CHAPTER 35
It has turned from night to morning.Jagdish has tried to find Mayil everywhere, but he cannot find her anywhere. The police haven't filed a complaint of kidnapping for 24 hours yet, but Jagdish is a well-known name, so they are definitely helping him.
His messy hair, bent shoulders, and tired face should show how much he is worried for his daughter. Sweta is at home and waiting for her daughter. But Jagdish is neither picking up her phone nor giving her any kind of proper answer to her questions.
Jagdish's heartbeat has increased very much with passing time. He is currently sitting in the police station, trying to explain his point to the police.
"She is just a minor... She is 17, sir, and I am sure she will never take a step like this; she is not running away with her boyfriend, as you say. "
"Sir, just look at the video... She is willing to go with a boy, and that couple is very smart. Look, he parked the car in the dark, and he stood near the car so that no one could even see his face. You can see it comfortably in the CCTV footage. Your daughter has gone with him. I agree that she is only 17 years old, so it will be considered a case of kidnapping. But you see, well, the girl has gone of her own free will."
Jagdish's heart is not ready to accept that his MAHI likes someone, and all of a sudden she decides that she will go with him. He knows his daughter very well. He has given so much freedom to his daughter that she can comfortably sit with him and Shweta and speak her heart to them. She can't do this; she can say it with great confidence by shouting at the whole world. But here everyone is pointing fingers at his upbringing and his daughter.
The police have seized CCTV footage of the same club, in which Mayil is coming out very comfortably without any staggering steps and a boy is standing outside. She immediately goes to him, whose face and number of the car are not visible all because of the darkness, and she hugs him and immediately leaves with him.
Jagdish has rewinded this CCTV footage many times, but not once did he feel that Mayil did not go of her own free will, and his heart is not ready to believe that his daughter ran away like this.
"Sir, I am sure my daughter is kidnapped."
The police officer sitting in front is much older than Jagdish Ji. He is also understanding Jagdish's condition very comfortably and has also checked the CCTV footage very well. He says this while explaining it to Jagdish.
"Sir, every year many fathers like you sit in front of me who blindly believe in their children, and their children suddenly betray them and go with the boys and girls they love. These children of today's era cannot understand our pain. You have to admit that your daughter has run away with her lover."
"No, she is not... There is no doubt that someone kidnapped her. My baby girl is only 17 years old. She didn't have many friends. We were her best friends. She used to tell us everything. She never mentioned anything about a boy. I can't believe any guy in her life. You do the investigation; don't talk nonsense about my daughter. I have full faith in her and believe that something bad has happened to her. Find her before anything bad happens to her. I join my hands in front of you... I request that you and I fall to your feet... Just let me bring my baby girl safely, please."
The news has spread all around in the media that Jagdish Kaushik's 17-year-old daughter has run away overnight with one of her lovers.
But Jagdish doesn't care much about this fake news because he trusts her daughter more than anyone. He just wants his daughter safe and sound. Other than that, he doesn't know anything. He knows that this news can reach Shweta at any time. That is why he has disconnected all the connections to the TV and removed newspapers by ordering the servants of his house.
He knows that he will have to go home by all means because, by now, Shweta must have worsened her condition. He knows that he has to go to find Mayil, but he cannot leave his friend alone at the moment.
As soon as the car stops in the parking lot. Shweta comes outside barefoot near his car and starts looking for Mayil in the car. She doesn't see her daughter in her car; she immediately tells Jagdish, shaking him badly.
"Where is my daughter? Jaggi answered me, "Where is my daughter?"
Jagdish holds Shweta's shoulders, looks at her, closes his eyes, and tells her.
"Mayil is kidnapped."
.
.
.
The rays of the sun start coming on Mayil's face, due to which her sleep is getting disturbed a lot. Her head is a bit heavy, but she does not want to open her eyes at all. She tries to stop the sunrays with her hands from waking herself up and says softly.
"Mom, please pull the curtain."
But neither her mother's voice is there, nor has anyone heard her words. She opens her eyes with great difficulty. First of all, the rays of the sun have to enter her eyes, due to which she closes her eyes again.
"Mom… "
But slowly, as she starts to remember the incident of last night—how she was going outside while managing herself—it seems to her that her head suddenly started spinning so much that she must have collided with someone, and suddenly someone put a handkerchief on her nose. After that, she doesn't remember anything.
She quickly gets up and looks around in terror. She is in a room. There is nothing there except the bed in which she was sleeping. She immediately gets up from the bed and looks around her even more thoroughly. There is no one there, and there is no sound of any kind.
Looking at the door, she immediately runs towards it, and as soon as she twists the knob, the door opens immediately. She doesn't even understand what happened. If someone has kidnapped her and brought her here, then how did he leave this door open like this?
She looks outside and thinks there might be someone, but there is no one there. She is apprehensive that there will be someone outside, so while protecting herself, she starts coming out from there in very slow steps. But there is no one there; that house is completely empty, due to which he is getting scared a lot.
"Is anyone here?"
But her voice reverberates in that house very fast and comes back to her, due to which she gets scared by her voice, she softly says.
"Mom… "
But this word was spoken softly and also started resonating very fast. She feels as if she is suddenly panicking with herself.
She comes out running fast, but the loud tapping sound of her steps of escape are also loudly echoing there. She is very nervous, but as soon as she comes running outside, she puts both her hands on her mouth, and tears start flowing from her eyes. She is looking around with her eyes widening.
"Is anyone here?"
"Hello..."
"Who has brought me here?"
But there is no one there to answer. She turns and looks toward the house. From where she has just come out, it's a huge mansion that's completely empty. Then she turns and looks at the other side. There is only water there. As far as she is running her eyes, she sees only water.
She runs towards that water, runs from here to there, and tries to find any person or anything else there. But there is nothing there that is making her even more nervous to see her, and only tears are flowing from her eyes.
She is unable to understand anything, nor is she remembering anything else, due to which she can understand that, after all that has happened to her, she is all alone here. She has guessed that she is currently on an island. But she is all alone in the empty, large palatial mansion on this island, and she does not see any source of escape from far and wide. Because she knows how to swim but there are very strong iron fences everywhere which are very difficult to cross to reach the other side.
"Papa, where are you?"
AUTHOR'S POV
His eyes are closed, and he is sitting on the sofa, drenched in sweat. His feet are kept in a very comfortable position on the table in front of him. Ayaan is sitting beside him, looking at him to say something. The Indian news channel is broadcast in front, which is right now on full volume.
"Famous businessman Jagdish Kaushik's daughter has suddenly disappeared from the club along with her boyfriend. According to the footage from the club, it has become very clear that she may have eloped with her boyfriend, but Jagdish Kaushik says that his daughter cannot do this. "
"Police and media No one can deny that whatever is seen in the CCTV footage is wrong, but it is difficult for a father to believe that his daughter has run away like this. But what is the truth?. It is even being said that maybe she had become pregnant with her boyfriend, or Jagdish Kaushik would not have said yes to getting both of them married. That is why she decided to run away in this way. Mr.Jagdish Kaushik is here. "
Mrityunjay immediately opens his eyes and sits upright, resting his elbows on both his knees, resting his face well on his hands, and starts looking at Jagdish's face.
" Sir… You look very upset, but why don't you just accept that your daughter has run away? ..."
"Because she is not... and stop saying rubbish. She is in danger, and you all are saying shit here. "
Mrityunjay smirks at his restlessness and feels the comfort that he has been searching for since he was young. He turns off the TV and turns on the monitor.
Start searching for Mayil in every camera, and he finds her in no time; she is sitting in a corner, curled into a ball, and crying. Ayaan also looks at her and says,
"This girl hasn't eaten anything since last night. It's been 24 hours; not even a grain has gone into this girl's stomach.
"When hunger becomes unbearable, she will also eat her food and learn to live in the same way."
"Sir, this girl is all alone on the island. For security, huge enclosures have been put up there. But think wisely: How will this girl be the only one on such a big island? This girl..."
"Do you like this girl?"
"No…""
"Then shut up... She will manage herself. Do you understand that she is Jagdish's daughter, and this is her biggest mistake? And she has to pay for this."
He quickly leaves the room. Ayaan looks at the monitor, his heart twitching at her condition, but he immediately maintains his hard expression and leaves to follow him.
