21. Dax
DAX
We all agreed it had been one long fucking day, and it would be better to reconvene with Dante present.
Better to have the full scope of our arsenal than working with less than a full deck.
Alvaro went with Harper and the triplets since no one would be looking for him there and hopefully kept us from getting attacked yet again on the same day.
We arrived back at the hotel, and I let the front desk know we wanted to add an additional two days to our stay. They weren’t super thrilled with it, but when I told them I’d cover any fees necessary for the damage and cleanup needed, they were more willing.
On the way back, we’d picked up a mountain of Chinese takeout and feasted on it.
With Eagle or Weston always cooking, I’d sort of missed takeout.
Before them, I’d eaten it at least two or three times a week since Wes wasn’t always home at night.
After eating my body weight in orange chicken and potstickers, I flopped on the couch.
“Oh God, I think I ate too much.” I groaned, rubbing my belly. “Look at that food baby.”
Picasso laughed and rubbed it like I was a lucky buddha or something. “Do I get to make a wish?”
Rolling my eyes, I shoved his hand off me. “Don’t make it weird.”
As if determined to make it weird as possible, he shoved up my shirt and blew a loud raspberry into my stomach. The feel of it had me laughing so hard, I almost peed my pants as he continued to do it repeatedly.
“Uncle, I give, I give,” I begged as I tried to roll off the couch. “Fuck, if you don’t stop, I’m going to pee myself.”
Finally, he let up, and I yelped as he scooped me up in his arms and set me on my feet. “Go, no one wants you pissing your pants.”
Still laughing, I jogged off to the bathroom and gave a sigh of relief as I made it just in time.
Fuck, I couldn’t remember the last time I’d been tickled like that.
It was actually something I hated most of the time, but for some reason, I didn’t mind so much with Picasso.
The moment had felt light, free, and for just a few moments, I forgot a madman was hunting me.
Washing up, I stepped out of the bathroom only to run into Cam.
“Hey,” I greeted with a smile. “What’s up?” I asked as he let his hands settle on my hips.
“Do you feel up for going out?” he questioned.
That’s right… he’d wanted to take me out on a date tonight. “Shit, Cam, you should have said something instead of letting me gorge myself on takeout.”
Cam gave me a bemused smile. “Did you think my date was just going to be as boring as taking you out for dinner?”
Well, when he put it that way. “To be honest, I didn’t have a clue what to make of you wanting to take me out on a date.
Since you and I split, I haven’t gone on dates.
There were no candle-lit dinners, late-night drinks at the bar, going to see a movie, or anything like that.
I’d be out, find someone I thought was attractive, then hit it and quit it. ”
“That’s exactly why I think all of us should be taking you out on dates for the rest of our lives together.
Being together as a group is important, and we need to know how to function like that ninety-five percent of the time.
The other five percent needs to be us having time with you alone, making sure our individual relationships are solid,” Cam explained.
“So, if you’re feeling up to it, I have a whole outfit for you on the bed.
Take a shower, get changed, and let me take you out, hmm? ”
“You got me an outfit?” I blurted. “When the fuck did you have time to do that?”
“That’s the beauty of hotels like this, they’ll pick up things for you,” Cam countered. Then he leaned in and gave me a slow sensual kiss that had my knees giving out. “Come on, Dax, will you play with me tonight?”
Hearing that specific question gave me an inkling of what Cam had in mind. He only ever asked me when he wanted to let his more dark and deviant nature come out. I’d asked him to keep it just between us for now, not quite sure the rest of the guys were ready for his form of play.
“I’d love to play with you,” I whispered against his lips. “How much time do I have?”
“As much time as you need. The place doesn’t close until five in the morning,” Cam assured me.
With that bit of information, I chewed on my bottom lip as I stepped around him and headed upstairs.
On the bed was a box with a large red bow on top of it, making me grin.
I lifted the lid and pulled back the tissue paper to find something that was all straps and bits of fabric.
There was even a little instruction pamphlet showing you how to get the damn thing on.
When I flipped it over and saw the image of the model wearing it, I was totally on board.
The teddy, as they called it, was named Forbidden Love.
It was hot pink with a bit of black, showing you where the clasps were.
Taking out the two pieces, I found more under them.
I lifted a slinky black dress that wouldn’t cover much but would show off a fair amount of the straps on the teddy.
Oh, Cam was going to get so much shit from the guys for this, but I was even more excited.
Where the hell could Cam take me wearing something so risqué?
I showered wickedly fast and used the hotel blow-dryer to get my hair all fluffy and spiky.
I’d brought some basic makeup, so I applied it without having much choice in the matter.
Then I spent the next thirty minutes figuring out the goddamn straps to this fucking thing.
I even looked up the website, and they had a video showing you, which helped a hell of a lot.
Once it was on, I checked myself in the mirror and whistled.
“Fuck, if I don’t look hot as shit,” I praised my reflection.
Surprisingly, the way the straps all crisscrossed over one another covered my nipples and my lady bits.
The outfit definitely did wonders for my ass, as it seemed to mold it into the perfect shape.
When I put the dress on, the front hung low and loose, showing off the intricate pattern underneath.
It stopped just after the curve of my ass, meaning if I bent over, I’d be flashing a full moon to everyone who was looking.
When I stepped out of the bathroom, there was a pair of outrageous heels I swear to God might kill me.
Groaning, I put them on and clung to the handrail as I made it down to the living room where everyone else was hanging out.
Cam stood there in a tight, sexy leather short-sleeve shirt with black slacks.
The grin on his face and the hunger in his eyes had me pausing at the intensity.
“Goddamn, you’re one lucky bastard,” Wes grumbled.
Cam turned to look at him with a smirk on his lips. “You’re free to take her out any time you wish. I just happened to come up with the idea first.”
“You better be planning to put a coat on her, or I’m going to be following behind you stabbing any man who dares look at her in the fucking eye,” Eagle announced.
“I’ll be right behind you,” Void added.
Cognac just pulled out his phone and took about ten pictures of me from every angle. “Do you think I can talk you into taking off the dress?”
My gaze drifted to Cam. This was his date, and he’d set up everything. “No, I think I’d like to keep that image all to myself,” he said, reaching out to take my hand. “I feel like I need to get you out of here before the others change their mind about letting me take you out.”
Sprocket just snorted. “No, all you did was lay down the gauntlet. Now the rest of us are going to have to one-up you.”
“You make that sound like a bad thing?” I retorted. “Personally, it sounds way more fun for me to have you guys trying to come up with a more ridiculous date than the others.”
Picasso smiled as he placed his leather jacket over my shoulders.
“That’s what we aim to do for the rest of our lives with you, spitfire.
Spoil the ever-loving shit out of you in any way you’ll let us.
” He kissed me softly on the lips before stepping back.
“Have fun, and just know you’re going to have to tell us every dirty detail when you get back. ”
“Speaking of getting back,” Eagle piped up. “When should we be expecting you?”
“Really, pres, you’re going to wait up all night for me to come back with my date? Maybe clean your gun while you’re at it so he knows you’re serious?” I teased.
Eagle walked up to me and cupped my cheek. “While that would be fun, I’m asking so we know if something’s gone wrong. Cam told us where he’s taking you already, but I need to know when we start worrying.”
Well, doesn’t that make me look like an asshole after saying what I had? “Good point. Cam, do you have a thought on that?”
“I’ll have her back by three at the latest,” he answered. “If we aren’t back here by then, send out the call.”
Eagle gave a sharp nod then gave me a searing kiss before he stepped back. “Don’t do anything that will keep you from coming back to us, little hellcat.”
Leaning into Cam, I looked at the rest of my guys and smiled. “I love you all… we’ll be back later. Try not to do more damage to this place than what’s already been done. I’d rather not have to buy the hotel because it will be cheaper than repairing it.”
They all laughed and assured me everything would be fine as Cam wrapped an arm around my shoulders and guided me to the elevator. I snuck my arm around his waist and looked up at him. “Do I get a clue as to where we’re going?”
“I feel like I’ve given you lots of clues with the clothes, but if you haven’t figured it out, then I’m not going to spoil the fun,” he answered.
Letting out a huff, I poked him in the ribs, knowing he was ticklish there, and he yelped at the sudden attack. He glared down at me, but I could tell he wasn’t upset as he tugged the jacket around me tighter before the doors opened, revealing the lobby.
