Chapter - 88

When me and Avi entered the palace holding hands, it truly felt like a dream. The whole place had changed — every corner was glowing with lights, and the fragrance of fresh flowers filled the air. For a moment, I forgot to breathe. It felt like a fairytale... our fairytale.

As we walked inside, all eyes turned toward us. My heart started racing. I wasn't used to so much attention — especially not like this. Avi held my hand a little tighter, and somehow, that gave me the courage to keep walking beside him.

"Happy Birthday, baccha!" my bhai and bhabhi said together, smiling warmly. I hugged them one by one, trying not to tear up. Then Trisha and Karan came forward with their families, and it felt so good to see familiar faces in the middle of all the royal glitter.

After meeting everyone, Avi introduced me to some important people from his business and the royal world. I greeted them politely, still trying to understand how my simple birthday turned into something so grand.

Once everyone settled, Avi guided me to a seat and handed me a glass of juice. "Drink this," he said softly, his tone filled with care. I smiled and nodded, taking a sip.

A few moments later, he stood up and took the mic. I looked at him, confused, but the moment he spoke... my world stopped.

"I've given orders to people, shouted at people for silly mistakes..." he paused, glancing at me with a small smile, "...but this is the first time I'm nervous to speak. Because tonight isn't about the king. It's about his queen."

My breath hitched. I could feel everyone looking at me, but my eyes stayed on him.

"She taught me what peace feels like," he continued.

"When I first saw her, I didn't know she'd become my everything.

But now, I can't imagine my world without her.

So tonight, I want to give her something I should've given long ago — a celebration of her.

.. and her light in my life. My wife, who never asked for much, yet deserves everything. "

I felt a tear escape before I could stop it. How could someone so powerful speak with so much softness?

Then, before I could even process what was happening, Avi walked toward me, knelt down, and stretched his hand out. "May I have this dance, Rani Sa?"

My breath caught. For a second, I just stared at him — my husband — looking at me like I was the only one in the world. Slowly, I placed my hand in his.

He smiled, stood up, handed the mic to someone, and led me to the center of the hall. The lights dimmed. The song Saiyaara began to play.

He placed one hand around my waist and held my other hand gently in his. "Breathe," he whispered, sensing how nervous I was. I nodded, still blushing.

We started moving slowly, swaying to the rhythm.

I had never danced like this before — not in front of people, not in the open.

But with his hand on my waist, I didn't feel seen by the crowd.

I only felt seen by him. His eyes stayed locked on mine the whole time.

My feet hesitated at first, but he guided me so easily that it felt natural.

The world around us faded — no sound, no people, no lights — just the two of us.

At one point, he spun me softly, and when I came back into his arms, his hand brushed a strand of hair from my face. "You have no idea how beautiful you look right now," he murmured, his voice barely a whisper.

I looked down shyly, smiling. "You'll make me cry again," I said softly.

"I told you before, Siya... I don't like your tears," he murmured, brushing his thumb under my eye. "Not even the happy ones."

We continued dancing like that — his hand resting protectively on my back, mine holding onto his shoulder like it was the safest place in the world.

For those few minutes, it didn't matter who was watching. It didn't matter that he was a king or that I was once just Siya Rajput. All that mattered was that he was mine, and I was his.

As the song ended, he leaned closer and whispered near my ear, "Happy birthday, my angel."

And in that moment, with tears in my eyes and his arms around me, I realized — this was no dream.

This was my forever.

Everyone clapped for our dance, and I could hear their cheers, but all I felt was Avi's arms around me, safe and steady.

Then a staff member brought the cake. My breath caught—it was pastel pink and white, decorated with gold pearls, delicate pink butterflies, and a "Happy Birthday" topper. It looked dreamy, like it was made just for me.

Avi handed me the knife. My hands shook slightly as I made my wish quietly in my heart: Please, Shivji... let Avi always smile. Give him everything he wants, always. I blew out the candles, feeling a little shy, and then cut the cake.

I gave the first bite to Avi. He smiled and fed me a little in return, and then we shared bites with our family. After that, Avi told the staff to distribute the cake to everyone.

I stood there for a moment, trying to memorize every laugh, every smile around me. It was the kind of happiness I used to only imagine.

Just then, Mr. and Mrs. Rajvansh arrived.

They apologized for being late, explaining they had brought someone else with them.

They wished me a happy birthday. My heart tightened.

Forgiving them... I knew that wasn't really my choice—it was Mom's.

But still, I wasn't sure how to behave with people who had been strangers to me for twenty-two years.

I tried to act polite, to behave like family, but it felt strange and heavy on my heart.

After them, a couple entered—Mr. Vikram Rawat and his wife, Mrs. Shalini Rawat. Avi had told me about them—they were my mama and mami. They wished me happy birthday, and I softly replied, "Thank you."

Mr. Rawat bent slightly to hug me, but Avi stepped in, and he took a small step back. Placing his hand gently on my head, he said, "Be happy, beta."

I could see the mixture of guilt and happiness in his eyes. Mrs. Rawat looked genuinely happy too. Somehow, they gave me warm vibes, even though my heart was still guarded.

I looked at Avi and whispered, "I'm going to meet bhai and bhabhi now." He nodded silently, his eyes telling me he understood.

I stepped away, feeling a mix of emotions.

No one had come when I needed them most. And now, all of a sudden, everyone wanted to claim me as family.

I knew they weren't entirely wrong... but they couldn't expect me to open my heart to them immediately.

I needed time—to know them, to understand them, and to decide for myself how to let them in.

For now... I let myself just breathe, just exist in this moment, and feel the love that Avi had built around me. That... I could hold onto.

After dinner, the music was still playing softly in the hall. Everyone was busy talking, laughing, enjoying the night. I was standing near the table when Avi came to me and said quietly, "Come with me."

I looked at him in surprise. "Avi... but the party—"

He didn't let me finish. He just took my hand and said in his usual calm but commanding tone, "No more buts, Siya. Just come."

I sighed softly but smiled, letting him lead me. His hand around mine always made me feel safe, even when I had no idea what he was planning.

Maybe this night still had surprises waiting for me. With him, it always did.

Trisha and Karan had left after the cake cutting for their family trip, and bhai and bhabhi were staying with us tonight.

Avi's friend Raghav came, wished me, and left.

Anaya and Arjun had taken so many pictures with me that Avi actually glared at them once.

I could tell he didn't like sharing my time tonight.

It was funny, the way he got jealous, but adorable too.

When we reached our room, he stopped and said softly, "Open it."

I frowned a little. "What are you up to now, Avi?"

My fingers trembled on the doorknob. I didn't know what to expect — but my heart already knew it would be something only he could do.

He just smiled, so I did as he said. The moment I opened the door, I gasped softly.

The room... it looked like something out of a dream. Flowers everywhere—roses, lilies, white orchids. Balloons hung gently around, and fairy lights sparkled like stars. In the center, sparkling with lights, were the words: "Happy Birthday, My Angel."

I covered my mouth with my hand, my eyes already wet. My heart felt too full to hold all the love I was feeling.

A flower path led me forward, soft petals under my feet. At the end, I saw a bouquet of flowers and a small box beside it. I opened it carefully, and inside was a letter and another little box. My hands trembled as I opened the small box—it had two rings.

I unfolded the letter and began reading:

His handwriting wasn't perfect, but every word felt warm, honest... just like him.

I'm not good at writing letters, but today... I wanted to try.

First of all, happy birthday, meri jaan. I wish you get every happiness in the world, and I promise I'll try my best to give you all of it.

When we got married — and how we got married — we never exchanged rings. So... I guess I'm a little late in this. But I wanted to make it right today.

You must be wondering why there are only 17 gifts, not 22, on your 22nd birthday. Because the first five years of your life already had something I could never replace — Mumma and Papa's love. Those memories are yours alone.

These 17 gifts are for the years you felt alone... because now, you're not. Now, you have me.

And in that moment, every lonely birthday, every silent night of wishing, found its reason.

I know I can't change the birthdays you spent waiting, wishing, missing someone's presence — but I can promise to never let you feel that emptiness again.

I searched everywhere for something perfect to give you on your 22nd birthday... but then I realized, nothing could ever be more perfect than giving you myself.

So, Mrs. Siya Aarav Singh Rathore — will you make me yours completely?

Will you make me, in every sense, yours... baby?

My eyes filled with tears. I looked at Avi, and he was smiling softly at me, his hands trembling slightly as he held the rings. My heart swelled with love, gratitude, and disbelief all at once.

He knelt before me, holding out the ring. "May I?" he asked.

I nodded silently and held out my hand. He slid the ring onto my finger, and then he asked me to do the same for him. I carefully placed the ring on his finger, and it felt... perfect.

Without thinking, I hugged him tightly. Today... today he had given me everything I had ever missed in my life. I didn't know what to say, or how lucky I was to have this man in my life.

Avi gently broke the hug, cupping my face in his hands. His eyes searched mine. "Will you make me yours, Rani Sa?"

I nodded, tears glimmering in my eyes.

He pressed his forehead to mine and whispered, "I need words, baby."

I smiled through my tears and whispered back, "Yes, I too want to be yours, Avi... in every sense."

And as he pulled me into his arms, I rested my head against his chest again—just like before. The lights shimmered softly around us, and I thought to myself... if this is a dream, I never want to wake up.

For a few moments, neither of us moved. It felt like time had stopped — just me, him, and the glow of the fairy lights wrapping the room in a quiet kind of magic.

Then Avi cupped my face gently, his thumbs brushing away the little traces of my tears.

"No more tears, my angel. Only smiles, okay?" he said softly.

I nodded, trying to hold back another tear, and he smiled — that soft smile that always makes me feel seen.

He leaned down and kissed my forehead gently.

"You have no idea how much you mean to me, Siya.

Every time I see you smile, it feels like my world is at peace. You are my calm after every storm."

I looked up at him, my heart full, and whispered, "You know, I used to think birthdays were just normal days for me. But now... it feels like a dream. Every moment today felt like magic, Avi. You made me feel loved, really loved."

He smiled and tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear.

"You deserve every bit of it, baby. And this... is just the beginning."

I looked around the room again — the flowers, the lights, the warmth — everything seemed like it was made just for me. It almost didn't feel real. Turning back to him shyly, I asked in a soft voice, "You really did all this... just for me?"

He smirked slightly, brushing his thumb over my cheek.

"For who else would I do all this, hmm? You're my world, Siya. My angel, my queen, my everything."

I turned away a little, trying to hide the shy smile tugging at my lips, but before I could, he caught my chin gently and said, "Don't hide that smile. It's my favorite thing in the world."

My cheeks burned as I met his gaze again. He leaned closer, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Happy birthday again, my angel."

I smiled softly and said, "This is the best birthday I could ever ask for."

He smiled — that rare, gentle smile that melts every piece of me — and pressed another kiss to my forehead. My heart felt so full I could barely breathe.

Then, slowly, he began removing my jewelry — first the necklace, then my earrings, and then the bangles. Every time he touched me, his hands were careful, his eyes full of love, and after removing each piece, he placed a soft kiss where it had been — on my neck, near my ear, on my wrist.

I stood still, my breath caught somewhere between shyness and warmth. No one had ever looked at me the way he did — like I was something precious. And as his arms wrapped around me again, I realized that tonight wasn't just my birthday... it was the night my heart finally found home.

He lifted me gently into his arms and helped me sit on the bed. My heels pressed into his palms, and he removed them with the same care he had used while taking off my jewelry. A soft kiss brushed over my feet, and I shivered, my heart fluttering at the reverence in his touch.

He made me lie down, hovering above me, and his fingers traced a path along my jawline, stopping just beneath my chin. He tilted my face upward and whispered, "Can I kiss you, baby?"

I didn't speak. I just nodded, my breath already tangled with his.

Then his lips met mine—slow, tender, deliberate. Loving. Not urgent, not demanding—it was a promise, each kiss saying: You are mine. You are my world. You are everything to me. I melted into him, my hands clutching at his shoulders, afraid to move, yet not wanting to.

When he pulled back slightly, his forehead rested against mine. "Tell me to stop, and I will," he murmured.

"I won't," I whispered back. "I trust you."

His smile was faint, trembling almost, before his lips found mine again—this time softer, more certain. His hands moved down to my shoulders, tracing the edge of my saree. He hesitated, watching me, and I nodded again.

His hands moved with reverence, sliding over my saree, peeling it away slowly, deliberately.

Every touch was careful, filled with an affection I had never known before.

His lips followed mine, brushing softly over my cheeks, jawline, and neck—each kiss a silent vow.

When his lips brushed over my chest, it wasn't hunger—it was worship. Pure, unhurried love.

Every piece of clothing he removed, he handled as if it were a treasure. I felt exposed, yet safe. Vulnerable, yet cherished. Seen. Truly seen.

"I love you," he murmured, his voice rough but tender, pressing his lips to my skin. "Every part of you... I will love it, always."

I could only wrap my arms around him, letting my heartbeat sync with his, letting every fear and doubt dissolve in the warmth of his embrace.

Every inch of closeness felt like a conversation our hearts had been waiting to have — silent, unhurried, eternal.

When he made love to me, it wasn't just passion. It was a promise. Every touch, every kiss, every whispered breath told me I was his world, his forever. I gave myself to him—not out of fear, not out of obligation—but because I wanted to be with him, completely.

Hours passed like moments. Two hours of love, of closeness, of hearts speaking without words. And when I finally felt my eyelids grow heavy, I drifted toward sleep, exhausted but full.

Even then, he didn't leave me alone. He cleaned me gently, made me wear his shirt with the same care he had shown while removing them. Every touch, every motion, every kiss whispered the same thing: You are my angel. You are my everything.

When he finally held me again, I rested my forehead against his chest, breathing in his steady warmth, feeling safe in a way I had never known. My heart had finally found its home—his arms, his love, his soul.

And in that quiet intimacy, that slow, unhurried love, I realized... this was what being loved truly felt like. Complete — not because I was his, but because he made me feel whole.

I know I promised not to make you all wait this long, but a lot happened in my family — one thing after another — and my mind just couldn't focus properly on writing. Thankfully, everything is fine now.

But I'll be honest... something's been on my mind. The last chapter couldn't even cross 1k votes, and I don't know why. ??

Is it something wrong with my story? Or my writing style? Or maybe it's just not interesting anymore?

Right now, I'm not setting any vote targets — I just want to understand what went wrong. I started writing this story with so much love and emotion, and I truly want to make it better.

Still, those of you who messaged me personally — asking how I am or why I wasn't active — made me realize something: I can't give up. I owe it to you, and to this story, to finish what I started.

Thank you for always supporting me — even in silence. It means more than words.
