Chapter 12

CHAPTER 12

Presley

T he moment I walk through the door, our eyes connect, Kyler’s intense stare penetrating my every nerve. Before I know it, I’m pressed against the wall, locked within his arms.

“You don’t play fair, Presley.” His eyes singe their way down my body. “I’m trying to behave, baby.”

But that’s just it. I don’t want him to behave. My thong is already soaked, wanting him to rip it from my body. He looks so good in his tight shirt and his low hung jeans. I want to run my hands all over him, but I keep them locked to my sides.

“You look good too, friend .” He lets out a little grumble and it has me smiling. “Do you want to show me and Ruby around?”

“Hi, Ruby!” He straightens back up, letting me go and turning toward my friend. “I’m glad you came tonight.”

I already miss being wrapped in his arms and having his undivided attention, but I’m proceeding with caution and seeing where things take us. Hoping they take us to a dark corner where I can kneel before him and drive him crazy with my tongue.

“Hi, Kyler.” Ruby waves, looking nervous. “Thank you for inviting me.”

“My pleasure, girl. And I have to say. You look really pretty tonight.” He turns toward me. “You both do.”

The blush hits her cheeks and her head tucks down, but I can see the smile on her face. It’s going to take her some time to get used to the compliments. But she better because the guys are already taking notice. I see the stares from around the room, guys checking her out. Some with a question on their faces, like they’re trying to figure out how they know her. She’s always kept to herself, hidden herself under giant clothes, so I’m guessing there’s going to be a moment of shock when they realize who she is.

Kyler takes my hand and shows us around Chase’s house. The place is huge. It’s obvious his family has some serious money. There’s even an indoor basketball court, and a two story workout room. When we walk into the library, which is filled wall to wall with books, Ruby gasps. She loves to read, so I can understand her excitement.

“Hey, you guys!”

We turn at the sound of Chase’s voice. His eyes go straight to the girl on my right, and I can see he likes her new look.

“Hey, man!” Kyler pulls me closer to his side. It feels like he’s staking his claim, but he has nothing to worry about. The only one I want to be friends with is him. “I was just showing the girls around your place.”

“Your house is amazing, Chase.” I finally capture his attention. He shakes his head like he’s trying to snap himself out of it, and turns in my direction. “I don’t ever think I’ve been in a house so big.” I smile.

“Me either,” Ruby says. “This library is incredible. What are all these books?”

Chase shrugs. “I don’t really know. My mom is the collector. Reading is her favorite pastime.”

“Mine too.” She smiles.

“Then maybe you can tell me what some of these books are?”

And I think that’s Chase wanting to spend some time with our little Ruby. I turn toward Kyler. “Can we go get something to drink while they’re touring the library?”

His nostrils flare and I think he’s got another kind of drink in mind. “Sure thing. Ruby, do you want us to bring you anything?”

She shakes her head, her stare not wavering from Chase. “I’m good.”
