Chapter 8

Chapter Eight

LYRIC

Ithread my fingers between Yuri’s so I don’t lose him in the dark.

The light from the bonfire is a flickering dot in the distance, and the half-moon overhead doesn’t help much.

I know the way though. It’s not exactly a private beach, but it’s a great spot, far enough down the shore to get away from the party noise, up a small slope so it’s out of the way of the high tide, and with a perfect, peaceful view of the ocean.

I tug him up the hill and he follows me with a quiet laugh.

The sand turns to soft grass under our feet, and I stop once we reach the top.

“Oh, wow.”

I take my guitar off my back and set it against a tree while Yuri takes in the view.

He looks from the dark ocean back to the party, far away in the distance and barely visible anymore except for the lights, then finally to the spot itself.

This is one of my go-to spots when I want to just vibe by myself, so I guess I’ve kind of made it my own over the years.

There’s a hammock strung up between two palm trees, with a pair of sneakers I thought I lost weeks ago lying underneath it.

I somehow ended up with a baggie full of mystery seeds a few years ago that I pretty much dumped out in the grass.

They turned out to be a mix of flower seeds that bloom every spring now.

They’re hard to see in the dark, but it looks like they made it through another winter and are starting to bloom again.

“Not what you expected?” I guess when he doesn’t say anything else.

“I know better than to try to anticipate things when it comes to you, Coop.” He wanders over to the hammock and tests out the ties.

I snort quietly. He doesn’t trust me? I guess they must seem sturdy enough though, because after a few tugs on each side, he cautiously lowers himself into the hammock.

“I’m not sure if that’s a compliment coming from you,” I joke. I definitely remember Yuri preferring things to be predictable. He always needed to know what to expect and what to plan for.

“I think it’s the kind of thing I didn’t appreciate enough when we were together. It’s probably what’s been missing from my life that’s made it so unbearably dull.”

I know he just means a bit of unpredictability and excitement in general, but it kind of sounds like I’m what’s been missing from his life. It’s a nice thought, and I think I’ll let myself pretend that’s what he meant, since there’s no harm in it.

The hammock swings gently in the light breeze and Yuri looks peaceful, gazing up at all the stars. A slow smirk spreads across my face. I only decide what I’m going to do a fraction of a second before I start moving, and I know he doesn’t see it coming. He said he missed the excitement, right?

I launch myself into the hammock with him and he shrieks as my weight lands on top of him, our bodies crashing together and setting the hammock swinging wildly.

And the ties do hold up, thank you very damn much.

His scream turns into laughter as both of us shift and wiggle to find the sweet spot where both of our bodies roll into the middle of the colorful canvas.

We settle with Yuri on his side facing me, one leg slung over mine, my arm around him so he can rest his head on my shoulder.

“You come up here a lot?” he asks.

“On and off. I usually come for a few weeks, then forget it’s here. A while later I’ll stumble on it again and start the whole thing all over.”

Yuri laughs, but then he gets a serious look. I know that look. He’s thinking hard about something, making some kind of calculation or connection to god knows what. Maybe he’ll tell me once he works it all out, maybe he won’t. I learned a long time ago that it’s pointless to ask.

The look fades after a few seconds and his eyes focus on me again.

I can’t see them well in the dark, but I’ve looked at him enough to be able to picture the exact shade of his icy blue irises.

He drags his fingers along the edge of my jaw and coaxes me to tilt my head, bringing my lips less than an inch from his.

I slide my hand under his shirt, running my fingertips along his hot skin.

He shudders, and I feel his cock pressed against my thigh getting thicker and harder.

I burn through that last half inch of space between our mouths and Yuri sighs, melting into the kiss, parting his lips and teasing the tip of his tongue against mine.

It’s like striking a match or pouring gasoline on a fire—all it takes is the smallest spark between us to start a blaze.

I groan into his mouth and deepen the kiss, our tongues tangling as our lips find a hungry rhythm together.

The hammock sways with our movements, making Yuri laugh against my mouth.

I roll into him and our cocks find their way to each other through our clothes.

I’m all for a slow frot like we did on my living room floor, but there’s no way we’re going to be able to get off like this in the hammock.

That’s fine though, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t feel good to grind together.

My cock throbs from the way he keeps sighing and quietly groaning around our dueling tongues.

I slide my hand down his body, brushing my thumb over his stiff nipple to make him feed me a moan, then all the way down to his shorts. He jerks his hips, breaking the kiss to pant against my lips and groan my name.

“Cooper.”

I never liked my real name that much. It’s fine, but not that exciting.

But when he says it in that horny, breathless voice like it’s a goddamn prayer, it becomes my favorite name.

I unzip his shorts and wrap my fingers around his stiff cock through his briefs.

The fabric is soft as hell, wrapping around his shaft and sliding easily in my hand as I stroke him slowly.

I guess I can see why he was so attached to these particular underwear, they feel like they’d be comfortable.

Dampness blooms at the head of his cock and he moans as he slides his tongue back into my mouth for another deep kiss.

“Let me suck you off?” I rasp, desperate to feel the weight of his cock on my tongue and taste the salty, sweet flavor of his precum.

“Fuck. Please,” he pants, jerking his hips, thrusting into my grip. His nose bumps against mine and our hot breath mingles in the space between our mouths.

I stroke him a little faster and his hips snap to match the pace, rocking the hammock a little more wildly. Something creaks, but I can barely hear it over our muffled grunts and gasps. He digs his fingers roughly into my chest and grinds his throbbing cock into my hand.

There’s that sound again, a little louder and then—

“Shit,” I grunt while Yuri screams and accidentally bites down on my bottom lip a little too hard.

The canvas collapses around us and we hit the ground in a heap. His weight lands on top of me, knocking the breath out of my lungs.

“Are you okay?” I wheeze, prying my hand off of his cock to feel the rest of him and make sure there aren’t any bones sticking out or anything. I guess it wasn’t too far to fall, but we hit the ground hard enough.

He starts to laugh and I feel his head to check for any serious bumps or bleeding, because that has to be a sign of head trauma, right? Yuri laughs harder and slams his lips back into mine.

“Do you need a doctor, or can I still get that blowjob?” he asks, and I laugh against his mouth.

“I think I’m alright.” Nothing serious enough to stop what we’re doing if he’s still into it.

The kiss gets heated again in seconds, his cock finding mine through our clothes again.

Well, some of our clothes. I think I did manage to get his shorts off before we went down.

I laugh again and so does he. Laughter and moans weave around each other in a strange melody.

We both swat at the hammock to get ourselves free while chuckling and kissing and grinding wildly against each other.

Eventually we manage to fling the material off of us, and I pry my mouth away from his before kissing my way down, licking and nibbling on random patches of his skin along the way.

He tastes like Goose’s new Pina Colada soap and just a little bit of sweat.

I groan and stop to suck a bruise onto his hip.

Yuri gasps and thrusts, lifting his ass off the ground to press into the ache of the bite.

I yank his underwear down and his cock bobs free, a little short and thick, the perfect size cock to fit in your mouth and suck on for hours.

I know because I’ve done it. I probably shouldn’t let it go on that long tonight since we’re both bound to start feeling our bruises from that fall before long, but maybe another night?

If he’s into it. If he wants to keep doing… whatever it is we’re doing.

I stop sucking on his skin and catch the tip of his cock between my lips. I flick my tongue along his crown, tasting the saltiness of his precum and earning another gasped, “Cooper.”

YURI

Fuuuuuck. I rarely let myself remember how fucking enthusiastic and bone-melting Cooper’s blowjobs were. It made me too depressed to know that no one would probably ever blow my mind like that again. Pun intended.

“Fuuuuck.” I think I groan it out loud this time, but it’s impossible to tell over the thunder of my pulse in my ears and the filthy, sloppy sounds of Cooper choking himself on my cock like it’s his last fucking meal.

I tangle my fingers in his hair and thrust into his mouth, grinding into the tight, wet heat and the vibrations of every one of his muffled moans around my shaft.

He slides his hands underneath me and digs his fingers into my ass cheeks, dragging his tongue up and down my shaft while he sucks me.

After a minute, he pries one hand off of my ass and moans around my cock again.

I focus on him, looking disheveled and fucking feral between my legs, like he’s Tarzan and I’m some uptight professor who got stranded on his island…

which I guess is pretty accurate, actually.

His shoulder jerks and he bobs his head faster up and down my cock.

Fuck, he’s jerking off while he sucks me.

I wish I could see, but it’s enough to hear and feel his groans, to know that sucking me off is making him so horny he can’t keep his hand out of his pants.

“I’m close,” I gasp, snapping my hips to thrust into his mouth, my balls bouncing against his chin and constricting with the heat that builds rapidly in my gut and around the base of my cock.

He’s stroking himself faster too, I know he is.

His breathing is heavy around my cock, and his moans are an unending vibration now, one right after another.

I slam deep into his mouth, feeling the fleshy back of his throat constrict around the head of my cock with his swallow.

I’m so close that that’s all it takes for the heat to explode inside me and my cock to start pulsing between his lips, spilling jets of my cum onto his tongue.

He swallows them down, and the constriction milks a few more drops out.

Cooper groans around me, holding me in the heat even once I start to get oversensitive and soften between his lips.

He pants out puffs of breath through his nose, the heat fluttering over my sweat-slicked skin.

His throat tightens one more time and my hips jerk involuntarily with the shudder that rocks through me.

He grunts and his muscles tense with his orgasm.

I slide my fingers over his shoulders so I can feel every shiver and quake that rushes through him.

I gasp when he finally releases my spent cock and sags against me, resting his head against my thigh and lying down, presumably right in his own cum. I sputter a breathless laugh and he grunts; an obvious “what’s funny?” without so many words.

I shake my head. He’ll figure it out when he gets up. It’s not like it makes any difference now that he’s down there. I rake my fingers gently through his hair, petting out the tangles I made while he sucked me.

I look down at him, seeming like he’s halfway to falling asleep and completely content here on the ground, under the stars.

There’s a different ache in the pit of my stomach now.

We didn’t break up because we didn’t get along.

Sure, we had problems like all couples, but nothing that I think would have driven us apart.

We broke up because he didn’t want to come to Sweden and I had to take that opportunity.

But that’s behind us. We’re both here now.

I wish I had the guts to ask him if this is just casual for him or if he could see something more, some day.

But I don’t want to ruin the moment. It’s too perfect, it wouldn’t be right.

Cooper hums a song I don’t recognize under his breath, and we lie there under the stars, doing the one thing I’ve never been good at—existing in just this moment.

I have to admit, it’s kind of nice.
