Chapter - 79

Dr. Mehra and Dr. Arora had both told me the same thing—I needed to give Siya happy moments.

She had to focus on something other than her overthinking, and I knew exactly how to do it.

That's why I asked her to make dinner for me.

Cooking would distract her, and I knew she'd secretly enjoy doing things for me.

Dinner went fine until I mentioned, casually, "I'm going to Udaipur tomorrow for a two-day business meeting..."

Before I could even finish, she ran straight to our room. I sighed, knowing my rani sa's heart couldn't handle even small separations, and immediately went after her. I had to stop her from crying.

On my way, my phone rang. It was Mr. Rajvansh.

"Mr. Rathore," he said, "I'm coming to Jaipur. I need to tell you something important I just found out. Can I meet Siya as her mamaji?"

"No," I said sharply. "Not now. You can come after two days. And we'll wait a little longer before telling Siya anything. I'll handle everything myself." I cut the call. I can't risk anything right now—not after everything these past few days. Only I will tell her everything.

I entered our room to find her curled under the blanket, trying to hide herself.

My heart tightened. I distracted her gently so she wouldn't cry, but my bold little rani sa gave me a dark love bite before falling asleep.

I didn't complain. I just watched her sleep for a moment, letting my chest fill with both pride and love.

Once she was asleep, I got up and packed everything for both of us. After a short rest of 3–4 hours, I took a shower and got ready. My men carried our luggage.

Then I carefully lifted her into my arms. She shifted slightly against my chest but didn't wake up. That's how I took her to our private plane, holding her like she was the most precious thing in the world.

When she woke up on the plane, the first thing I saw was that smile. That tiny, perfect smile... I would do anything for it.

After breakfast, I told her, "I have a meeting now. I'll be back in 2–3 hours. After that, all the time is yours."

She looked at me, her eyes still sleepy, and I felt it—I had to make these two days perfect. Every plan, every moment... it's all for her. So my angel can forget her doubts, forget her overthinking. So she knows I will never leave her.

I wanted to do something for him... something that would make him smile. But the problem was—I was in a new city, and I didn't know anything here. Where should I even start?

The first name that came to my mind was Trisha. She would help me. Quickly, I dialed her number. After 5–6 rings, she finally picked up.

"Hello, cutiepie..." she said in her half-sleepy voice.

I felt a little guilty for disturbing her, but I needed her right now. "Tri... I need your help."

Immediately, she got serious. "Are you okay? What happened to you?"

I almost laughed at how fast she panicked. "Calm down, Tri. I'm okay... it's just..." My voice trailed off.

She waited, but when I didn't finish, she pushed me. "Just what, Siya?"

I took a deep breath. "I'm in Udaipur with Aarav... and I want to surprise him but..."

Before I could even finish, she jumped in, teasing me. "Ohooo, romantic surprise and all. Hmmm... good, good. So you're already in the process of making me masi, haan?"

"Shut up, Trisha!" I said, hiding my face with one hand even though she couldn't see me. My cheeks burned just at her words. "I don't have much time. Listen to me properly."

She laughed, but then I told her everything—what I wanted to do, how I wanted to make Aarav feel special, and how clueless I was in this new city.

"Okay, okay," she said, sounding more awake now. "I'll order a dress for you. It should reach by evening. And for the rest, I'll text you some local stores and places near your hotel. Don't worry, I know Udaipur well."

My heart felt lighter. "Thank you, Tri..."

"Anything for you, cutiepie. And Siya..." she paused before adding with a giggle, "Don't forget—make it romantic."

I rolled my eyes and quickly cut the call after a few more minutes of talking.

After that, I went to the bathroom and took a long, refreshing shower. Standing in the steam, I tried to calm my racing thoughts. What if he doesn't like the surprise? What if I mess up? No, no... I had to stop overthinking. He deserved something from me.

I stepped out, wrapped in a bathrobe, and went to the wardrobe. "If only he had told me earlier, I would've packed properly," I murmured, pulling clothes one after another. Aarav had packed so many outfits for me for this two-day trip, but I wanted something different.

And then... I saw it.

A long, flowy floral maxi dress with puff sleeves and a V-neckline. Soft, simple, yet elegant. It looked like something that could make him stop and stare for a second. Anaya had given me this one, and I had never worn it before. Maybe today was the perfect time.

I carefully got ready, pairing it with matching earrings and simple sandals. Standing in front of the mirror, I brushed my hair gently and looked at my reflection.

For the first time since morning, I smiled at myself. Maybe... maybe he would like this.

"Don't overthink, Siya," I whispered to my reflection. "Just be with him. That's enough."

But still, my heart kept beating faster and faster, waiting for him to come back.

The first thing I did after getting ready was message Aarav's PA. My hands were literally shivering while typing, but I had to.

"When Aarav gets free from the meeting, message me. And... please don't tell Aarav anything about this."

He replied after a minute: "Okay ma'am."

I sighed in relief, but then quickly sent another message: "I also need your help to make Aarav busy in the evening for at least 30–40 minutes."

He hesitated. "Ma'am, sir will fire me if I disturb his time..."

I bit my lip, nervous but determined. "Don't worry, nothing will happen. I promise you."

After a pause, he agreed. My heart finally relaxed a little.

Then I hurried downstairs and asked at the reception to arrange a taxi. Within ten minutes, it was ready. I gave the driver the address Trisha had sent me, and he drove me to the local stores.

I walked quickly through the market, buying all the little things I needed—the flowers, the lights, the candles.

.. everything that could turn our room into something special.

My mind kept running, What if he comes back early?

What if I can't finish this on time? But I pushed those thoughts away and focused.

It took me an hour to finish everything, and I felt the time slipping away from my hands. I told the driver to please drive fast, and thankfully, in fifteen minutes, I was back at the hotel.

The moment I entered our suite, I started arranging everything. Flowers across the table, fairy lights near the balcony, candles placed carefully... not lit yet, because I wanted them to glow at the right time.

I stood back, looking around. My heart skipped. Perfect... maybe not perfect, but at least something he would like.

Now the real problem: I had to stop Aarav from entering the room till evening. My stomach tightened at the thought. He was too smart; what if he caught me?

Just then, my phone buzzed. A message from his PA: "Sir is on the way."

And right after that, another notification—Trisha's message. "Your outfit will reach the hotel reception in 3–4 hours. Don't worry."

I placed my hand on my chest, calming my breath. Everything was falling into place. Now I just had to handle him.

I quickly dialed Aarav's number. He picked up on the second ring. His deep voice made me smile unconsciously.

"Have you slept well?" he asked softly.

"Yes..." I whispered, then quickly added, "When are you coming?"

"In 10 minutes," he replied. "Why? Do you need something?"

My mind raced. I had to keep him away from the room. "C-can we go out for lunch?" I asked, trying to sound casual.

He chuckled. "Whatever you want. I'll reach, then we'll go."

"I'm hungry... so I'll meet you at the entrance, okay?" I blurted out before I could overthink again.

He laughed lightly, teasing, "If you were so hungry, you could have just ordered." Then his voice softened. "But fine, wait for me there. I'll message you when I reach."

"Okay," I said, smiling to myself.

As the call ended, I hugged the phone to my chest. Siya, don't mess this up. Just a little more, and you'll make him happy.

I quickly checked everything one last time, then grabbed my bag. My heart thudded in nervous excitement.

This is for him. Only for him.

When his message came, I hurried downstairs. My heart was beating so fast, I don't even know why. At the entrance, I saw him—standing beside the car, hands in his pockets, just... staring at me. His gaze made my steps slower, almost hesitant.

As soon as I reached close, he pulled me toward him, his eyes still fixed on mine. "You are looking pretty, jaan," he said softly.

I felt my cheeks burn instantly. People were around, looking at us, and I quickly glanced down, embarrassed. "Avi... people are watching..." I whispered.

"So what?" he said with a smirk, tightening his hold around me. "I'm complimenting my wife."

How can I ever win against him? He always knows how to leave me speechless.

He finally let me go, opening the car door for me, his small gentlemanly gesture making my heart flutter even more. Then he walked to the driver's seat. His eyes still lingered on me before he started the car.

We drove to The Leela Palace, and when I saw the setup, I gasped softly. A table for two, right by the lake, under a traditional umbrella... the water glistening in sunlight, the mountains far away... it was breathtaking.

He looked at me, a little proud. "You like it?"

I nodded, smiling shyly. "It's beautiful."

But inside, I was thinking—it wasn't just the view. It's beautiful because I'm with him.

We sat, ordered food, and for a while... I forgot everything else. We laughed, we teased, we talked like we hadn't in a long time. He even took out his phone and clicked my pictures, capturing silly poses, little smiles... and then he pulled me beside him and clicked a couple picture too.

I knew he never liked such things before, but he was doing it—just because he knew I liked it. My heart felt full. How can he care so much?

After lunch, we walked together to Ambrai Ghat to watch the sunset.

It was close by, just a short walk. The sky was painted in orange and gold, reflecting on the water.

It was so beautiful, but even then, I kept sneaking glances at him, thinking, nothing can be more beautiful than this moment with him.

Then I quickly took out my phone under the dupatta and messaged Rohan. Now, call him. My hands trembled as I hit send.

I had already told Aarav that we would have dinner in our room because I was "tired." That would give me time to finish the surprise.

Just when we were about to sit in our car, Aarav's phone rang. He frowned at the screen, picked it up, and within seconds his expression hardened. His voice went sharp, cold—the one that makes even grown men shiver. He was scolding Rohan.

I bit my lip, guilt stabbing me. Poor Rohan... he's just helping me. I'll say sorry later.

When he cut the call, he turned to me. "Siya, I have to go... something came up. You—"

Before he could complete, I touched his arm softly. "It's okay. You finish your work... I'll wait."

He stared at me for a second, like he wanted to say something more, but then just nodded. He dropped me at the hotel first, making sure I was safely inside, and then drove away.

As I walked back to the suite, my heart whispered—Siya, now it's your turn to make him smile.

Before going upstairs, I stopped at the reception. "There must be a parcel in the name of Siya Aarav Singh Rathore," I asked softly. The lady smiled and handed me a box. My name with his... I felt my cheeks warm just seeing it.

I carried it carefully to the room, placed it on the bed, and opened it.

Two outfits.

One was a beautiful saree, soft and elegant. The other... I froze. A sleek black satin backless dress. My eyes widened.

"What the..." I whispered to myself. My face was burning red. "How can Trisha send me something like this?"

Without thinking, I dialed her number. She picked up in her usual cheerful tone, "Hey cutiepie, your outfit already reached?"

"I know," I sighed, "but why the hell did you send me this type of dress? It's too... too revealing!"

She laughed shamelessly. "Oh, come on Siya, don't be shy. It's just you and him, and you're not going out anywhere. You can wear it. And besides..." her voice dropped teasingly, "...this too will have to be taken off later."

"Shut up, Trisha!" I gasped, covering my face with my hands even though she couldn't see me. "I... I never wore something like this before."

She chuckled. "That's why I also sent the saree, but Siya, listen to me... he's your husband. If you want to give him a memorable surprise, this will be the best."

Her words made sense, but my stomach twisted with nervousness. She was right... it's just me and him. Still, my overthinking wouldn't stop. "But... how will I even wear this? I can't figure it out..."

Before I could finish, she interrupted, "I knew you'd panic, so I already arranged a beautician. She'll come and help you with everything. If you still don't feel comfortable, then wear the saree. Don't think too much, okay?"

I bit my lip, staring at the dress. My heart said yes, but my mind kept finding reasons to say no. "Okay..." I whispered finally.

Trisha's voice softened. "Trust me, Siya. He will never forget this moment." Then she cut the call.

Within fifteen minutes, the beautician arrived. She was kind, calm, and didn't laugh at my nervousness. "Don't worry, madam, I'll help you." She carefully helped me into the dress, adjusted it perfectly, and did my makeup softly but beautifully. She left my hair loose, just how Aarav likes it.

When she was done, I looked at myself in the mirror. For a second, I didn't even recognize the girl staring back. My shoulders felt bare, my back... oh god. I hugged myself, my cheeks flaming.

After thirty minutes, she left, smiling, "You look gorgeous."

The moment the door closed behind her, my phone buzzed. A message from Rohan:

"Ma'am, sir is on the way."

My heart skipped a beat. My hands grew cold. "Oh god, he's coming..."

I took a deep breath, glancing around the room with flowers, lights, and candles waiting to be lit. Then my eyes fell back on the mirror.

Siya... don't overthink now. This is for him. Just for him.
