Chapter 11 #3

With a groan, Cash slid his cock into her, inch by excruciatingly slow inch. They both moaned at the sensation, at the perfect, exquisite pleasure of becoming one. Athena could feel her body stretching to accommodate him, could feel the delicious friction as he filled her completely.

Cash began to thrust into her, his hips moving in a slow, steady rhythm.

He held her legs open, his hands gripping her ankles, his eyes locked on her face, watching her every expression, every gasp, every moan.

Athena could feel the pleasure building already, her body coiling tighter and tighter with each thrust.

“You’re so beautiful, Athena,” Cash murmured, his voice a soft pant. “So perfect. So tight and wet and mine.”

His words sent another shock of pleasure through her. She loved when he talked like this, loved the dirty words, the possessiveness, the raw, unbridled need. She could feel his thrusts increasing, his hips moving faster, harder, pinning her to the mattress with each powerful stroke.

“Cash,” she panted, her hands gripping the bedsheets, her body writhing beneath him. “Cash, I am… I am close.”

He growled, a low, feral sound. His hand released one of her ankles, reaching between them, his thumb finding her clitoris unerringly. He pressed against it, circling it in time with his thrusts, and Athena cried out, her body convulsing as her orgasm hit her.

Not to be left behind, Cash roared, a wordless sound of triumph and pleasure, as he spilled into her, his body jerking with each pulse of his release.

He thrust into her again and again, riding out her orgasm, drawing out his own, until finally, finally, he collapsed against her, his body slick with sweat, his breath coming in ragged gasps which matched hers.

Athena wrapped her arms around him, holding him close as they both shook with the aftershocks of their pleasure. Cash’s face was buried in her neck, his breath hot against her skin, his heart pounding against hers.

After long moments, or perhaps hours—time seemed to have lost all meaning—Cash finally lifted his head, his eyes meeting hers. What she saw there took her breath away. Love, pure and simple and overwhelming.

“I love you, Athena,” he murmured, his voice soft and sincere. “Forever.”

Athena’s heart fluttered in her chest. “And I love ye, Cash,” she whispered back. “Forever and always.”

Cash smiled, a soft, sweet smile that was at odds with the wild, passionate lovemaking they’d just shared. He brushed a tender kiss against her lips, then rolled them both so that they were lying on their sides, face to face.

His hands stroked her body gently, almost reverently, as if she were something precious and breakable. Athena sighed into his touch, her body languid and sated, but still humming with pleasure.

“I cannae believe ye are mine,” she whispered, her fingers tracing the line of his jaw, the curve of his lips. “All mine.”

Cash captured her fingers in his hand, pressing a kiss to her fingertips. “All yours,” he agreed. “Every inch of me. Every part of me. I’m yours, Athena. Now and forever.”

Athena felt a warmth spread through her, a contentment and joy that she’d never known before. This man, this wonderful, amazing man, was hers. Hers to love, hers to cherish, hers to share her life with. It was almost too much to believe.

“I love you, wife.”

“Ye know,” she said, a playful smile tugging at her lips. “I dinnae think I’ll ever get tired of hearing ye say that.”

Cash chuckled, a low, warm sound that sent shivers down her spine. “Good,” he said. “Because I plan on saying it a lot. Every day for the rest of our lives.”

Athena’s smile widened, her heart swelling with love and happiness. “I like the sound of that,” she said.

Cash’s hand cupped her cheek, his thumb brushing gently against her skin. “I’m glad,” he murmured. “Because I mean it. I love you, Athena. I love you more than I can say, more than I can show you. But I promise you this—I’m going to spend the rest of my life trying.”

She twisted her head to press a kiss to his palm. “Ye say the most perfect things, Cash.”

He didn’t respond to her compliment, and his gaze was intent.

“I want to make you laugh and smile and feel loved every day for the rest of our lives. I want to be the reason you wake up with a smile on your face and go to sleep with one on your lips. I want to be your heart, Athena. As you are mine.”

Athena felt her heart flutter at his words, her stomach filling with butterflies. “Cash,” she whispered, her voice choked with emotion. “Ye already are. Ye already are my heart.”

Cash’s smile was blinding, his eyes shining with love and happiness. He pulled her into his arms, holding her close, his body wrapped around hers protectively, lovingly. Athena sighed, snuggling into his embrace, feeling safe and cherished and loved.

“Forever, Athena,” Cash murmured, pressing a kiss to her hair. “You and me and our sons, forever.”

Athena smiled, her eyes drifting closed, her body warm and content in his arms. “Forever,” she agreed. And as she drifted off to sleep, safe and warm in her husband’s arms, she knew that forever with Cash would be everything she’d ever wanted and more.

It would be perfect. Just like him. Just like them. Just like their love.

Forever.
