Chapter Three
Lucky
I’m not the type to be possessive…but hell, there’s something about her. -Lucky
I glance down at the redhead again. She hasn’t said much since I walked to the front gate. She’s just walking beside me quietly, her hands tucked together like she’s afraid to untwist them and a nervous tremble to her lips.
You could have knocked me over with a feather when Scar said there was a redhead at the gate wanting to see me.
I had hopes it was the redhead from the church.
She’s all I’ve thought about for the past week.
I was ready to go looking for her despite my brain telling me that was a distinctly bad idea.
Why the hell she came to find me I have no idea, but my lucky streak continues.
“You said you needed to talk.” I nod towards the Viper, our club bar. It’s the middle of the day so it should be pretty deserted. “We can talk in there. I’ll get us a booth.”
I push open the doors of the bar for her and step aside while she walks in.
She’s a beautiful princess that looks totally out of place in this ramshackle bar.
My gaze takes in the sway of her hips and the curve of her ass…
fuck, she’s delicious. My dick stirs and I mentally tell him to calm down.
This is not the type of woman I can fuck with and then run away from.
I know that much. And I’m not the kind of guy that’s good for much else.
I raise a hand up to Blaze in greeting. He’s wiping down the bar and simply raises an eyebrow. When I nod towards a booth in the back, he glances over at the redhead and then me. He shakes his head. He mouths “be good” and I just toss him a reckless grin. He rolls his eyes but calls out a greeting.
“Go ahead and grab a booth, Lucky. Let me know if you need anything.”
I pretend to salute him. “Got it boss.”
I lead my dream woman to a booth in the farthest corner.
There’s approximately four people besides us in here.
Two drunks that are here every day, Blaze, and Blaze’s wife, Elsie, who has papers spread out on a table across the room.
She looks up from her work only long enough for me to give her a wink and for her to roll her eyes.
Once we’re seated, I give the stunning redhead my signature smile. “So somehow you know my name, but I have no idea what your name is, pretty girl. How ‘bout an introduction?”
She gulps and her cheeks toward that innocent pink again. Fuck, she’s beautiful. Whatever she’s here about, I’m ready to say yes.
She tucks a strand of her curly red hair behind her ear. “Rose. My name is Rose. And um…” she drums her fingers on the table until I stop her with my hand on her soft skin.
“Hey, no need to be nervous Rose. I’ve never refused a beautiful woman before and I don’t assume I’ll start today, so no reason to be scared.” I grin. “I won’t bite. Not unless you want me to.”
She giggles. It’s a small, refreshing sound that makes my smile grow.
She takes a deep breath. “Thanks for making this easier. I’m more than a little nervous.” She shifts in her seat. “I got your name from the girls at church. You know, after we saw each other when I was leaving the church. You were kind of hard to miss so I asked…around.”
I raise an eyebrow. “You were intrigued by our encounter last week, huh? So was I. I gotta warn you, though, sweetheart. I’m not a datable guy.
It’s sweet and all that you came here to ask me out.
” More than sweet. It’s damn tempting. For once, I want to throw out all my damn rules and boundaries and go on a date. A real date with this princess.
She lets out a long breath and gives me a shaky smile. “That’s not why I’m here. I don’t want a date.” She shifts in the booth seat again like she’s got ants in her pants.
My heart beats faster. What exactly does this girl want?
“Spit it out, sweetheart. No harm in askin’ for what you want.”
Her eyes darken at my words. The smile that suddenly appears across her face is still a little nervous, but also just slightly predatory.
“I don’t want a date, but I do want something. I want you to fuck me and take my virginity. That’s why I’m here, Lucky. That’s what I need from you.”
My dick immediately reacts to that enticing statement. Well, fuck, that’s about the last thing I expected her to say.
