Chapter 9 This Is My Home

My face turned pale. The urge to vomit grew stronger.

I was too embarrassed to say anything, so I endured it.

When the car finally stopped, relief washed over me.

I opened the door and staggered out.

Before I could throw up, I froze.

This was not my apartment complex at all. It was completely unfamiliar.

I turned to look at Lanxi who had gotten out of the car. My voice was hoarse. "Where is this?"

The breeze lifted her skirt. Every step she took looked light.

She steadied my swaying body and said softly, "This is my home."

"Ah?"

I sounded shocked. "Why did you bring me here?"

"To rest." Lanxi's reason was clear. "I did not know your exact address, so I brought you to my house."

"You did not ask me."

"I thought you were asleep, so I did not disturb you."

"Fine."

After all, Lanxi was thinking of me.

More importantly, I could not argue anymore. I really needed to vomit.
