Chapter 20 Lanxi’s Visit
Lanxi arrived quickly.
She knocked on the door in less than half an hour.
Shen Yizheng opened the door for her. Standing outside, Lanxi looked into the living room.
"Is Baoying home?"
"Yes."
"That's good."
"What?" Shen Yizheng frowned slightly. Wasn't she here to see him?
"I mean, it's better that Baoying is home so she won't misunderstand."
I heard Lanxi's voice from the bedroom. I quickly applied lipstick, opened the door, and walked out.
"Lanxi."
I greeted her.
"Baoying." Lanxi's gaze fell on me. She praised generously, "You look so beautiful today."
"Really?"
Lanxi completely ignored Shen Yizheng and walked up to me in two steps.
She lifted her hand and tucked my loose hair behind my ear. "Really. You must believe me."
I smiled from the bottom of my heart. Nothing made me happier than being praised by another girl.
"Have you two eaten?"
Lanxi turned to look at Shen Yizheng.
"Not yet."
Shen Yizheng's lips curved up in a cheap smile.
"Then go cook."
Shen Yizheng's smile froze instantly.
Lanxi spoke in her softest tone, "I know you can cook. I want to eat."
Shen Yizheng had no way out. He glanced at me and said, "Okay."
When Shen Yizheng walked away, Lanxi raised her phone with a smile. "Let's continue watching the horror movie we didn't finish that day."
