Chapter 21
I sat behind my office desk, brooding. It had been about two weeks since Jela left, and I was in my feelings bad.
I thought about all the volatile shit I was going to do to her once I saw her ass again.
I had no idea what would possess her to leave—actually, I did know what possessed her stupid ass.
Truce.
Ever since that nigga set foot back in the city, everybody had lost their damn minds.
I could now see what Senior was talking about.
Everybody groveled at that motherfucker’s feet, like he was God.
I didn’t see it before, because his ass was a manipulative bitch.
Disguising himself as the good brother when all he ever did was gloat and judge me.
I only offered him Jela to test him. I saw the way he was looking at her on Thanksgiving; even a blind man could see the fucking lust in his eyes. I didn’t blame him either. Jela was a bad bitch with a killer body, even after she had my baby.
I knew fucking with her fine ass was a mistake, but I couldn’t resist. Watching her at the beach in her bikini, I could see the innocence she possessed.
It was obvious that she was easy to influence and control.
When I met her moms and sister, I wanted to fuck them hoes, too, but them hoes had shitty attitudes.
I couldn’t stand a bitch with too much confidence and boldness, thinking they were better than somebody.
When Jela started acting like she was hot shit, I brought her ass back down to earth.
Right after she gave me her virginity, that’s when I began plotting.
I lied and manipulated her to believe her people and her bald-headed friends were trying to tear us apart, and she believed me, with her dumbass.
Once I got her away from those bitches, she was at my mercy from that point on.
I swear, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on that hoe. I was going to get my daughter from her tacky ass and make her wish she had never left this house.
But first, business.
I watched the cameras as Whitney, Kelly, and Tasia pulled into my driveway. I pressed the button for the intercom.
“Brittany, open the door, and y’all come up to my office.”
“Okay, babe,” she replied.
Brittany’s ass thought she was off the hook with carrying my baby. I was about to shut all that shit down. I didn’t want any more kids. Scottlyn was the only baby I wanted and needed.
A minute later, my bitches entered the office and sat on the couch together. Brittany came around and sat on my lap, but I pushed her ass off of me. This wasn’t that. Their asses were summoned here on business, and I needed everyone’s attention without the bullshit.
“What is this about?” Brittany asked, irritated.
I kissed my teeth. “First of all, get rid of the attitude before I make your ass leave. This is about business.”
“Okay, but what the fuck you need these bitches for?”
“Girl, get the fuck over it. We all fucking him, so fall in line or get the fuck on. You the only one that always got a fucking problem,” Tasia told her, waving her off.
“Because I’m all the fuck he needs.” Brittany rolled her eyes at the three women before looking back at me as if I owed her an explanation.
“Apparently not,” Kelly countered.
“Aye, y’all shut the fuck up! I didn’t invite y’all here to argue about me.”
“Why are we here?” Whitney asked.
“I need y’all to ride with me to Detroit to find Jela and my baby. I’ve been looking all over Muskegon for that bitch, and I ain’t come up on her yet. I know she must’ve gone back home because ain’t no other options.”
“I ain’t doing that!” Brittany blurted. “What is it about this bitch that you can’t let go of?”
“That bitch has my fucking daughter. Get out ya feelings, Brittany. This jealous shit you on ain’t cute, and it makes me not want to be with you at all.”
Rolling her eyes again, she huffed. “Whatever.”
“Now, as the fuck I was saying… I need y’all to roll with me, and when we find that bitch, I want y’all to beat the fuck out of her tacky ass. Nothing is off limits.”
Kelly smirked. “Sign me up! I ain’t had a good fight in a minute.”
“It won’t be a fight. It’ll be her getting her ass beat. We’re leaving soon, so be ready. Now, get naked and meet me in the bedroom.”
I stood from my seat and headed out of the room as they all began to undress.
I pulled up to my moms crib and waited. I had a bone to pick with her ass because she had been dodging my fucking calls since Jela, Truce, and Neveah disappeared. Whenever I pulled up on her, Uncle Kari or Aunt LaShaun would say she wasn’t home.
I knew she was here today, though.
I’d been sitting outside the house waiting for her ass to emerge. As soon as I saw her pull her car into the garage, I got out and hurried up the driveway. I watched her get out and take some groceries out of the back, just humming and thinking shit was sweet.
“What's up, Ma?”
She jumped and grabbed her chest. “Boy! You scared me.”
“Yeah… You’ve always been a scaredy-cat.” I smirked at her.
She looked at me and frowned. “What do you want, Damien?”
“You know what the fuck I want. That’s why ya raggedy, wig-wearing ass been dodging me. I’m telling you now, Delilah, if you don’t tell me where my girl and my baby are, I’m going to remind you of what the fuck I’m capable of.”
“I don’t know where they are, Damien…”
“Call your son.”
“Have you taken your meds?” She looked at me with weary eyes, and I saw red.
“Bitch, call him!”
I backhanded her ass, and she fell back into the car, crying and holding her face. She scrambled to get her phone out before dialing Truce’s number.
“Put it on the speaker and don’t let on that anything is wrong or I’m going to shoot your dumb ass.”
I slid my gun from my waistband. I was tired of playing with all of their asses. I would shoot the shit out of her, then cry at her funeral as if I didn’t know jack shit about it. She cleared her tears and straightened her spine while the phone rang.
“Hey, Ma. Merry Christmas.”
That ho-ass nigga picked up without a care in the world.
“Merry Christmas, baby. Are you enjoying your holiday?”
“I am. I only got another week, then it’s back to work for me, so I’m enjoying all my free time.” He chuckled.
Bitch-ass nigga didn’t know nothing about no damn work.
My mom shifted her eyes to me and replied, “That’s good, baby. I wanted to ask you something.”
“Anything, beautiful.”
“Do you know where Jela and Scottlyn are? I’ve been trying to reach her, but she hasn’t been answering my calls. I miss my little chunky nugget.”
The line was silent for about five seconds before his punk-ass responded, “Nah, Ma… I don’t. And honestly, wherever they are, I hope they stay far away. Your son is reckless and will get them killed, Ma. That’s if he doesn’t do it himself.”
I snatched the phone from her, screaming into the receiver. “I thought you loved me, Tru. I thought you’d never be the one to switch up on me, but I see you ain’t shit but another motherfucka to fail me.
“I know you got Jela, and when I find out you do, I’m going to slice your big ass like a pig and feed you to her. Then I’m going to break every bone in that bitch’s body before I turn her brains into noodles.”
Truce breathed into the phone, the silence fucking with my patience. Before I could yell out for the nigga to say something, he sighed. “Ma, it’s time to use that insurance money Daddy left you. I’m sorry for your loss.”
Truce hung up, and I chuckled. Yanking Delilah from the car, I slammed her into the back door as she cried.
“You’re fucking evil!” she screamed at me. “I should have taken you to that hospital and left you there!”
“Call me Cain. You gon’ see just how evil I can be when I kill your precious Abel.”
I mashed my lips into hers, then released her. “I love you, Mama.”
I punched her in the face, knocking her out cold, then hurried back to my whip.
It was time to end this shit. Jela and Truce were going first, then Law’s bitch ass was next.
I was tired of these motherfuckers playing with me.
I was going to lie low for a while to make them comfortable, then I’d strike.
I was tired of people playing with me like I wasn’t that nigga that would send them to hell.
All of them were about to feel the wrath of a menace.
