Chapter 24 Breaking Point
After sending Lanxi off, Shen Yizheng let out a heavy sigh of relief.
He turned to me. “What were you and Lanxi talking about while I was cooking?”
“Nothing much.”
Shen Yizheng clearly didn’t believe me. Seeing my dazed look, he demanded, “Then what are you thinking about?”
“Thinking about Lanxi.”
The words slipped out before I realized how wrong they sounded.
I looked up at Shen Yizheng and saw his brows tightly furrowed. “Why are you thinking about her?”
“You think about her all the time,” I shrugged. “Can’t I think about her too?”
The logic left Shen Yizheng speechless for a moment.
He opened his mouth, then gave up. “You’re sick.”
I thought I really was sick.
Otherwise, why would I miss her after she left?
Why did I feel secretly happy when she told me she didn’t like men?
“Shen Yizheng.”
I called his full name.
“What?”
“We’re breaking up.”
