know. I’m sorry.”
He shrugged. “It’s fine. You didn’t abandon me and leave me to fend for myself in the corrupt foster care system. I learned how to survive and realized I only needed to rely on myself.”
A sad frown tugged at the corners of my lips. It broke my heart to hear how much he went through as a child. He didn’t ask to be brought into the world, and the adults in his life failed him too many times.
“What do you want to do in life?” Noble’s question caught me off guard.
“I want to continue to help as many people in the world as possible. I have a lot of money that I haven’t had to work a minute of my life for, so I like to give back through volunteer work and donations.
I think my biggest goal is to partner with Roosevelt Corp and build more shelters and homes for the unhoused.
I have more than enough money to pay people’s rent for a few years, at least.”
“That’s very nice of you. Most rich people get their money by sacrificing and exploiting the poor. It’s refreshing to see you be different.”
I shrugged. “My mother did her best to teach me and my brother how to be humble, respectful, and hard workers, despite having financial comfort.”
“That’s good.”
We moved from the table to the love seat near the band. We had another bottle of wine opened and continued our conversation.
“My turn. What are your views on kids?” I asked as I lifted my heeled feet and placed them in his lap.
“Honestly, before I met you, I was content with being one deep. I was content with my solitude. Now . . . I’ve thought about what it would be like to have someone to love unconditionally in ways I never got to experience.”
I giggled. “See, look at me bringing some light into your grumpy life. I bet I’m the first person to ever make you smile as much as you have since getting this job.”
He smacked his lips. “Man, gone on somewhere with that.”
I shook my head. “Nope. Admit it.”
I climbed into his lap and placed my hands on his cheeks. The wine and jazz band were long forgotten as our eyes connected.
“What are you doing, Sunni?”
“Admit it.”
“Fine. You’re the first woman to make me smile like this.
You’re the first woman I’ve ever wanted to settle down with and build something special.
You break all of my rules, and yet I can’t get enough of you.
” His voice was even, his eyes still, and his breathing leveled.
Every word he spoke landed directly on my soul.
Noble is going to be my husband. That’s it. That’s all.
