Chapter 15 - Brandon
Jade looked stunning after all these years. Her body had changed, but she was still drop-dead gorgeous to me. She didn’t have the flat stomach of an eighteen-year-old, but rather that of a woman who fought to carry a child. A woman who birthed my child.
My cock ached at the thought. I’d wondered what would have happened many times with myself. The thought of Jade being pregnant and having the pregnant glow.
I cupped her breast, squeezing it. They were larger than before, softer. I rolled my fingers over her nipples, seeing them grow hard like I knew they would. I watched her squirm, her chest rising and falling rapidly. Her eyes had glazed over with that fog, and she was biting her lower lip.
I reached up, popping her lip free. I bent down, biting onto it, and she moaned softly. I kissed her deeply as I pulled at her pants. Jade was quick to help, wiggling out of the stretchy pants. I kissed her, pressing her further into the sheets.
I threw her pants onto the ground and leaned back. I took in her stretch marks that traveled lower. Jade was soaking wet, her lips bulging, and I inhaled slowly at the sight of her so bare for me.
“Fuck…”
She slowly exhaled, and I grabbed her knees, spreading her legs apart. I watched her face grow redder as I took in the sight of her spread wide. I grabbed at my pants, tugging them down, letting my cock spring free.
Jade’s eyes widened as she looked at me, her mouth popping open slightly. I smirked. “Do I look like you remember?”
She shook her head. “No, Brandon, you…” she blushed. “You’re not a young guy anymore. You’re a man.”
I didn’t think she could boost my ego, but she just did. I chuckled. “That I am, and I fuck like one too.”
I moved, sliding a finger over her folds, and found her clit. Jade’s head bucked back, and her fingers tightened on the sheets. “Oh god.”
I moved my finger slowly, watching the way she withered under my touch. I slid two fingers into her, feeling how tight she was.
I kissed her stomach, changing my fingers’ rhythm slightly, and watched her legs start to shake. I bit my hard hip, and Jade cried out. Her body tightened around my fingers, sucking me in.
Jade shook as she came, and I watched. After a moment, I slid my fingers free and stroked my cock, spreading her all over myself. The smell of her was strong, and I wanted to suffocate on it.
I hooked her knees, sliding slowly into her. Jade’s head snapped toward me, and her eyes locked on mine. I moved slowly, sliding into her inch by inch. Jade felt like home as I fully slid into her.
Jade’s breaths were pants, her hands on my shoulder. I reached down, pulling her up and seating her onto my lap. She went deeper on my cock, her eyes widened, and her lips formed an O.
We sat like that for a moment, her body tight around my cock. I kissed her softly, cupping her face.
“You feel like home,” I whispered. I knew it was selfish, but I wanted this. I wanted us.
I’d slept with only a handful of women over the years, and none of them were her. Jade was my other half, whether she knew it or not. I knew it the second I was in her presence that I would never find someone like her.
“Really?” she asked, looking surprised at me.
I nodded my head, cupping the back of her head. “You have always felt like home, Jade.”
I kissed her softly. I gripped her hips, moving her slowly. Jade moaned as I ground into her. It was slow at first, a soft rhythm, but it quickened. I gripped her hips with a painful grip and jerked up into her.
Jade was gasping for air, her nails digging into my skin. I knew she would leave a mark, and I wanted more.
I flipped her, shoving her back against the bed and pulled her knees to my shoulder, thrusting deeper into her. Jade’s gasp grew louder, her mouth wide as she cried out. I felt her tighten around my cock, and hit my release. I slid deep into her, feeling myself release into her.
Jade sank into the sheets, panting for air. Her arms dropped, and she lay there like she’d been through the wringer.
I pulled myself up slowly, looking at her. I reached a hand up, moving some of her hair from her face. She looked at me softly, like she had with Ilsa, and I suddenly couldn’t breathe. She was giving me the look I had ached for.
I pulled her into a tight embrace, my entire body shaking. I couldn’t lose her. I couldn’t lose this.
“Brandon, what’s wrong? Shit, did I hurt your shoulder?”
I shook my head. “No. You haven’t hurt me.” If anything, she’s given me more of a reason to fight.
We lay there for a few moments before getting dressed. I pulled my pants on and went to check if we were clear to leave. I knew we needed to get back to town, and Jade was nervous to get Ilsa.
“Are we good to go?” she asked, tugging on her shoes.
I nodded as I offered her a hand. We moved slowly, slipping out of the bunker to the surface. I surveyed the area, stopping every few feet to listen. We moved quietly, neither of us talking as we did.
Once we returned to the training ground, I noticed that most of the people had left. But Kaleb, Asher, and Westley were sitting by the picnic table, and they all looked at us when we emerged.
“Where the hell have you been!?” Kaleb asked, looking pissed. “We’ve been worried sick for hours!”
“How long have we been gone?” I asked as I grabbed my phone off the table. It was a little after five now.
“We ran into problems,” Jade whispered.
All of the guys looked at me with wide eyes, and I nodded. “I told her. We ran into a hybrid when I found her in the woods with Nora.”
“Are you hurt?” Kaleb asked her, his hands reaching out and quickly looking her over.
“I’m fine; he was the one who was hurt.” Jade pointed toward me, and the guys looked at me.
“I’m fine. I healed. We hid in the bunker for a while, but we need to tell everyone about what’s happening now. We don’t have a choice. It’s getting close.”
Kaleb ran his hand through his hair. “Are you sure they are ready for the truth?”
“We don’t have a choice. If we want to keep this place standing, we need to.”
“They are having a council meeting in an hour,” Asher said. “Most of the town will be there.”
I nodded, knowing it was the best time. If there was one, I knew more were going to be following. We needed to inform everyone about what was happening. No more secrets.
I glanced at Jade, who was quiet. I could see she was thinking. Her mind was probably in twenty different places. Sex probably didn’t help, but that was something we could discuss after we told the town the truth.
Forty minutes later, I stood nervously at the podium of the council room. It was packed with people. Everyone looked confused at what I was doing there since it was originally supposed to be run by my father for the evening.
“I want to thank everyone for coming. There has been a change to the agenda for this evening, which is why I’m up here instead of my father.”
My father sat brooding in his chair. His arms were crossed as he scowled at me with irritation and frustration.
I cleared my throat. “You all have been wondering why I came back to Belrose, and why the sudden need to start training and working on your builds and physics. I’ve stated that it was needed, which is true, but the entire story is that a new problem is on the horizon that none of you were aware of.
There is a new species out there that we call hybrids.
They are coming here and planning to take over this pack. ”
The space suddenly fell silent. My father started to laugh as he pulled himself up. “You expect us to believe that? And even if it were true, you know that shifters are stronger than anything out there.”
“The hybrids are part-shifter. Part shifter and part vampire. They are a mix of the two. We have worked with them for several years and have been tracking them. This is not something I say lightly.”
My father snorted as he shook his head. “This is ludicrous, Brandon! You don’t get to come in here and spew utter nonsense like this. This is not how an Alpha runs his pack.”
“It’s the truth,” I snapped. “And if you hadn’t run this pack into the ground, maybe they would be targeting this place. You didn’t do any training, you didn’t keep up on watching your borders, and now you have a monster at your doorstep. I am here trying to clean up your mess.”
Suddenly, the room erupted in loud noise. Everyone was yelling questions about what to do and where they could hide. People argued with each other, some saying we needed to hold out ground, while others stated we needed to hide.
I slammed my fist onto the podium, and the room fell quiet. “I am your Alpha, and I am taking charge. As long as you follow my orders, everything will be fine.”
“You can’t promise that,” my father snapped. “You think you can come in here, make some orders, and act like you know what you’re doing.”
I narrowed my eyes, having had enough of his constant downgrading.
“I ran a team of highly trained special ops agents for over two years. I’ve taken down several hybrids, and I’ve come across many more.
I’ve managed to turn your crap fest of soldiers into actual soldiers, so trust me when I say that you have no say in what goes on with this pack now or in the future.
I am the Alpha, and I make the decisions. ”
My father had questioned if I would stay, and I was making a point. I looked at everyone else. “You want this place to stay standing, and you want them to lose, then you will fight.”
It took two hours before I was able to leave. Everyone had questions. People were unsure of what to do and if they could even go home. I had to set up patrols around the woods and ensured that everyone knew to inform me if anything happened.
It was late when I got home. Jade was sitting on the couch; the lamp next to her was on, while the rest of the house was dark. I shut the door softly, and she looked up from her phone at me.
“Long night?” she asked, softly.
I nodded. “But it’s under control.” I walked toward her, taking her in. She was wearing a baggy shirt, and a fluffy blanket was thrown over her lap.
She looked down at her phone, and I could see her hands were shaking slightly. She chewed on her lower lip. She moved the blanket, pulling it tighter to her. “Do you think they will come and try to take over the pack?”
I nodded. “Yes.”
“And do you think we stand a chance?”
I nodded. “Everyone has done well in training. There is a good chance.”
“A good chance?” Her eyebrows went up. “That’s not comforting.”
I walked closer. “You know I would never let anything happen to you or Ilsa.”
She swallowed, her gaze dropping to her hands. “I know that. But what about everyone else? This is our home.”
“I’m working hard to ensure that everyone is safe.”
I walked closer, sitting down on the couch. I reached for her hand, tightly gripping it. “I meant what I said, Jade. I’m not going anywhere.”
Jade frowned. “I want to believe that, Brandon, but right now…I can’t do this.” She waved her hand between us. “What happened before…I can’t…” She looked away from me, looking toward the stairs. “A lot is going on, and this is complicated. With everything going on…”
I was disappointed in hearing her words, but I understood. Everything that happened tonight only made this already complicated relationship that much more complicated. We also needed to focus on protecting the pack rather than trying to figure our relationship out.
“I’ll wait,” I stated, and she frowned.
“You don’t know that I’ll come around.”
I didn’t. But I wasn’t giving up. I’d already lost three years with her and the start of my daughter’s life. I wasn’t losing anymore.
“I meant what I said. I’m staying here. After this is all done, I’m still Alpha, and I’m still going to be here. I’m not leaving. I’m not going anywhere. I’m here for you and Ilsa.”
She stared at me for a moment, her face blank. She looked down at her phone. “What’s the next step?”
“Border control,” I said. “Monitoring and waiting.” I took in her eyes, seeing that she had bags under them. I could imagine she was probably exhausted after everything today.
“Why don’t you go to bed?”
She nodded her head, pulling herself up. She tossed the blanket onto the couch but paused when she stopped in front of me. She turned, looking hurt. “Are you mad that I’m not ready for anything more than this?”
I smiled and shook my head. “I could never be mad at you for being cautious, Jade. You have to do what you think is best, and I respect that.”
She pulled her lips into a thin line and nodded before she headed up the stairs. I watched her until she disappeared.
My mind thought about the bunker and how her voice echoed around us. I thought of her hands tight on my shoulder, my cock deep in her.
I knew this wasn’t the end, just the beginning.
