Chapter 2 Blaine

Chapter two

Blaine

Walking over to the bar slowly, I ordered a shot of whiskey while blatantly eavesdropping on the conversation being held at the next table over...

“Pull up a chair, gorgeous. You know we love your company,” some creep slurred at her.

This felt weird. I wasn't stalker material. That was more of Killian's type of vibe, but... this woman made me feel… jittery…like a fucking horny teenage boy.

She simply smiled, nonchalantly pulling herself away from the man's wandering hands. She kept her uncomfortableness at a minimum as she took the hundred-dollar bill from the man while turning his creepy ass down with class...

Smart girl... good girl.

No! No, Blaine… you haven't even said a word to the woman. Pull yourself together. You run an empire, for Christ's sake.

Maybe Kiki was right. I do have a problem… but I'll have to deal with my failures in life later.

She came to the bar, set her tray down, and started counting bills. I slid in next to her, placing my glass on the counter.

“Seems you wandered from your flock of businessmen,” she said without looking up. Her voice was soft, too soft. It shot straight to my fucking dick.

Hold it together… Hold it together.

"Seems I have. Though, there's nothing too interesting over there, to be quite honest.”

She finally looked at me, and my mouth went dry. Goddamn, her eyes were beautiful.

"And you found something more interesting over here?”

"I sure did, Sunshine." The nickname slipped out before I could stop it as I stared into her eyes. Who the fuck am I...? Why was that the first thing that came out of my mouth?

She bit her lip. "Sunshine. That's cute. "

Cute? I’m Blaine fucking Porter, not some damn puppy, I tried to convince myself, but my chest felt warm… too fucking warm.

What is this woman doing to me?

“You’re quite the hustler,” I said, genuinely impressed.

She shrugged, casual. “I gotta make money somehow. And I’m not getting up on stage to strip, no matter how much those girls rake in.”

I nodded, ignoring the instant image of her dancing for me. Dangerous thought.

“Even from a helpless old man,” I added, “I’m impressed.”

Her brow arched. “If I told you he tried to grab my ass, would you change your answer?”

I shrugged, sipping my drink. “I’m impressed you didn’t take more. Gotta let a man finish his sentence, Sunshine.”

That earned me a giggle, soft and unguarded.

“You’re funny,” she said with a smile.

I grinned. “I’m a bit of a jokester. Not much of a clown, though.”

“Please make that your catchphrase.” She laughed, and I chuckled with her.

“Maybe I will.”

Her eyes flicked to the clock before she snagged the shot glass from my hand. “My shift’s over,” she murmured, downing the rest.

I tilted my head, stepping closer. “Oh really, Sunshine?”

She nodded, looking up at me with faux innocence that made my blood heat. Fuck… she's gonna make me snap in a second.

“You know… that was my drink.”

"You're rich. I'm sure you'll live," she said, shrugging.

I pushed my sleeves up slightly as I eyed her, slowly caging her into the bar with my hands on either side of the counter. She looked unfazed as she continued "innocently" looking up.

“You’re not wrong,” I rasped. “Only problem is… I’m still thirsty.”

“Seems like a personal problem,” she shot back, eyes glinting. “What are you gonna do about it, Mr. Billionaire?”

We stood there… a few seconds, maybe—but it felt like hours, her gaze locked on mine, both of us stealing glances at each other’s mouths. I started to pull back, before I went too far. I wanted to give her the choice.

But she made it for me.

Her fingers curled in my collar, yanking me down into a kiss that was all fire and no hesitation. I groaned, sliding my hands to her hips, pulling her flush against me as she deepened it.

Pulling her in closer by the waist, I squeezed her hips, her arms looped tight around my neck. When she pulled back, she was smiling like she’d just won.

“Did that quench your thirst?” she teased with fake pity.

I ran my thumb across her bottom lip, smirking. “Not even close, baby.”

“Sorry to hear that.”

“Mm. I know something that will.”

Her brow lifted. “Oh? And what’s that?”

“You and me. Tonight. In an expensive hotel room I know your spoiled little ass will love.”

“Who says I like expensive things?” she challenged, tilting her head.

I chuckled darkly, easing her back against the counter, my hands firm on her waist. “I say you do. And I bet you love it even more when someone spoils you rotten… don’t you?”

She didn’t answer. Just toyed with my collar, gazing up at me.

And she didn’t need to. Her silence was an answer in itself.

“My car’s out front. Grab your things.” I leaned close, whispering against her mouth. “Meet me there.”

Wordlessly, she slipped away toward the back. When I returned to the table, the idiots in suits were still muttering.

“How the fuck does he do it?” one groaned.

Killian just shook his head, sipping his whiskey. The fucker knew he was bound to lose.

I snapped my fingers, grabbing my things. “Quickly now. Seven of you here so I’d better see seventy grand in the next twenty-four hours.”

Their groans followed me out, but I didn’t care. Because she was waiting for me.

I met her at the side door, arms folded, biting her lip as nervousness creeped up her throat.

I approached her slowly.

"I've never had a one-night stand before," she muttered, and I narrowed my eyes internally.

Who the hell said it'd be one night?

“If you don’t feel comfortable, Sunshine, we can go our separate ways,” I assured her, and I meant it.

She nodded her head but didn't move.

“Unless…” I coaxed, sliding my hands around her waist.

Her answer came fast, her arms thrown around my neck, her mouth crashing back to mine in another passionate kiss. I groaned, hauling her up, her legs tight around my hips as I carried her to the car.

Is this what true love is?

What is the matter with you? You don't even know her first name.

Hmmm… small details, but important ones.

Her laughter filled the night when I dropped her into the backseat. Pulling off my shirt, she hummed as I leaned over her.

"And what if someone sees us? Hmmm? We could get in trouble."

“Well, Sunshine, no one’s going to stop us. I run this city.” Well, Killian runs half of it... OK, technically all of it, but I'm there… most of the time.

"And if someone does come…” My teeth grazed her ear. "Then we'd better give them a damn good show.”

She gasped as my grip on her waist tightened, and she ran her hands over my shoulders, her breaths cutting short as she greedily lifted her hips to grind into mine.

Fuck, I wasn’t supposed to want her like this. But I’d never wanted a woman to beg, cry, and come undone as much as I wanted her. She was fucking perfect. Flawless, to be exact… And if she thought this was just a one-night stand? She had no idea what she’d started.

Dragging her down the hall by the waist, her vanilla scent wrecked me as she giggled into my neck.

“How the hell are we going to keep you quiet, Sunshine? People are sleeping.”

She kissed my throat, wicked little smile flashing as I unlocked the door. “I can think of a few ways.”

Her ass swayed through the room ahead of me, her eyes gleaming over the expensive suite.

“Spoiled brat,” I muttered under my breath.

My little fucking spoiled brat. Yeah, that definitely sounds better.

Looking at her, I felt almost weak in the knees… almost as if this wasn't some random girl I was about to sleep with.

I ran my eyes over her figure again as she gazed up at me. She looked so innocent and so fucking sexy at the same time… and if it wasn't for the tightness in my pants, I would've had a bit of restraint—but then she was on me, arms around my neck, lips swallowing mine, and I fucking lost it.

I crushed my mouth to hers, one hand fisting in her hair, the other gripping her plump little ass like it was made for me. And that scent. Vanilla. Fucking vanilla. How the hell did that scent make me harder than I already was?

I hauled her up by the thighs, carried her to the bed, and dropped her onto the sheets. She was quick with her hands, belt undone in seconds, while I kissed down her neck like a man starved, my hand threaded into her hair to keep her still.

I wanted to taste every part of her, brand my fucking name into her skin. Her little whine set me off further as I bit into her skin harder. My little spoiled brat. Mine.

When I found the restraint to let her go, she slid to her knees, and when her tongue dragged up the base of my cock, a hiss ripped out of me.

She glanced up through her lashes, lips wrapping around me, and I leaned my head back as she took me into her mouth.

"Fuck, Sunshine…”

She pulled back just enough to press a teasing kiss against the tip, giggling when my knees buckled just slightly.

Yeah… that about settles it. I'm going to fucking marry this girl.
