Chapter 17 #2
He doubled his efforts, his tongue and fingers increasing in pace, until her orgasm was right there, just out of reach.
She clutched a handful of his hair, and he growled but didn’t let up his assault.
The pads of his fingers found her G-spot, making her body tremble and her toes curl.
He stroked it several times, then bit down gently on her clit.
The tension that’d been building inside her crested and shattered, her body arching as pleasure swept through her.
Her hands twisted, one still in his hair, the other clutching the comforter.
Pleasure swept through her in slow waves before she finally collapsed into the mattress, boneless and spent.
As she gasped for air, Brian crawled up her body and kissed her. She tasted herself on his lips when he kissed her again, the intimacy of it sending a fresh shiver through her.
Grabbing the condom he’d tossed onto the bed at some point, she ripped it open. He went up on his knees, his cock long, hard, and weeping from the slit. Licking her lips, she slowly rolled the latex barrier on him, reveling in his throaty moan at her touch.
His thighs and fists clenched. “Fuck, Tess. I’m hanging on by a thread here.”
She threw him a sexy grin. “Impatient, Agent Malone?”
“You know this is cruel, Ms. Bingham, right?”
“Uh-huh.” She glanced up at him and winked.
He closed his eyes for half a second. “Yeah. Thought so.”
When she was finished torturing him, he sighed. “Thank fuck.”
Stretching out on top of her, he ran his tongue over her ear before nuzzling her neck. “Payback’s a bitch, sweetheart.”
“So I’ve heard. Now, hurry. I want you inside me.”
Reaching between them, he positioned the tip of his cock at her entrance and gently pushed. Still flushed from her release, her body welcomed him, opening to him without resistance. It only took a few short thrusts for him to slide all the way in.
A rough groan erupted from him as he held himself still. “Shit, you’re so tight, Tess, it’s like I’m being strangled. And that wasn’t a complaint.”
She felt so full, and it took a moment for her body to adjust to his girth.
His mouth found hers again as his hips set a slow, relentless rhythm. Her mind went blissfully empty, reduced to sensation and the way he made her feel. She moaned and traced his skin with hungry hands.
He broke away with a rough inhale and lowered his head beside hers on the pillow.
Gasping for air, he shifted to change the angle of his thrusts, and she cried out as he hit her G-spot repeatedly.
Liquid heat rushed through her veins as Brian increased his pace.
As the pressure within her built again and threatened to explode, she dug her nails into his back.
When she went over the edge, she took him with her.
Their combined shouts of ecstasy reverberated throughout the bedroom.
Their bodies finally stilled, breath ragged, hearts hammering in the quiet that followed, their skin slick with perspiration where they were pressed together.
Brian stayed over her for a moment, his forehead pressed to hers, as they both replenished their depleted oxygen supply. Then he eased his weight to the side, careful not to lose contact, drawing her with him so she was tucked against his chest.
His arm came around her automatically.
Tess curled into him, still trembling faintly, her cheek resting over his heart. It slowed beneath her ear, steady and strong.
Neither spoke right away.
The room was filled with the soft sound of their breathing and the distant hush of waves outside, like the world had decided to give them a minute.
Brian kissed the top of her head. “You okay?” he murmured.
She nodded against him. “Yeah. Just... catching my breath.”
Her voice came out softer than she’d expected.
His arm stayed secure around her, his hand moving in slow, easy circles over her back.
They lay there like that, skin warm, limbs tangled, the intensity giving way to something quieter. Something deeper. Tess traced idle patterns across his chest, feeling the steady rise and fall beneath her fingers.
After a moment, he spoke again, his voice low and sincere. “That was... amazing.”
Her lips curved faintly. “Yeah. It really was.”
But even as she said it, her thoughts started to wander.
How will this change things?
Will either of us regret it in the morning?
Was it just a fleeting moment in time that we’d shared, or is this the beginning of something neither of us had planned for or expected?
She didn’t have the answers as Brian slid from her body. Worry crept in as he stood, removed the condom, and disappeared into the bathroom.
Was he going to leave?
God, she hoped not.
The anxious flutter in her chest eased when he returned, stretched out beside her, and pulled the sheets and comforter over them both.
She shifted closer, fitting herself into his side, and he welcomed her without hesitation, drawing her in like it was instinct.
Earlier, she’d promised herself that she wouldn’t let her heart get ahead of her head. She wouldn’t read too much into his warm arms and whispered words and the way he held her as if she mattered.
But lying there with him, listening to his breathing even out, it was hard not to wonder. Hard not to hope.
They didn’t need to define anything yet. For now, it was enough to be there—wrapped around each other, breathing in sync.
And Tess told herself she’d take it one step at a time.
Even if part of her already knew she was in trouble.
