m standing in front of the supply cabinet with an inventory
list in one hand and an almost spiritual sense of betrayal.
Someone—and I have a very short list of suspects—has
reorganized the entire bottom shelf overnight and slapped a label
on the front of the cabinet that reads, "Better!"
"Layla."
"I didn't touch it," Layla says, not even looking up from the kit
bags she's sorting. Her denial is so unconvincing it only confirms
my suspicions.
"The tape is alphabetized by brand now instead of by size,
which is completely insane."
She shrugs. "I prefer it."
"You don't even use this cabinet!"
