Chapter 10
Laith stared down at the woman in his arms, not sure what had just happened. He’d never been this wild before, this desperate for a woman. Had it been the fight at the restaurant that had pushed him over the edge?
No, he’d wanted Andi since the first moment he’d seen her. Pulling reluctantly out of her tight sheath, he admired her bare form. She had perfect, round breasts tipped with pretty, rosy nipples. He hadn’t had a chance to explore those nipples properly yet.
Next time, he would explore and ravish her breasts.
He would discover more about her body, find out what turned her on, what she tasted like, and how she preferred to be touched.
Everything about Andi fascinated him. Laith wanted to start exploring her body, but the fact that she’d fallen so deeply asleep immediately showed how exhausted she was.
He knew that she’d been working long hours, longer than the rest of the team most nights.
Andi was meticulous about her job and he appreciated her dedication.
But now, she was in his bed, and he couldn’t wait to learn more about her. Sighing, he headed into the bathroom and stepped into the shower. That’s when he realized what he’d forgotten. He hadn’t protected Andi! He hadn’t used a condom! Damn it, he nearly punched the wall.
He hadn’t protected his woman. Even after she’d screamed his name, admitting that she was his, he’d forgotten to use a condom.
Quickly washing off, he dried himself, then slipped back into the bedroom, staring down at her. She was so beautiful. In her sleep, Andi had curled onto her side, her lips parting slightly as she slept. Her long, dark lashes fanned out over her soft, pale skin.
He watched her for another moment, but the temptation to hold her was too much for him.
He tossed the wet towel back into the bathroom, then climbed into bed, pulling the covers over them as he cradled her in his arms. Just before he fell asleep, Laith remembered the box that had been delivered to her earlier today.
They’d come up here to discuss that box.
Tomorrow, he promised. Then he let sleep take him into oblivion, content to hold Andi the rest of the night.
